//-------------------------------------------------------// Lyra's Little Human -by Dustchu- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Cherish //-------------------------------------------------------// Cherish "Are yew sure ya want ta be dropped off er lass?" Lyra's captain, a well built stallion from Shetland crossing asked the mint green pony as she teleported off of the airship and onto the ground with a flash of bright white that nearly caused the older stallon to go blind. "I'm sure," Lyra answered back, shifting her saddlebags and looking out ahead. "I wanted to come out here for a reason, Beau." She looked back to him, flashing a wink. "Thanks for the lift." "Aye aye, no problem, Ah'll be 'overing off 'summers till yew call meh." With that, he waved a hoof, the airship he piloted taking off and flying away from Lyra off into the skies above. Lyra waved back, watching as the iron clad airship flew away and out of sight. With a sigh, she turned about face, and looked out into the vast open fields of Terra. With a slight cough, she started forward, trotting across the grasslands with a giddy smile on her face. Lyra had been waiting for this day for a long time, and now... now she was here in the land of Terra. A vast country that was said to be home to a race known as Humans, a race of intelligent beings that built great and vast cities, were masters of technology and war, and could be either you greatest ally, or your worst enemy. She had few books on the subject, and those few were the only ones in all of Equestria and beyond. She scoured the land in search of more, but only came across three such books that had anything to do with humans. Any other texts, books, and scrolls on Humans were either lost to time, or had been destroyed during the discordian era. She wasn't entirely sure why there were so few books, but she put it away to be thought about later. It was saddening for her to know that so much knowledge was lost, but, hopefully this trip would prove to be bountiful in terms of more human relics and knowledge. The way across the grasslands made her wary, mostly because she was alone. She would have brought Bonny, but she was currently in Canterlot on business with the Cakes, trying to make some kind of candy cake or some such business. And now, here she was, alone in the wilds of Terra. Lyra was by no means a pushover, she could defend herself quite well actually. So if she did come across any sort of monster that would try and eat her, she was confident she could take it on, she was no Twilight Sparkle, but she was close behind her. Her eyes glanced across the area around her, she could clearly see a path leading further east, and it only spurred her to move onward. She had a desire to know more about humanity, what were they like? Did they have culture similar to Ponykind? She had so many questions and so few answers, her books said little to nothing about what they were like, they only said things about their cities, how great they were at being innovative and how powerful they were in terms of fighting capabilities. Hopefully, she could find out more...
