The flashing red and blue lights lit up her car as a cruiser zoomed around the corner after them. The wind whipped in their ears, along with the annoying sirens echoing throughout Canterlot. Their car whizzed around another corner, only to see three more police cruisers waiting for them. The driver stomped her foot down on the gas pedal, just missing the cruisers as they drove through a red light into oncoming traffic.

It was midnight, and a thick wall of dark fog obscured their vision. It was hard to see anyone; hard to make out the car speeding onto the same street as the girls. Headlights sped towards them, and before they had any time to react, they felt a colossal impact. Tires screeched and a car horn blared in their ears. Her body slammed against the seatbelt, and the shattered glass sliced her face and arms. The driver’s head smashed against the steering wheel. Her seatbelt unfastened and flung her through the window. No-one had any idea what was going to happen or how it even started.

One Love

Applejack sighed as she sat in her math class once again. According to Principal Celestia, she and her friends needed to redo an entire school year, even though they were supposed to have already graduated. At least they were together, though, and could make the teachers suffer more. Rainbow laughed as Pinkie started pulling faces. It was lunch, and they were given permission to eat in the classroom, as long as they cleaned up after themselves.

"Oh, Pinkie Pie. You're so random," Dash said as Pinkie dove over to her.

"I know." She laughed then snorted, which caused all six girls to laugh.

"There's still one thing that's really confusing me…" Sunset thought aloud.

"What's that, dear?" Rarity asked, concerned.

"Weren't we supposed to have graduated already?"

"Yeah, I thought we’d finished high school already," Dash answered.

“Aw darn! But hey! We don't have to learn anything new, plus we have cupcakes! Who doesn't like cupcakes?" Pinkie asked. Everyone giggled while Pinkie passed around a fresh batch. Applejack and Rarity declined.

"Sorry, Pinkie. Jackie and I already ate," Rarity replied politely as Pinkie smiled.

"That's alright anyway.... what are you guys doing tonight?" Pinkie asked.

"I'm going to visit Thunderlane," Dash admitted, as Sunset wolf whistled. "Hey! We're not ready for that," Dash said.

"Suuuure," Sunset answered, making everyone laugh.

"Well, it's the end of the day for us. Meet you all tonight at Sugarcube Corner," Applejack said as Rarity got grabbed hold of her hand  and walked out of the school to Rarity's car. Getting in, Rarity kissed Applejack on the cheek.

When they had fastened themselves in, Rarity set off towards her new apartment. Rarity bragged on and on about it, and had, of course, invited Applejack to move in with her. Applejack consented, but she didn't want to move in for at least another week. During the car ride, Applejack fell asleep as Rarity chuckled to herself. "Must have been tired." She looked back at the road. All of a sudden, a man walked right in front of her car. "Shit!" Rarity slammed her foot on the brake, but it was too late. The car skidded but wouldn't stop, so she swerved off the road, waking up Applejack. The relatively new car was smashed in the ditch, and the two young women gingerly climbed out of it.

"ExcuUUUSe me, mister!" Rarity shouted at the jaywalker. "Get back here this instant! Do you know HOW expensive this car was?"

Knowing that she was near Sunset's house, Applejack pulled out her cell and called her flame-haired friend. "Howdy Sunset… uh, Ah think me and Rares ain't gonna make it in time to Sugarcube Corner tonight…" Applejack said over the phone.

"Oh… uh… hey AJ… is everything okay?"

"Yeah, everything besides Rares's car. And that jaywalker."

"Oh my God! Did she hit someone?!" Sunset asked anxiously.

"Not with her car. Ah, haven't seen Rarity run this fast, except for that one big blowout sale at the mall."

"Poor dude. I'm gonna find you guys and try to help, kay? Be there in a few." Sunset hung up on her friend, quickly grabbing her keys and shoes.

Rarity was shouting her head off at him. "Why would you cross the road there!"

"Cause I needed to cross," he answered.

"Oh my FUCKING GOD! There was a crosswalk LESS THAN A HUNDRED FEET AWAY? HOW LAZY ARE YOU?!"

"Stop shouting at me!"

"NO! You almost killed me and my GIRLFRIEND!" The purple-haired girl was absolutely livid.

"Not my problem."

"SHUUUUT UUUUUUPPPP!!!! SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP!" she screamed.

She absolutely lost it. She almost pounced on him and reigned a barrage of fists and kicks on him. "It IS your fucking problem!" She dove on him as Applejack ran over and Sunset jumped out of her convertible. The two of them yanked their friend off her new found punching bag.

"We are so SO sorry about this!" Sunset stuttered, helping him up.

"Your friend is a fucking NUT JOB! Sort her out!" he spat at them and then limped away glaring.

"Get back here!" Rarity shouted.

"Rares, hun… please." Applejack tried to calm down her raging girlfriend.

"WHAT APPLEJACK?!?!?" she screeched back.

Applejack flinched. Never in her life had Rarity shouted at her like that. Sunset glanced nervously at Rarity. The angered girl stood panting, and slowly got her anger under control, opening her eyes to see what she just did. "Applejack, I didn't mean to shout."

Applejack pulled her into a hug as Rarity began to cry. "It's okay. Shh, shh… it's all good."

Police sirens broke the sound of sobs and comfort.

"Sunset give me your car keys," Applejack demanded quickly. "Get into the passenger side of her car." Sunset tossed her keys to Rarity.

No less than a minute later, a cop car pulled up and a tall, blue haired man stepped out. "I'm officer Shinning Armor. We had a call that someone was driving under the influence." He glanced at the crashed car and nodded to Applejack. "Was it you?" he asked sternly.

"Why, Ah'd never—" Applejack stammered.

Sunset quickly backed her up. "She would never do anything like that."

"Quiet, Sunset," the officer barked.

"How the hell do you know my name?" she shouted at him.

"You're under arrest for driving under the influence. Please turn around and put your hands in the air," Officer Armor barked at the stuttering blonde. Before she could think, Applejack made a run for Sunset's car. She got in, grabbed the keys and started the car up.

"Jackie? What's up?" a dazed Rarity asked.

"Ah'm being accused of causing the car crash." She stomped on the gas pedal, screeching away from Sunset and the cop car.

Dodging through the traffic and trying to be careful of civilians, Applejack swerved down the road, trying to escape the chasing police cars. All that the two girlfriends could hear were sirens, and the occasional, "Slow down, and turn the vehicle to the side."

Rarity rolled down her window and yelled back at their pursuers. "Aw… FUCK no!"

Despite Applejack's reckless driving, and Rarity's unladylike cursing, the police soon had the car surrounded. The blonde girl just barely noticed the two cruisers parked ahead of her, and slammed on her breaks, almost smashing her head into the steering wheel. The two girlfriends looked at each other, panting, as Rarity mouthed, "we are SO fucked."

Shining Armor and some other officers yanked the vehicle's doors open, and pulled out and handcuffed them. He shoved them both into the back of his cruiser and began driving them down to the station.
