Accident
Load Full StoryNext ChapterIt had been a tiring day for the blue pegasus Rainbow Dash. She had worked herself to the bone at Wonderbolts practice and was exhausted. The train to Ponyville had just gotten here from Canterlot half an hour ago and Rainbow Dash was resting comfortably on a fluffy white cloud. Her rainbow colored main glowed in the sunlight as she rolled over on her side. This was the life. Rainbow Dash was the element of loyalty, had fought monsters, saved the world, had lots of friends, fulfilled her life long dream of becoming a Wonderbolt, and had her own fan club. Life could not get any better.
Suddenly, she jolted awake by the sound of screaming fillies. She turned around to see the cutie mark crusaders running out of the Everfree Forest with panicked look on their faces. "TIMBER WOLVES," shouted Apple Bloom, a small earth pony wearing a large pink bow. "THEY"RE COMING FOR US!"
"What happened," yelled Rainbow Dash, who quickly flew over to the fillies.
"We were in the Everfree Forest trying to get our exploring cutie marks," said a young orange Pegasus named Scootaloo. Rainbow could tell she was clearly out of breath. Sweat dripped of her face and formed a small puddle on the ground below. All three of them were breathing heavily and they looked pretty beat up. "They started following us and we tried to drive them off, but it didn't work." Rainbow Dash rushed into action.
"All of you, stay together and warn the rest of the townsfolk. Tell them to stay indoors. Get the rest of my friends to drive them off." Then she was off. She just flew away. Scootaloo looked up in awe to see her the pony she looked up to flying off to save the day, but before she could even get to the forest she saw the coming out. Five huge timber wolves running into Ponyville. Two stayed, almost guarding the forest, to make sure no pony got out. "Oh boy," she said out loud.
From where she was, Rainbow Dash could hear the screaming of ponies as the wolves tore through town. She considered turning around to help them, but decided it was better to try to take down the ones guarding the forest first. The pegasus flew at top speeds, approaching the wooden creatures faster than she expected. Finally she reached them.
The first wolf had collapsed after the first blow, which makes sense because he had gotten punched at ninety miles per hour straight in the face. The second growled in anger and made an attempt to grab the ponies rainbow tail, but it missed and ended up biting a tree and getting a mouthful of leaves, which angered the beast even more. Rainbow Dash zoomed around the creature flawlessly, giving it a hard kick here or there, which made it moan or whimper in pain. The wolf finally had enough of this game and grabbed the blue pegasus with it's paw, throwing her to the ground. She bit her lip in pain and watched the timber wolf run into town.
Ponyville was in a panic. Everypony was running here and their, screams filled with terror filled the air, blood stained the ground. Rainbow Dash flew after the wolf who had escaped before it could cause havoc in town, but she was too late. She couldn't even tell it apart from the others. She saw her friends trying to either fight the monsters, or calm the townsfolk down. Some of the houses or building were destroyed and there were some small fires. Rainbow stated to do what her friends were doing. When she heard a familiar cry.
"Rainbow Dash, help me!" She turned around to see a small, orange pegasus filly, with an orange main, trapped between the side of a house and a timber wolf. Before she could react, she was against thrust against the ground, unable to move. Pain shot through her body. Oh the terrible, horrible pain Rainbow Dash was in. She tried to scream, but her throat was being crushed. She couldn't breath. and even if she tried, it felt like she was breathing in the pain, and her inside would start burning as well as her outside. Suddenly, her body gave up and everything went black. That's all Rainbow Dash Could remember.
