A My Little Pony Fan Fiction
Introduction: It would be the same every week. She would go to the river on the edge of the Everfree Forest. Stashing a knife in a tree nearby, she’d then take the knife, and slowly cut herself on the side of her arm. Shedding the blood into the river, to relive stress. Ponies could only guess how much they would put on her. But on every Sunday, at 12:00AM, she would come in secret.
Pinkie Pie was a regular pony who lived in Ponyville. She would have many parties to throw. Each one being better than the last. But she would get an unusual, strange feeling. Her Pinkie sense would give her a shiver. From her legs and head to her stomach would shake. She asked a traveling pony named Cheese Sandwich if his Cheesy sense had ever done the same. He said he’s had nothing close to it. Still she went on with her secret. Party after party, week after week. But, there was one day…
“Pinkie, this party is the best!” Said Twilight.
“It is simply divine.” Agreed Rarity.
Rarity was standing by the punch table, sipping her punch constantly.
“Say, where did you manage to find these adorable streamers?” Asked Rarity.
“I made them myself! Well, me and Gummy.” Said Pinkie hugging her pet alligator.
Gummy was moving his tail to the music, with a streamer in his toothless mouth.
“And this cake!” Muffles Dash with her mouth full of cake. “It’s amazing! Where did you find the time to make that?”
“It took all day to plan this one. I’m beat!” Said Pinkie while bouncing up and down repeatedly.
“Well, I think it’s getting pretty late,” Said Fluttershy yawning.
“I still need to tuck the animals in for bed.”
“Yeah, I reckon you’re right.” Agreed Applejack.
“I can’t wait to hit the hay tonight!” Spike said excitedly.
“I heard it’s supposed to rain!”
“That’s what the weather ponies agreed to.” Replied Rainbow Dash.
“Great party Pinks! See you soon!” Said Twilight.
“Bye! Thanks for coming” Yelled Pinkie as everypony left.
Pinkie nervously waited for her friends to leave to do her business.
After cleaning, she walked out the back door of Sugarcube Corner. As she trotted towards the river, she thought to herself: Why do I put myself through it? It’s causing me to cut until I feel to fade.
But she took her mind off it by the time she got there. She went to grab her knife, and slowly cut right next to last week’s. As she bled over the streams of water, she spoke aloud to herself.
“What if the others find out? What if they’ll think I’m crazy and never want to be my friends again?” It started to rain, soaking her mane which was already flat of her being sad, feeling empty inside.
It stung, but she was too focused on the words coming out of her mouth to notice….”What if they tell everypony in Ponyville I’m a weirdo? Yup, Pinkie Pie. The big fat weirdo who cuts herself. I couldn’t dare tell them. I guess it’s just another secret to keep in my storage of 1,000 secrets.”
Pinkie sighs, and slowly walks home in the rain.
Pinkie hadn’t slept the night before. She heard a knock on the door. It was Twilight.
“Hi Pinkie! Did you sleep well?” Asked Twilight.
“Um…yeah!” Pinkie smiled. “Whats up?” Asked Pinkie.
“I was just wondering if you could help me with an experiment!” Explained Twilight. “It’s about your eyes. I’m currently studying how the magic reacts in your eyes.”
“Huh?” Pinkie questioned.
“Well, since your eyes are light blue, and are beautiful being my favorite color. And how being an earth pony, will not cause a horn to burst. Or wings to flap, you'd be perfect!” Said Twilight.
Pinkie blushes slightly.
“Of course! I love experiments!” Pinkie bounced.
“Ok! Come with me!” Twilight said as they walked (or bounced) to the Castle.
Once they got in the lab, Twilight sets up a few things before getting started.
“Hang on Pinkie, I have to go grab something. Just sit here, and try to remain calm for it.”
Pinkie sits in the middle of the room, and waits. She starts to get really sleepy. She suddenly jumps up when Twilight trots in.
“Found it!” Shouts Twilight.
“Here Pinks. Put your hooves up…”
Twilight stops for a moment.
Pinkie looks to see that Twilight has a concerned look on her face.
“Pinkie, what happened to your arm?!”
Pinkie remembers and searches for excuses.
“Um, I was leveling cakes! So I could, stack them. Yeah, it kinda slipped and cut me.” Pinkie said nervously.
“Hm…I thought you were right hoofed.” Said Twilight.
“Well, I’m ambidextrous!” Pinkie beams.
“That doesn’t surprise me, silly pink pony!” Twilight laughs.
“But I think we should put something over that.”
Twilight levitates some wrap over from another room.
She starts to wrap up Pinkie’s arm, leaving cloth where the cuts were.
“Does this not hurt? Those cuts were pretty deep.” Twilight said with a worried look.
“Nopey dopey!” Pinkie smiles.
“Really? Not at all?” Twilight was surprised.
“Not at all!” Pinkie giggles.
Twilight smiles. “Ok Pinks!” Twilight giggled.
“Lets get started.”
“Ok, now keep your eye open for a sec.”
Twilight holds Pinkie’s eye open, to scan it over it.
“Hm…. the tests seem to show that it only should spark with the others, and which we need the other girls, and their elements.”
Twilight was saying as she looked through the papers.
“But since Rarity had to go to Canterlot for her boutique today, and Applejack had to help Big Mac with the harvest of apples, we can’t get them. Sorry Pinkie.” Twilight apologized.
“It’s all good!” Pinkie shouted, smiling.
“Really?” Questioned Twilight.
“Of course! We should have lunch later!” Pinkie smiled while bouncing around.
“Sure!” Agreed Twilight. “How about 11:30?”
“Sounds good! See ya later!” Pinkie said bouncing out the doors.
As Pinkie bounced out…..
“Pinkie Pie! Oh thank Celestia we found you!”
“Huh?” Pinkie looks down to see three little fillies standing in front of her.
“Oh, hey girls!” Pinkie greeted.
“Hey Pinks! We need your help!” Apple Bloom grabs onto Pinkie’s shoulders.
“Well, what do you need?” Pinkie smiles.
“We’re throwing a party to celebrate our treehouse’s anniversary of when it was re-modeled!” Sweetie Belle shouted.
“Or just the Cutie Mark Crusaders club in all.” Scoots replied. All three smile at Pinkie.
“So, what would you like of what I can do?” Pinkie asked.
“A cake!” Yelled Sweetie. “Streamers!” Shouted Scootaloo.
“Balloons and confetti!” Apple Bloom added.
Pinkie smiles. “Of course girls! How about when?”
“Tomorrow! After school!” Sweetie jumped up.
“Hm, maybe…” Pinkie grinned.
“Huh? What do you mean?” Scoots questioned.
“After-after school?” Pinkie asked.
“Yes! After-after school!” Apple Bloom repeated.
Pinkies giggles.
“Oh you silly filly! I’ll set up your treehouse. But I don’t think I can stay. I have to run Sugarcube Corner!” Pinkie smiles.
“Yes! Thanks Pinkie Pie!” Yelled Scoots at they rode off. Scoots on her scooter, and the others in their wagon.
Just as Pinkie bounced off… “Pinkie!”
Pinkie stopped. “Oh, hi Octavia!”
“Pinkie! I need you to…”
Pinkie interrupts. “…help you and get you a party reserved tomorrow night for Vinyl’s birthday because you have nothing planned yet? Of course!”
Pinkie shouted excitedly.
“Yes, exactly. How did you know?” Octy questioned.
“Oh, I know everypony’s birthday!” Said Pinkie.
“Oh thank you Pinks!” Octavia smiled.
“Oh! I told her we would practice later! See you soon!”
Pinkie waved as she ran off.
Later, Pinkie bounced to Twilight’s castle and knocked on the giant doors. Just as Twilight walked out…”SURPRISE!” Yelled Pinkie at Twilight.
“AH!” Twilight jumped. “Oh, hehe. Hi Pinks! You ready?” Asked Twi.
“Well, are yooouuu ready?” Pinkie said dramatically.
Twilight sighed. “Yes Pinkie.”
“Well let’s go!” Pinkie shouted.
As they were talking, the sudden question came up.
“Say Pinkie, what do you you do after parties?” Twilight asked.
“Well, it depends on a lot! After cleaning, I run Sugarcube Corner, plan the next party, brighten everypony’s day, stuff like that.” Pinkie replied.
“Wow, don’t you get tired or stressed?” Quetioned Twilight.
“Of course! That’s what the river is for!” Pinkie said.
“The river?” Asked Twilight.
“Yeah, the one I go to every weekend where….” Pinkie noticed what she was saying.
“I mean…I…go there to celebrate! For the animals! In the Everfree, Forest. Yeah.” Pinkie was really nervous at this point.
“Um, are you sure?” Twilight wondered.
“Yes! Yes I’m sure!” Pinkie was a sweat waterfall.
Twilight knew Pinkie was lying, but she didn’t know what else she would do at river.
She thought, “Would she go to play? There would be nopony there but Zecora. And Zecora lives on the other side of of the forest anyway. Would she go there to invite certain ponies? But who would they be besides her best friends?
Would she ditch out on them? I doubt that.”
Twilight took her mind off of it with food. But she had a plan.
That afternoon, when Pinkie ran Sugarcube Corner, Dash walked in.
“Hey Pinks!” said Rainbow.
“Hi Dashie!” Replied Pinkie Pie.
“I see you have to run this place, huh?” Asked Dash
“Yup! From 1:00 to 5:00.” Said Pinkie.
“That sucks. I only did weather for two hours today.” Said Dash.
“Lucky!” Pinkie said as she was putting a bag of flour on the highest shelf.
“Yeah, but what happened to your arm?” Rainbow asked.
“Oh, I…was just leveling the the cakes and I slipped.” Pinkie let the words slip out of her mouth.
“Wow, a knife’s never good. Is it bad?” Asked Dash
“Not really, it’s cool. Speaking of cool, we have a new strawberry orange milkshake called Storangetastic! Would ya like one?” Offered Pinkie.
“Sure!” Dash passes over two bits.
“Thank you!” As Pinkie takes them and gives Rainbow the milkshake.
“Wow, this is pretty good! Thanks Pinks!” Said Dash as she walked out the door.
“And that’s how a customer is done!” Pinkie said to herself.
This week was really slow. CMC’s party, Vinyl’s party, National Ice Cream day party, Carrot’s party, and let’s not even get started on Wednesday. It was a Saturday evening, and Pinkie was in her room, playing with Gummy.
“Gummy, I don’t know why I do it. The others just wouldn’t get it.” Pinkie sighed.
“I guess I don’t don’t get it either.” Pinkie told her pet alligator.
She dove under Gummy, making him to pretend be an airplane.
“Alligator-plane time!” Pinkie shouted as Gummy went soaring through the air on Pinkie’s hoof. Gummy had his arms out like an airplane for Pinkie’s pleasure.
“Come on Gummy! Let’s go hop around town, before I have to do my business.” Pinkie whispered as she bounced out the door.
Little did she know that Twilight had been listening through the window.
“I’m gonna have to follow her all night to find that out. All I found the river was a brick of wood that said: DO NOT COME AFTER SATURDAY AT 11:00PM TO SUNDAY AT 1:00AM. I don’t know what that means, but I’m going.” Said Twilight to herself.
Pinkie Pie bounced around Ponyville with Gummy in her hair.
“Hi Lyra! Hi Bon Bon! Hi Bulk Biceps! Hi Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon! Hi Granny Smith! Hi Cheerilee! Hi Dr. Whooves and Derpy!”
Pinkie eventually got tired of bouncing around, saying hi to everypony again and again because they were all going in for the night.
As Celestia lowered the sun and Luna raised the moon, Pinkie went in to put Gummy inside. She looked around, and nopony was awake. So she left, and so did Twilight.
Pinkie got to the river, and sat there. She felt something else was there.
Twilight hid behind a tree, next to a bush so she could peek over.
Pinkie slowly walked over to her knife, looking around constantly.
She thought it was silly, so she went back as usual. Her mane was strait, she wore a frown, but her eyes. She’s use to shedding tears, but the strange feeling of somepony watching her wouldn’t allow it.
Twilight, on the other hoof, was pretty surprised. She thought she would go there to meet with a group, or gang. Instead, she was gonna cut herself?
Twilight felt like going up to Pinkie to stop her, but she has a knife in her hoof, and Twilight wanted to tell the others first.
Pinkie started to cut, and this time it was a lot shorter than usual, but enough for a few drops to go into the river. Twilight knew this was for stress, because she brought it up after Twilight asked about it.
She felt bad for Pinks. She had no idea somepony that happy could do something so dark. Pinkie put her knife back, and headed home.
Twilight went up to where she was, and saw a blood dripping in the grass. After looking around for anything else, she went home.
“Is that really all? I hope so. I need to warn the others about this.”
It had been late that Twilight stayed up that night, and early this morning. She went to door to door of her friends to tell them to meet her at the castle. They all showed up, one by one.
“Hey, where’s Pinkie? She’s usually the first one here!” Said Rainbow.
“We’re here, because of her.” Twilight said as she walked over.
“W…what happened?” Applejack asked.
“Well, you might not understand at first, but…”
Twilight took a deep breath.
“Pinkie, on every Sunday she would go to a river on the edge of the Everfree Forest….”
Fluttershy nodded, as she was familiar of this river.
“But at 12:00AM, she would come in secret. I spied on her last night, and found some pretty disturbing results.”
Rarity hates the word disturbing. She lays her ears back, as being concerned.
“She would stash knife in a tree nearby, and… cut her arm to bleed into the river.” Twilight hesitated to say.
Everypony got really worried now.
“But why would she do that?” Fluttershy asked.
“To relive stress, but don’t tell her I told you, I have a plan.”
Twilight told them the plan.
They all left the castle and trotted over to Pinkie’s door in Surgarcube Corner.
Applejack was the one to walk up and knock on her door, while Rarity was trying to look up away from her arm.
Pinkie opened the door. “Hi guys!” Pinkie shouted.
“Hey, Pinks. Um, we were wondering if we could have a sleepover.” Applejack made herself say.
“Of course! When?” Pinkie asked.
They noticed Pinkie had her arm wrapped up again.
Fluttershy stepped up. “Next Saturday night? I think…” Murmured Fluttershy.
“O…k? Yes! Yes that works.” Pinkie said nervously.
“Do you mind that it would be set here?” Rarity asked.
Pinkie swallows hard. “Sure!” She answered.
“There! It’s a plan.” Said Twilight.
“See ya later Pinks!” Said Dash.
Pinkie closed her door and ran back in her room.
“Oh what did I put myself into? It’s a routine I have! I can’t change that! I’ll have to do my own…” Pinkie said to herself while thinking of those words.
The week had been slow. More parties after parties.
It had definitely been tiresome. They all got together at Twilight’s castle to go over the plan. “Remembers girls, anything could happen.” Twilight said right before they left.
Pinkie was setting up everything, and was really nervous.
“How am I gonna go through with this plan?” She asked herself.
She heard a knock on her door.
“Come on in!” She said as her friends walked in.
“I like what you did with the place!” Rarity said.
“Thanks!” Pinkie replied. Make yourselves a home!” Pinkie yelled.
It became later that night. Pinkie and Twilight were laying on the bed, Dash was on her couch, and Applejack, Fluttershy and Rarity were on the floor. They were all talking about their jobs, Canterlot, as usual.
Until the question came up….
“Ok now, I think we all really know why we came here.” Twilight continues. “I was the one who planned this out, and we have something we need to…put an end to.”
Everypony understood, except Pinkie Pie.
“Pinks, this is for you.” Twilight said. All of the sudden Pinkie clicked.
“Wait, you know about the…” Pinkie said. Twilight put her hoof up to Pinkie’s mouth, and nods.
“Now lay back, and try to remain calm.” Twilight puts her hoof on Pinkie’s forehead, to keep her down.
The others gather around her, whispering to Twi of what she would say.
Pinkie was totally confused, but trusted her friends.
“Ok, now do not think of the river. And don’t take this personally, it’s just a test.” Twilight paces around the bed.
“Now, there’s a party next week that takes you five hours for a cake. Five hours! How are you gonna pull that off? Oh yeah, and that order you promised Daisy? You can’t make that at six in the morning!
You can’t do eleven parties in one week!”
Twilight kept going, as the words started running through Pinkie’s brain. She realized that they have been in her party planning cave. Pinkie started to twitch, she kept blinking, she started to shake.
Rainbow held her legs down, Applejack and Rarity had her arms, and Fluttershy her head. Twilight flew above Pinkie, and stood over her.
She continued to speak, as Pinkie continued to shake. She was blinking constantly, and tried to get up with her friends keeping her down. She’s shaking uncontrollably, as it’s still increasing. Twilight stops for a moment, right as the clock hits twelve.
That’s when Pinkie stopped. Her pupils shrunk, her ears fell back, and she was perfectly still. Her eye twitched, but slightly.
“Are you…ok Sugarcube?” Said Applejack.
“Yes, I’m completely fine.” Pinkie replied still staring into Twilight’s eyes. Pinkie started to breath heavy.
“Are you sure?” Asked Twilight kinda creeped out.
“Yes! Hehaha!” Pinkie started to snap.
“I need to leave!” Pinkie yelled, while trying to get up forcefully.
“You can’t go there!” Dash shouted trying hard to hold her down.
“Let…me…GO!” Pinkie screamed. She gathered enough force to finally jump up, off of her bed. Twilight flew in front of her, tackling her down while Dash stood in front of her. Pinkie sprung up, punching Twilight in the eye, and bucking Rainbow in her right, front hoof. She ran out the door and out the back of Sugarcube Corner.
“Catch her!” Dash yelled.
“No, let her go.” Twilight said covering her eye.
Fluttershy runs up to the two.
“Oh my gosh! Are you guys ok?” Fluttershy asked.
“Not if Pinkie isn’t.” Dash said.
“It’s ok. She’ll only do a small cut. It won’t be so bad! Hehe, I hope.” Rarity said, holding Twilight’s black eye up.
“How much damage could she do?” Applejack asked while wrapping Rainbow’s hoof.
“I think just need to wait for a little. That’s all.” Fluttershy fakes a smile.
Pinkie runs of over to the river. She grabs the knife, with the blade cutting her mouth.
“Oh what now! There gonna go tell everypony I’m a big fat jerk! I just needed to get away because I didn’t wanna hurt them.” She starts to tear up. “Well, it’s to late now. I hope they never forgive me. I’m gonna leave! I hope they don’t ever come find me, and that they’ll take care of Gummy.” She cuts her arm. “Maybe, if give more blood…NO all of my blood, I can never stress again! Hehe! HAHAHA!” She starts to toss the knife around. Not caring of where it hits. She strikes it across her eye, almost through her eyelid. She slits open her shoulder, her ear, and small cuts everywhere else.
She doesn’t notice she’s bleeding anymore. Coughing every now and then, she sits completely still, staring at her soul with her reflection in the river. She can’t feel the pain.
Her reflection has her fluffy, pink hair, her beautiful bright blue eyes, and her soft, pink fur. She has not cuts in her reflection, just her pink pony self smiling back at her. She just sits there, staring.
“This way everypony.” Twilight said running over to the forest.
“Shouldn’t she be back by now?” Applejack asked while running.
“I don’t know, I only saw it once. But I know where she…should…BE?!”
Twilight noticed….something.
They all looked forward, and saw it. Rarity automatically ran and jumped behind a bush, trying to forget what she just saw.
Fluttershy tears up, imaging how the pain would feel.
Dash waves her hoof forward towards Pinkie.
All of them but Rarity slowly walk up to her, shaking.
“Um, Pinkie?” Dash slips out of her mouth.
Pinkie doesn’t hear her in her mind.
Rainbow goes up and tries to sit still next to her.
She holds her wing out, and places it gently on Pink’s back, not caring about the blood.
“Tsk tsk, Pinkie?” Twilight waves her hoof in front of Pinkie’s face, but she ignores it. Pinkie coughs once.
“Is…she ok?” Fluttershy asks.
“Ah hope so.” Applejack said with a worried look on her face.
Pinkie twitches while Twilight is still trying to catch her attention.
“Pinkie? Pinkie!” Twilight shakes Pink’s shoulders.
“Pinkie snap out of it!” Twilight uses more force, and sighs. She holds Pinkie’s chin up.
“Pinkie, please, are you ok?” Twilight has a very concerned look.
Pinkie blinks once, and brings her hoof up and lays it on Twilight’s.
“Twi….?” Pinkie passes out.
“No….NO!” Twilight tries to wake her up with everything she knew.
Applejack holds Twilight back and takes her behind a tree.
“Honey, it’s ok. What’s up?” Applejack asked.
“I, just don’t know. She can’t quit! I need to….!”
“Shhhh, she’ll be fine.” Applejack interrupts. “You just need to calm down Twi.”
“What could have happened?” Fluttershy asked while holding Pinkie up gently with her wing.
“I’m not sure. Blood loss? Just being overwhelmed?” Dash questioned while doing the same.
“That is…much blood.” Rarity said wandering out of the bush.
Minutes pass, as Twilight and Applejack come out from behind the tree.
“How is she?” Asked Applejack.
“She still isn’t waking up.” Fluttershy replied.
Twilight sighs, then steps forward.
“I think I may have a spell to revive her, but not heal her. Her heart rate appears fine, and so does her breathing. But when she wakes up, she’ll be in a excessive amount of pain.” Said Twi.
“If it’ll bring our Pinks back, I’m sure she’ll be ok.” Applejack said.
“Ok, Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy, hold her up the way she is now. Rarity and Applejack, you keep her awake. She might start to black out, or worse.” Twilight told them as they got ready.
“Three…two…one.” Twilight then casted the spell with her horn pressing against Pinkie’s head.
Pinkie hardly opened her one eye that wasn’t cut. Not like she could open the other.
She woke up, and all of the sudden...she can feel it.
She can’t control it. She’s shaking with pain now.
“WHAT?! IT DIDN’T HURT…..BEFORE!” Pinkie shouted while constantly moving around.
“Pinkie! Just breath! Remain calm!” Twilight shouted.
Pinkie tried to do what Twilight said, but it seemed impossible at this point. She kept moving back and forth, as the two pegasi were struggling to keep her still. Both of them had each wing wrapped around her. After a while, she starts to calm down.
The pegasi let go of her, Rarity is laying against her, with her hooves wrapped around her and Applejack is sitting in front of her, beside Twilight. Pinkie had been crying the entire time, and still is.
“Are you feeling ok now?” Applejack asked.
“No, but better.” Pinkie said. She spoke up.
“I’m super sorry for being a jerk to guys. I only wanted to get away so I wouldn’t hurt you. I guess I was to late.”
“Pinkie, we were the ones holding you back. We’re sorry.” Said Twilight as they all agree.
“I think it’s about time to go home. You seriously need to get cleaned up Pinks.” Rarity said.
“Hehe, I guess so.” Pinkie said as they all walked home.
After they were clean, they all sat down. Pinkie was covered in bandages. She had an eyepatch over her cut eye, and her ear was wrapped up.
“Are you feeling better?” Fluttershy asked, putting her wing around Pinkie.
“I think so.” Pinkie replied.
“Pinkie, if you’re ever stressed, you know you can just come to us.” Twilight told her.
Pinkie sighs as she looks down. Fluttershy messed with her hair, which was now fluffed up as usual.
“Yeah! A cloud ride is always reliving!” Dash said a she flies up in the middle of the room.
Twilight uses her “doesn’t approve” face at Rainbow.
“Pinkie, whatever your comfortable with is fine. We just don’t think putting yourself through that sort of pain is worth it.” Twilight said.
“You guys are right. I don’t know what I’d without you. Or, that river.”
Pinkie said. “But, I think I’m better off away from that thing.”
Pinkie shivers by thinking of it, and the sting.
“We think you are too.” Rarity said.
Pinkie smiles, then hugs Fluttershy back. She ends up falling asleep, laying against Flutter, who was also laying back.
“You good over there hun?” Applejack asked.
Fluttershy looks up. “I think we’ll be just fine.”
