love ya too alarm clock , I thought as that stupid annoying alarm clock went off.
My name is Twilight Sparkle, I'm a lavender unicorn with a straight plum mane with violet and cerise streaks and have eyes that match the color of an amethyst. "Crap!" I said looking at the clock. Luckily, I didn't oversleep too much, relief .
"Mornin' Twi!" My 'Number One' Assistant announced. I waved at him as I levitated one of the crowns I received from Princess Celestia herself onto my head. I couldn't wait to attend Manehatten High School and meet new friends! As Princess Celestia's prized pupil, I am expecting to do well in high school. So enough of this time wasting! I gotta get ready for school!
It' s been only five minutes and I'm already in a good mood. I mean, my locker is in a good area and my schedule is pretty simple! Yup, I'm gonna do just fine! I trotted up to my locker and put away my things. I do miss Spike, but It's been like that since second grade, so not bad. I haven't heard anything about any popular girls, but since I've been here for six minutes, I didn't expect anypony to straight off the bat walk up to me just to warn me. But got my warning. Oh. Yes. I. Did. *fake gun shoot noise *.
I was just casually touring myself around the school and chilling out (even though I'm usually stressed) when I saw a buttercream yellow mare with a simple, but pretty pink mane and eyes the color of jades, so pretty I thought. Three other mares, the first one being a thistle colored pegasus with a cotton candy pink mane and eyes the color of tanzanites, the second, a lemon drop with a hint of orange colored unicorn with a red and yellow mane and eyes that were the color of jades, like the buttercream pony's eyes, and the third and final one was a white unicorn who had a violet, silver, cyan, and blue colored mane and eyes that was as deep of a blue as sapphires were. But the thistle mare had been taunting the buttercream mare, which meant I needed to stop it, now . I walked up to the mares and said what I learned, is one of the worst things to say to a popular mare,
"Leave her alone."
"Excuse me?" The popular mare asked, "Who do you think you are?!"
"I think I'm Twilight Sparkle, now step away from the mare now ."
"You must be a newbie, never seen you around. I'm Sweet Song the most popular girl in the school." Sweet Song's eyes shot daggers at me when she said 'school', "Now, I'd step away if I were you. Besides, I wasn't done with Fluttershy" Sweet Song pointed at the whimpering mare pushed against a locker.
"Why should I step away from you?!"
Then, it happened.
You obviously don't know what I mean when I say (or write) what I wrote, so one word for you : pain.
"Ow!!!"
"Hehe…"
"Stop!!!!!"
"Make me!"
"I-I can't!!!"
"Then that's too bad…"
…
"Twilight!!! Wake up!!! Please!!! I don't like to see ponies like this!!!" "Darling!!! Wake up please!!! Hmm… what does she like Rainbow?" "Heck if I know!!! Earth to Twi! Do you repeat?" "That's not going to work!!! The mare's unconscious for Ceslestia's sake!!!" "Well?! I'll try somethin' else!!!"
"Wha!!!" I was in the nurse's office and I saw a different mare, not like the pegasus I tried to stand up for, or the ivory unicorn I ran into, but another mare. This one had a cyan coat, a spectrum colored mane, and rubellite colored eyes. She looked up from her phone and looked up at me. We locked gazes.
"You new?" The mare asked, interrupting the silence.
"Yes. Why?" I asked.
"That explains it!"
"What?" I looked confusedly at the other mare.
"Sweet Song is the most popular mare in school! Take it from me, she's a life ruiner. Heck, I saw this mare last week who had a cast on her foreleg because of that mare!" The cyan pegasus explained. I gulped. This didn't sound good, it sounded terrible actually.
I already looked bad when this Sweet Song mare beat me up! I can't imagine the next! I felt my stomach churn. None of today's results were as sweet as Sweet Song's name, that's for sure. Then I looked at that mare who just finished explaining all of the sour details about Sweet.
"What's your name?" I asked.
"Name's Rainbow Dash."
"I'm Twilight Sparkle"
"Nice ta meet ya! See ya 'round?" Rainbow asked.
"Sure!" I replied, "Gotta go now. Don't want to be late for class!"
"Bye!" Rainbow Dash picked up her bag and waved. I seemed completely nonchalant in my conversation with Rainbow Dash, but my was racing through thoughts and emotions. I was excited that I met somepony nice, I was angry at Sweet Song for picking on Fluttershy, and I was scared that Sweet Song would attempt to kill me or something. Overall the butterflies in my stomach were having a huge party.

Oh you know me… oh wait! This isn't Twilight. It's Fluttershy… Sorry.

Anyways, this unicorn came out of nowhere! And boy was I glad! Sunset Shimmer was too busy on her phone, Dazzle Spark (I hate to offend her, but) being an idiot, she decided to look at the stupid new lunch menu, and Sweet Song was dealing with that extremely brave mare (I think she's new), so I had the perfect getaway moment! I sprinted (believe it) behind a not so happy Rarity's locker.
"Excuse me but, DO YOU MIND ?!" Rarity's English accent yelled.
"Oh! I'm so sorry, Rarity!" I said, obviously aware that she'd yell her head off, "It's just that, I'm trying to getaway from the scene over there!" I continued, pointing my hoof at where the popular mares were.
"Oh. Them ? Those little… WHY DO THEY GET TO BE POPULAR?!" Rarity demanded. She then blushed at all of unwanted attention she was getting.
Let me just quickly explain how this high schools' social order works :
The highest in the social order (of course) are the popular mares, aka the pony dolls :
The second highest, the wanna bes, go below the pony dolls :
The middle class section, which is most of the school's population, the everyday, go below the wanna bes :

So I galloped over to my first period class and guess who I'm sitting next to?
I'm sitting next to that brave mare from earlier, and yes! I was paying attention to Sweet Song and that brave mare's conversation and I was right! Her name in fact is Twilight Sparkle!
She's really nice too!
Anyways, if you remember the list of how the social order works and who's where, Rarity is a wanna be, which explains why she was being so rude to me when I used her locker as a hiding place and why she got so mad when I pointed to the Pony Dolls.
I walked to my next class, which was 11th grade chemistry and took a seat next to Rainbow Dash, an old friend of mine. The chemistry teacher, Miss Sterling was explaining on how the colors in the concoction depend on what ingredients you use. First, Miss Sterling explained what ingredients you need to get a red color, second, was orange, which I found to be a sickly color, third was pink, one of my favorite colors, fourth was yellow, another one of my favorite colors, fifth was green, my most favorite color, sixth was blue, which I sometimes found to be soothing and relaxing, and last but not least purple, a pretty color if you ask me. Me and Rainbow Dash are always partners and like the rest of the partner groups in our class, were assigned a project to make a certain color, in which me and Dash were assigned lime green. We were both agreeable with the color since Rainbow Dash's favorite colors were any vibrant colors, and any shade of green was my favorite color. We immediately got started on our in class-one day project, and I have to admit, me and Rainbow Dash were the only group with the accurate color. Twilight isn't in my chemistry class, and nopony could get the color right, too light, too dark, too bright, or too dull. Overall, we aced our project. Best. Chemistry. EVER!!!!!!
Not Like the Rest (Season One)
I trotted happily off to lunch. I couldn't believe it! I got an A! I swished my purples curled bangs behind my ear with my ivory hoof, making my sapphire colored eyes completely visible. The school always had a nice interior. The checkered tiles always were divine, the red lockers always so regal looking, and everypony in the halls seemed to be having a good time.
In the café, there are tons of cliques. But I am always thought as a stuck up wanna be and nopony sees me for who I really am. But at lunch, things got interesting, very interesting. I was walking to my table when somepony dropped their cake on me. I was livid to see who was responsible.
"Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry!!!" Fluttershy exclaimed.
"Fluttershy!!!! You little…!!! " I screamed.
"Rarity are you okay?" Asked Sugarcoat, a friend of mine.
"Do I look like I'm okay?!" I growled. I was so mad I threw my spaghetti plate over my head but I accidentally threw it backwards making the spaghetti dish hit a mare name Twilight Sparkle's face instead of Fluttershy.
"Hey! What was that for?!" Twilight huffed. Oh great! Now look what I've done!!! I thought. The mare tried to throw her fruit dish and her cake at me but fortunately I blocked it. Unfortuneately, the fruit dish hit Fluttershy and cake hit the wall. A sea green mare walked up to the mess and cleaned it up. Thank Celestia!!! I thought.
"This is all your fault Rarity!" Twilight exclaimed.
"My fault?! Fluttershy's the one who dropped her cake on me!!!" I yelled back.
"It was an accident!!!" Fluttershy shouted.
Meanwhile, a cyan pegasus who was wearing stupid looking eyeliner looked at us confusedly, as if she couldn't even recognize us, though it could make sense between her and Twilight because Twilight's new.
"What are you guys arguing about?" She asked.
"Wouldn't you like to know." I replied bitterly.
"Uh yeah . That's why I asked."
"Well it's none of your business, Rainbow Dash."
"Yeah it is." Dash scoffed.
"No it isn't! You weren't even paying attention!" Fluttershy exclaimed.
"Well that's why I wanted to know what you were arguing about!" Rainbow shouted back.
"Shut up already!!!!! " Twilight screamed, "And since you must know, we had a food fight okay, … is it Rainbow Dash…?"
"Yep." Rainbow replied. She didn't start paying attention to how messy we were until now. Then she broke into a fit of laughter. "HA! You look ridiculous!!!" Dash laughed.
"Ahem" I huffed.
"I-I'm sorry! I just can't stop laughing!" Dash stifled her laughing when we started glaring at her.
"Oh. You're serious… Sorry!!!" She exclaimed, her amused expression turning into a look of concern.
"It's okay." I rolled my eyes.
Fifth period, as usual, was a blast! As an artist, I know exactly everything art. I opened my sketchbook and looked at my dress designs. I felt so immature because I want to be a dressmaker, a fashion designer. I mean, nopony knows this, duh!!! I bet they wouldn't even believe me. I wish a that I was popular like my sister, Dazzle Spark. I'm much smarter than Dazzle, don't go on my phone as much as Sunset Shimmer does, and I'm at least ten times nicer than Sweet Song!
More like negative ten!!!
Seriously Rainbow Dash!!! Ugh, I forgot you still have computer access at anytime. Hey, why do I usually hear the nyan cat theme song when I'm asleep again?
W-what?! Rarity, did you bump your horn? I would never play nyan cat on your computer!!! That' stupid!!!
Rainbow, this is the last time I'm going to tell you this, : you're terrible at lying.

Where was I? Oh, yes. I deserve to be popular more than Sweet Song does. Don't you even think about it Dash!!! I mean, I think the main reason why she is superior is because she's different because she has fairy wings or whatever. I'm normal and pretty! I mean, who even nominated Sweet Song to be popular? *sigh *
I'm too mad to write any more.

I trotted off to my last class, physical education. Honestly, that and my elective are probably the only two classes everypony knows I'll succeed in because as an old friend of mine said, my zodiac is an Aries, making me a natural athlete. But that isn't anything I need to worry about at the moment. Where was I? Oh yeah, I gotta get ta class!!!
"Do twenty?! What is this?!!! Boot camp?" Rarity's annoying English accent blabbed.
"No, this is P.E.!!!!! Keep that up and ya got yourself a detention!" Spitfire beamed. Oh yeah Rarity, you just * gotta** give me the stink eye cause you got told off. Real funny.* I thought while I was doing push-ups.
"What?!" I whisper-shouted, "It's not my fault you almost got in trouble!"
"Ugh! Whatever !!!" Rarity whispered back. I rolled my eyes at that pony, drama queen I continued thinking.
"Now everypony RUN!!!!" Spitfire boomed. Every pony started running, except Rarity. I caught her walking in the corner of my eye, but continued running so I wouldn't get in trouble. I prefer flying over running but in both I always felt that cool rush of air. When I run or fly, everything around me feels like it's in slow motion. Right now, compared to me, my vision would barely count her to be walking . That's how fast I am.
As usual, the locker room was bustling with activity. This was no surprise to me, since everypony always has the need to talk to their friend, but with me, that's a different story. Although I have an average in popularity hierarchy, I was not the social butterfly. So, once again, I was quietly fixing my eyeliner and pulling my leather vest into place. The bell had rang as everypony rushed out of the locker room, except Rarity. She has a gym locker near me.
"Are my contacts on?" I heard Rarity whisper.
"You wear contacts?!" I asked.
"R-Rainbow Dash?!" She stared at me, her pupils going to the size of pin holes, "What are doing you here? A-Are spying on me?!"
"No!! I was just finishing packing up!" I insisted.
"Fine, if I tell you, you better promise to tell absolutely nopony about this. Not even your friends." Rarity whispered.
"I don't have any friends" I said.
"Oh yeah, I forgot you're a loner." Rarity quipped. I raised one eyebrow at her. Rarity then started her stupid fake laughing
"Hehe… sorry. Anyways, yes in fact, I do wear contacts because I'm near-sided." Rarity said.
"Why don't you tell anypony?" I asked.
"It's because I think ponies will think of me as a loser, even though I wear the contacts so nopony makes fun of me for needing to wear glasses." Rarity replied sadly.
"Oh… I had no idea…" I looked at my watch, "Oh shit!!! I gotta go!!! Bye!!!" I yelled, running off and leaving Rarity behind.
I gave an exhausted yawn as I collapsed on my bed. I had dropped my bags and went over the stupidly dramatic details of the day. Morning, nothing goin' on there, first period, BORING!!!, second, third, and fourth period, same, lunch, that absolutely dramatic food fight I missed, write that down, period five, same old same old, period six, Rarity complaining about push ups, after school, Rarity confesses that she wears contacts, write that down too, and now I'm here. Slightly abnormal day. I sighed and went over too pick up my bag. I opened up my binder and started on my math homework.
Since I needed someplace to keep myself busy and I was already done with all of my boring homework, I decided to find somewhere that had an air conditioner and a strong wi-fi connection. A restaurant wasn't too necessary and I don't have any friends, I was stuck going to the library, which had AC and wi-fi that suited my needs, but my main problem with libraries is that there's so many books in there. Just the thought of made me want to shiver. I sighed.
"Let's see how this'll work out." I quietly opened the door. I saw a lot of ponies reading and going on computers. Typical , I thought. I walked over to an area where there was only one pony. I didn't know her cause like I said, I don't have any friends. I went on my phone, not knowing that the other pony was a pony I saw at lunch (but I forgot her name, think she's new to MHS). I pulled the headphones around my neck off and put them on my ears, so I don't disturb any pony while watching PonyTube. Suddenly I felt a soft tap on my shoulder. Huh? I thought, pulling off my headphones and pausing the music I was listening to.
"Um… over here!" Somepony whispered. I turned around to see a lavender unicorn with purple eyes and a purple and pink mane. I stared in confusion at the mare.
"Do I know you?" I asked in a whisper voice.
"Afraid not." The pony replied quietly, "Unless you're that pony I saw in the morning."
"You remember me?!"
"I remember things easily."
"Um… okay…" I whispered
"So why are you here?" The other mare asked.
"Was done with my homework and I needed an air conditioned place to keep myself busy in and this was my only option."
"Oh. I thought you came here because you like reading…"
"Actually, I ha-… never mind." I whispered, thinking that she might like books and I might hurt her feelings. The mare shyly stared at me. This was getting creepy.
"Um… were you reading…?" I asked quietly, looking down at the mare's pile of books, "Have you barely started?" The mare shook her head. She made sure she read that entire book and put with the rest.
"Never mind." I said, ignoring the issue. The mare levitated all sixteen of the books she had been reading and put them back on their desired shelves. The mare trotted back to where I was standing.
"You want to hang out somewhere? I'm new here." Twilight whispered, "Besides, I'm tired of whispering."
"Sure." I replied quietly.
Not Like the Rest (Season One)
I walked with my new friend down the street. The thought of everypony's eyes on us -mainly me- haunted me. But I knew why. Because I'm new. I remembered my entry I made in the morning. I also finally remembered that the pony's name is Rainbow Dash. So far, I think she's the most trustworthy pony I've met. I mean, Fluttershy's nice and all, but we met in first period, we hardly even talked during that time, and we did have that food fight at lunch. Rarity,… she accidentally-on-purposely threw her spaghetti at me…
I finally paid attention to how Rainbow Dash seemed to dress. She was wearing a void black colored eyeliner that circled around her eyes and painted a isosceles triangle as if to look like another eyelash on each eye, wore two golden earrings on one ear only, wore thin golden cuffs on her front hoofs, and wore a leather vest. For some reason, Rainbow stared at me like I was crazy, and I felt this weird feeling on my face, like as if I bumped into something but I couldn't see it. It was weird.
"Uh, Twi…" She said.
"What?" I replied.
"You bumped into the café door…"
"I meant to do that! I mean… oops…?" Then Rainbow started laughing but stifled it when she saw me raise one eyebrow.
"This is the second time Dash!" I exclaimed in fake exasperation.
"Sorry! …Again." Rainbow said, "You want ta go in?" She asked.
"Um… sure!" I said, my cheeks slightly flushed.
"Dude, tons of mares in group of two come in here! It's no biggie!" She said.
"If you say so…"
The café looked busier than hell. But I am in Manehatten after all, besides, Canterlot was like this, so no problem!
"How long have things been like this? Just asking. Canterlot's similar." I said.
"You're from Canterlot? No way!" Rainbow exclaimed, "Why'd you move?"
"It's a long story…"
"Oh never mind."
"I can still tell! It's not a secret or hard to explain!" I didn't want Rainbow to assume something like that!
"No, it's not that. I just hate it when a conversation turns into a lecture. It gets me bored, so don't bother." Rainbow explained.
"Oh. Sorry!" I said.
"You don't have to be sorry! Come on! Let's get in line!"
We ordered our drinks and walked out when Sweet Song's laser-vision looked at me. We looked at all of the shops and restaurants and enjoyed how my tour was. I'll tell you, we had a fun time looking at what Manehatten's like! Rainbow Dash is not only the nicest, but funniest and loyalest pony I ever met! I think I just fixed my broken train tracks of fitting in. (Meaning I think Dash solved my fitting in problems)
I finished up my sketch for a robot I had planned on building when Spike came over to my room. I pinned my sketch to my cork board and trotted over to Spike. Spike had this dreamy look on his face. Well, at least until I snapped him out of it.
"Spike! What's up?!" I asked, making Spike jump.
"Gah! Sorry Twi! It's just that there's this hot mare at your door!" Spike reminisced, transporting back into his daydream. I rolled my eyes at whatever he was daydreaming. Then I found out why Spike was acting strange. It was that mare from lunch.
She didn't look evil or mad, rather, she looked guiltily and as if she had been crying. I stared at the mare in front of me. She didn't look like the conceited mare she once was at lunch. The ivory unicorn looked distressed. Her two pupils shaking in agony, her once elegantly curled purple mane messy and frizzed up, and her cheeks covered in mascara stains because of her crying. (It seemed she only wore mascara and eye shadow seeing as she didn't have a light shade of rose applied to her cheeks, eyeliner was not visible on her face, and her lips weren't pink.) Her tears look genuine, not overdramatic. She only said two words :
"I'm sorry." Then she broke out in more sobbing, "I was an idiot to throw my spaghetti at you! I was an idiot to get in that argument and cause more chaos! I'm sorry for being a bitch!!!" She sobbed. I felt this feeling like I should make her feel better, so I said, "Come in!"
"O-okay…" The mare stammered. I walked into the kitchen and took out some sugary ingredients.
"You want any dessert?" I asked.
"I'm trying to avoid carbs." The mare answered.
"Do you have anorexia?" I asked.
"Why do I have to spill so much today?" The mare asked, "Kind of… You see, I still eat, I just only eat salads…" She cleared her throat, "How rude of me! We need a proper introduction! My name's Rarity. What's your name?" Rarity asked.
"My name's Twilight. Um… sorry to ask but, why are you being so nice me?" I uttered.
"I'm not that stereotypical mean girl I guess…, well I've been hungry for actual food… maybe I'll start eating regular food again." Rarity replied, walking into the kitchen.
"You can sleep over." I said.
"Really? Okay!" Rarity replied excitedly. The night was a blast! Rarity and I had so much fun! I feel like Rarity used her magic to levitate more train tracks of fitting in. (Meaning my friendships are getting stronger)

"Ah!" I fell off of my bed and stared at my alarm clock. Then I noticed it was only two in the morning.
"Angel!" I cried (not literally for once). My mischievous bunny is always trying to annoy me! I went back to sleep as my eyes saw an image of Angel smirking at me as I closed my eyes.
I looked at Twilight and tried to figure out why Sparkle was so happy today, because guess who I have a locker next to? That's right. Sparkle. I don't know why, but I want to call her Sparkle instead of Twilight. It's not weird. So that's when I was stupidly asked :
"Why are you in such a good mood, Sparkle?" I asked.
"Is that sarcasm? Or are you just asking?" Sparkle asked back.
"Just asking." I replied.
"Oh and before I answer your question, I don't like being called 'Sparkle'. It just sounds offensive to me." Twilight added.
"Sorry." I squeaked. That made me feel incredibly stupid.
"It's okay! And to answer your question, I just have made some new friends!" Twilight shouted.
"Already?! But this only your second day here!" I exclaimed.
"I know RIGHT?!!!!" She yelled, practically shattering my eardrums.
"…Okay, this just got awkward…" I said.
"Sorry. I get too excited sometimes." Twilight gave a sincere smile although it could've passed for a fake smile.
"It's okay. Not everypony can be in control of their emotions." I said, giving her a warm smile back.
