Prologue
The sound of Hoof steps echoed in the dark corridor, an aura of purple magic soon pierced the all-consuming blackness. The air was cold, and smelled musty. The hooves soon came to a stop, to the untrained ear the difference in the way the echoes sounded would be indistinguishable but to the trained individual the slight change indicated that the material used to pave the ground had changed, if only slightly. The pony turned her magic light in front of her, it illuminated a slightly narrower tunnel then the one she was already in. She took a deep breath and then began to back up until she was sure she had enough space, she released the breath with a sigh and soon began to run forward, continuing to pick up speed, she got right to the edge of the new tunnle before pushing off the ground and spreading her wings in the air, she swept down the corrider with great speed, jagged, round saw blades struck out at her only a blur of silver only slightly illuimnated by the light of her horn, they were fast but she was faster ducking , weaving and doging with ease. Soon she reached the end and alighted back down on the ground taking a moment to pause and catch her breath. She looked over her shoulder one last time to see the trap that would be more at home in a Daring Do book, before continuing on her way.... Eventually she came to her destination, luckily she had managed to get through the rest of the traps that had been set up. She now stood in front of two very large wooden doors. She held her breath once more before letting it out and channeling her magic to surround the doors in a purple glow. The doors began to move as she pulled them with her magic, soon they swung open and she was greeted by a gust of cold wind and the taste of dirt. The doors opened to an even darker room, she paused for a moment before taking a step inside ready to meet what awaited her.....
Twilight Sparkle had always been appreciative of the connection she shared with her friends, one that had started when they were still all fillies and had experienced Rainbow Dash's Sonic Rainboom. Right now however she wished that they didn't have that connection, because she was in a insufferable amount of pain , she had just gone in to labor, fate of course had decided that she and her friends fall pregnant at relatively the same time, they had been exited at the time of course laughing at the coincidence of it all, but now as her body rattled with pain she wished that they didn't share that connection, if they didn't she wouldn't be in so much pain right now. A yellow hoof wrapped around hers.
"Don't worry honey, everything is going to be just fine." Came the reassuring voice of her husband Comet Tail.
It was weird now that Twilight thought about it that she and her friends were married, it seemed like only yesterday that she had first moved to ponyville. Life has a funny way of changing though, to everypony's surprise it was Fluttershy who was the first to marry, she and Big Mac had fallen in love and after a year together, decided to get married. The others soon followed suit, Rarity the next to marry happily wed Fancypants, followed by Rainbow Dash who married WonderBolt Sorin, Applejack married Caramel and Pinkie pie Cheese Sandwich when he had returned to ponyville and the two struck up a relationship. Finally Twilight herself married Comet tail, being a princess she had many suitors, but they all turned her off, in fact she had been trying to escape a particularly persistent suitor, when she had bumped into comet, He was embarrassed color rising to his checks as he apologized over and over. She reassured him that it was her fault, and asked him if she could hide at his house to lose her current pursuer, he had agreed and the two formed a friendship that eventually turned into to love... And eventually she and her friends began expecting foals, Fluttershy being the first again and Twilight the last, it was nice in a way at least their children would have friends to grow up with in their life, Twilight just wished she didn't have to go through all the pains of foal birth, finally after what seemed like a time longer then princess luna spent on the moon, Twilight's daugther was born, she had a purplish- pink coat, and her main and tail were multi-colered, like rainbow dash's, but more the tone of princess celestias mane.
"She's so beautiful" Comet softly commented, "have you decided on a name?"
"Aurora lights, Aurora in honor of Luna and Celestia and lights for my mother and perhaps for me as well."
"Aurora Lights, I love it it's just as beautiful as she is."
Twilight smiled at her husband, and then turned her attention back to her newborn foal "welcome to the world Aurora Lights"
