Shattered

Somewhere in the wastes of the Frozen North, an Alicorn with an ethereal red mane and an ice blue coat awoke.

Providence slowly opened his eyes and found himself inside a stone cavern; he stood up and looked around, searching for an exit. A sudden sharp pain in his head made him drop back down to his knees, as old memories returning back to him."...Celestia...the betrayal,” he quietly snarled in anger.

She was going to pay for that, but for now, he will have to train, for he is still weak.

Somewhere in Canterlot, Celestia felt a sudden cold. She suddenly also remembered what she had done to Providence. She hoped it was the right thing to do. The prophecy said that in that year he would become a Shattered. She needed to protect her subjects as the last Shattered had slain almost all the Alicorns.

She thought: ‘Right?’

She had absolutely no idea it was she who made him a Shattered.
