//-------------------------------------------------------// Brony Island -by SketchyToons- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue Prologue My name is Drawpen and I've been living here on New Equestria Island for my whole life.  I was born on the island sixteen years ago.  Five years after that, my little brother Feather Swish was born.  We have been living with our parents in our house right on the beach.  Every one on the island would find out that they have a special talent by the time they reach my age.  My talent is drawing.  I spend most of my time drawing the beautiful view of the ocean from outside of my bedroom window. My parents are strict about living out our culture.  Dad is always enthusiastic about putting spooky decorations around the house every Nightmare Night, and for as long as I could remember, Hearths Warming Eve has always been my mothers favorite holiday. One thing that I never quite understood was that pretty much every aspect of our society had something to do with colorful ponies.  Everyone on the island has idles of ponies in their homes on top of their mantles and bookshleves.  From what I've heard, the six ponies that are most common in peoples homes represent each of the six "elements of harmony".  I really don't  know a whole lot about these "elements of harmony" , mostly because I never really paid attention to them or cared.  The one element I actually know about is the element of generosity which is represented by a unicorn called Rarity.  I feel like generosity is the most important aspect of life to live by, so I bought an idle of Rarity on top of my desk. The one thing that I really hate about our community is that everything in the media always had something to do with ponies.  The only time ponies aren't on TV is if the news was on.  Because of this, I can never get any of my drawings out to the public.  I have a stack of my drawings in my basement that no one, not even my own parents, would ever consider to real art. I'm not sure why ponies have a big impact on the island.  I'm sure a hundred years ago, when the island was settled on, there was a pretty clear reason why things are the way they here, but at this point in time, I don't think anyone has any real idea.
