My Little Pony: Equestria Girls- Anthropology

It was a beautiful autumn afternoon in Ponyville, Lyra Heartstrings and her best friend Sweetie Drops, whose called by her nickname Bon Bon, were sitting on a bench talking and relaxing together. Bon Bon was just lying down on the bench, and Lyra was sitting up, like she always does. Lyra is very interested in humans, and sometimes likes to act like one. Ponies tell her that humans are a fake myth, but she doesn't think that at all. Although, Princess Twilight Sparkle experienced humans before when she went through the Crystal Mirror, a magical mirror that is a gateway to the human world. She went the alternate world to get her crown, the Element of Magic, back from a former student of Princess Celestia named Sunset Shimmer who stole the crown and took it with her to the human world. Sunset has now changed to a better person, and is now friends with Twilight and the Mane 5's human counterparts. Bon Bon always wondered why her best friend was so obsessed with human beings, so she decided to ask her.

"Lyra?" said Bon Bon, about to ask her unicorn friend the question, "How come you always sit like that?"

Lyra looked at her friend, she knew that she was talking about her interest in humans. The ponies that know Lyra and are her friends always wondered why she was fond of them.

"I don't know" Lyra answered, "It's just that I always wonder what it's like to be a human." Bon Bon rolled her eyes and sighed.

"Lyra, how many times do I have to tell you?" she said to her best friend, she was getting tired of the human thing, "Humans don't exist! It's just an old myth!"

"Oh come on, Bon Bon!" Lyra complained, "I know they exist, I just know it! There might be another world out there that has humans!"

"Ugh, you're so gullible, Lyra!" Bon Bon sighed.

Twilight Sparkle was taking an afternoon walk, and she saw and heard the two best friends and they're conversation about humans. So she walked up to them to see what was going on.

"Hi girls!" she greeted them. They both smiled and waved at her.

"Hey Twilight, it's been a while since we've seen each other." said Lyra, happy to see her old friend from Canterlot again. The unicorn and alicorn both hugged.

"You too, Lyra!" said Twilight, "And hi there, Bon Bon!" She greeted the indigo/pink maned earth pony, she smiled at Twilight.

"Hey, Twilight!" Bon Bon replied.

"So how are you two?" said Twilight.

"Well, Lyra here believes in humans and wants to be one." answered Bon Bon as she gave Lyra a look, she rolled her eyes.

Twilight was surprised from hearing this, she experienced humans before in the human world, in which Lyra and Bon Bon don't know about.

"Actually, I've seen humans before." Twilight responded, the best friends got VERY surprised and gasped.

"You did?!" they both said at the same time.

"Ummm, yes." Twilight answered a bit nervously.

"But how?" asked Bon Bon.

"Follow me and I'll show you." Twilight responded as she lead Lyra and Bon Bon to her castle.

When the three arrived at the castle and got inside, the Mane 5 were in the throne room, and the two best friends were amazed by the castle.

"Wow, this place is amazing!" said Bon Bon.

"Thanks." Twilight nodded while smiling, "My friend are in the throne room."

When they arrived at the throne room, the Mane 5 saw Twilight with Lyra and Bon Bon and smiled at them.

"Hi Twilight!" said Pinkie Pie waving at the princess. "You too, Lyra and Bon Bon!"

"Hey girls!" greeted Twilight.

"Hi!" said Lyra and Bon Bon at the same time.

"So what brings you two here?" asked Applejack.

"Well, somepony here believes in humans." Bon Bon answered as she pointed at Lyra.

"I know they're real!" said Lyra, she then turned to Twilight. "Right they're real, Twilight?"

“Relax, Lyra. Just listen and I’ll show you.” said Twilight as she went up to the Crystal Mirror, it use to be in the library until it was moved to the throne room.

“See this mirror?” said Twilight as she pointed at the mirror.

“Yes?” said the two puzzled friends.

“This mirror is no ordinary mirror.” Explained Twilight, “It’s a gateway to the human world.”

Lyra squealed with joy as she listened, Bo Bon rolled her eyes at her.

“it’s opens once every 30 moons, and stays open for only 3 days.” Twilight continued, “But on the third day when the moon reaches it’s peak, the gateway closes, and won’t open until another 30 moons.”

“Has it been 30 moons already?” asked Lyra.

“With some mechanical parts and my magic journal I use to write to my friends that are from there, I was able to re-open the portal, and now I can go through the portal anytime I want.”

Lyra squealed again, she really wanted to visit the human world and become a human.

“Can I go, Twilight? Please please please?!” Lyra begged to Twilight.

“I don’t think that’s a good idea, Lyra.” She responded, “Things would get VERY confusing if TWO of you were in that world.”

“Oh come on, Twilight!” Lyra whined impatiently, “I REALLY wanna see what it’s like to be a human!”

“Ugh! Why are you so obsessed with humans?” asked Rainbow Dash who was getting annoyed just like Bon Bon. Lyra gave everypony a look, the music started to play.

“Oh, so you wanna know?” said Lyra with a smirk.

“Yes!” said Bon Bon and the Mane 6, all at the same time. Then, Lyra started to sing.

Human beings fascinate me.

Being just the way they are.

Tell me, little ponies, can you push a cart, or drive a car?

Lyre is my instrument, but humans strum their sweet guitar.

It's a mystery.

Fingers, toes, and tiny noses.

Brownish hair and tanish skin.

Would it be too much to ask to see the world they're living in?

Everybody tells me that it's old and fake mythology.

Who's to say that they're all gone?

Maybe humans like us too and dress like us at Comic-Con!

Once the song ended, Lyra goes into the Crystal Mirror! Bon Bon and the Mane 6 all gasped after what they just saw.

“Lyra, no!” Bon Bon cried as she ran up to the mirror and had tears running down her face. Fluttershy flew up to her and gave her a hug.

“Don’t worry, Bon Bon.” she said, trying to cheer Bon Bon up, “Maybe Twilight will help you bring Lyra back to Equestria.”

“Yeah.” answered Twilight, “Lyra needs to understand that it’s important to be happy for who she really is.”

“Of course.” Applejack responded, “Besides, It’ll get confusing with two Lyras in the same world.”

“So I’m coming with you, Twilight?” asked Bon Bon.

“Of course you are, Bon Bon.” Twilight smiled at her, “But I have to warn you, once we’re there, we’re going to look a bit different than from we use to be.”

“What do you mean?” Bon Bon asked.

“You’ll see.” answered Twilight as they both got closer to the mirror.

“Ready.” said Twilight.

“Ready.” Bon Bon responded.

“Good luck girls.” said Rarity, “And be careful out there.”

“We will.” answered Twilight.

“Bye!” said the Mane 5 as Twilight and Bon Bon entered the gateway to the human world.

Spike walked into the throne room rubbing his eye after finishing taking his nap, he looked around and wondered where Twilight was. While Spike was taking a nap, Twilight left the castle for a walk, so he didn’t know that she left until now.

“Have any of you seen Twilight?” he asked yawning, the Mane 5 looked at him and didn’t know what to say. Sunset Shimmer has told Twilight about the events of the Friendship Games and how they met her human counterpart. And Twilight told the same to her pony friends. The Mane 5 didn’t want to tell Spike that Twilight went into the human world, because if they did, Spike would want to go, and there would be TWO Spikes in that world. The human world Spike got the ability to talk from the magic at Canterlot High, so both Spikes can talk, and it would get VERY confusing with two Spikes in the same world. So Pinkie Pie decided to tell him a little bit of the truth.

“She went out for a walk!” she said with a smile as she jumped up and down on her throne, everypony else gave her looks, since she almost told the truth.

“What?” she asked curiously.
