Ponyville has always been a peaceful place. Friendship reigns supreme, business thrives, and everyone carries on about their productive and happy lives. Anon has found he likes it here, and is just settling into his new life.

Then, one bleak dawn, everything shatters.

Now, Anon and Twilight Sparkle are left with the task of unraveling the mysterious circumstances surrounding a vicious attack on a young filly. And no matter how prepared Twilight thinks they are, neither of them are ready for the journey they're about to face. Their search for answers may uncover not only the horror of what really happened, but things long forgotten about Anon's past, feelings no one knew were there, and the very nature of what it means to exist in Equestria.
