"Bye Applejack and Rarity. Good luck solving whatever the map presented us." Twilight called out as the train pulled out of the Ponyville station.
"See you later darling!" Rarity called out in reply.
Looking at the now distant train. Twilight let a small twinge of jealousty loose. Just when she could have finally gone on an adventure, the table map simply said no right in her face. It obviously have no idea how bored she was. Reading all those books that she had over and over again. Twilight had even read through those comic books (Spike kept insisting they were called "Graphic Novels").. Either way, the day is going to be a long day...
(1 hour later)
"Uhh... Everypony busy with something" Twilight though to herself irritatedly. "Rainbow Dash with practicing and napping, Pinkie Pie busy with cakes and Fluttershy's somewhere in the Everfree with her animals. Hmm... Maybe I should go see Moondancer and the others. Do some more catching up with my old friends."
(Another 2 dissapointing hours later)
"Just what are the odds that they are in the roller derby competition? Well, at least it was nice to see Moondancer out and happy with my old friends." She thought as she entered her castle library. Already, she had reshelved the entire library 3 times today. She spied the portal frame in the corner of the room. "Hey, what about visiting Sunset Shimmer? I bet she'll be glad to see me!" Pulling out several books, she found the book that Sunset Shimmer used to communicate and inserted it into the slot at the top of the frame. After a few seconds of the machine making cranking sounds and putting a little electrical light show, the portal became active. Gleefully, she jumped into the portal.
(A short interdimensional trip later)
Twilight stumbled out of the portal at Canterlot High's statue. "Sorry! I was really busy with things and..." Her voice cutout as she finally noticed her friends who were having a picnic and what appears to be herself but with thick glasses.
"Err, who are you?" Twilight Sparkle asked after about 30 seconds of them starring at each other.
"My name is Twilight Sparkle. And you are?" the other Twilight replied.
"I'm Twilight Sparkle." Twilight replied with a look of disbelief.
Both of them stretched out their hands, as if not believing the other is real. But before they made contact, Pinkie Pie who was previously quiet quickly pushed the pony Twilight away. "Don't touch each other! You may break..." she stopped midsentence as she saw the Twilight she just pushed fall back into the portal. "... the space-time continuum." she sheepishly finished.
The others including Sunset Shimmer could only look at Pinke with a mix of emotions that were mostly in the clueless and suprised. Seconds passed before the human Rainbow Dash said something that pretty much summed up what everyone was thinking.
"Dafaq?"

With a loud ommph, Twilight was thrown onto her back. Getting up to her hooves, she too was clueless as to what was going on. She sat there rather dazed, wondering why did the human Pinkie push her away. Rubbbing the spot where she had hit her head on the floor, she tried to recall what happened.
"What was that Pinkie Pie trying to warn me about. Breaking what?" She thinked. "Is it something similar to our Pinkie's Pinkie Sense? Or is it something about what she calls her '4th wall breaking' ability?"
Going to her bookshelves, she began pulling out books about time and space theories. "If it is what I think it is, Pinkie may be able to see the world in 4 dimensions. But how am I going to prove that?"
"Maybe you should go ask her to show you Twilight." A voice spoke out, startling her. Twilight looked around and found that Spike was the one who said that.
"Spike! What was that for?" Twilight asked. "Were you there the whole time?"
"Yeah, pretty much." The little dragon said while placing his comic book on the table. "You were mumbling to yourself the whole time ever since you just fell back out of the portal. You do remember back when you tried to study Pinkie Pie? Yeah, I don't look forward to having to shake you out of your 'Super Science' mode."
"Well, either way. There must be something for me to do to pass the time! And studying Pinkie proved to be a great waste of time, so why not? It is not as if I have any royal duties to do." Twilight deadpanned.
"Well, don''t go overboard Twilight." Spike nonchalantly said while he rummaged through his shelf looking for another one of his comic books."
"Relax Spike. I will not let it go out of hoof." Twilight said. Heading out of the library alongside with several rolls of paper, ink wells, quill and a rather large book containing all sorts of spells to collect data. Data that Twilight was hoping to get.
Meanwhile, in a bedside drawer in her bedroom, an empty book with a cutie mark as a logo hummed again as it has been for the past few days...

The journey to Sugarcube Corners was rather uneventful. Just everyone doing their usual daily things. Life in Ponyville has always been really laid back. Apart from moments when strange evil magical creatures showed up. Pushing opening the door, Twilight trotted over to the counter and pressed the bell. A few moments later and out came Pinkie with a tray of confectionary treats on her back.
"Hi Twilight! Would you want your usual order of hot chocolate and zap apple cupcakes?" Pinkie asked.
"Not now Pinkie, I actually want to test something out. You see, I want to do some research on your percular abilities. I'm going to focus on your other unusual ability with something that you named the '4th wall'."
"Well, that would explain the large rolls of parchment and the big book of Magical Anlysing spells in your saddlebags." Pinkie said. "Sure I would like to help!"
Wait... How does she know what I have inside it? I haven't even opened it ever since I left the castle. Twilight thought to herself. Looking at Pinkie, she smiled and replied: " Thanks Pinkie. Now, lets get started."
Both Twilight and Pinkie walked towards the field just out of town. “So what the test going to be?” Pinkie asked.
“I would like you to use your powers on me so I could observe what you see when you perform your 4th wall breaking abilities. “ Twilight said while getting out her rolls of paper and starting some of her observation spells.
That request however stunned Pinkie. She carefully said: “Are you sure you want me to do that on you, Twilight?”
The odd tone that Pinkie Pie voice now took was noticed by Twilight. Sensing something amiss, she asked: “Yes? Are you able to do it? If you can’t I won’t force you Pinkie.”
“No no.” Pinkie replied. “It is just that, are you really, really sure you want me to do it? I’m just worried that you are not prepared for the shock you may see.”
Now that repliy got Twilight worried. What is it that Pinkie worries that I will not be able to take. Needless, she decided to push on. “Yes, I’m sure I want to do it.”
“Okie dokie.” Pinkie replied. With a swift motion, she raised both of her forehooves into the air vertically and did a swift swipe towards the left.
Now this action may seem like nothing but from Twilight’s point of view, it was something. Her entire field of vision of the field and Pinkie literally slided away towards the left, being replaced by another view. It was odd. There was a white background behind her emitting light and in front of her was a tick panel of glass. But what was most peculiar was the world on the other side of the glass. It looked to be a dark room with the curtains drawn. Judging by the fact that there wasn’t any light shining through the curtain, she guess it to be night time. There was a bed that was rather untidy, with open books scatter over it. And then she noticed the plushie on the bed. A plushie that was coloured and shaped just like her, right down to the cutie mark.
The creature looking at her was the next big shocker. It looked like how the others from Sunset Shimmer’s world are. Except this time, the creature’s skin colour was lightly tan coloured. It had shorter hair, wore glasses and had smaller eyes that how the people from Sunset Shimmer’s world. And that creature was looking right at her with disbelief and tapping the glass.
It was about 10pm on my side of the world. I was working my new fanfiction for the EqD Writers’ Training Grounds. It was my first time writing something with comedy in it. The prompt was to either write about what Twilight did while AJ and Rarity were in Manehatten. The other one was something about Coco, but I dropped the idea as I had no idea what to write about her.
A little info about myself, I’m a brony. That is someone who likes the My little Pony, Friendship is magic. We are a large internet based fandom with some major real life conventions here and there. Based on the demographs released about our fandom, I’m considered as below the average age for a brony. But whatever, so long as you don’t act as an immature 9 year old and stuff, people are just going to assume that you are a 21 year old unless otherwise proven.
I mostly dabble in writing some stories when I have the time. So far, there is only 1 major story that I have written and it was with the help of others. I wanted to try to add another one to my counter so when I saw the prompt on our ‘pony news website’ I decided to go for it.
The plan was simple in my head, load a bunch of random jokes and references into the story while describing basically what Twilight did to spend her time. Obviously, the need for comedy ment that I had to write about Pinkie Pie. The second hardest character in my opinion to write on, but it was a necessary thing for about half of the ideas I had.
So there I was writing. The latest movie “Friendship Games” had came out and there was a scene of pony Twilight meeting human Twilight. Many people speculated it to be spoilers for the Season 5 finale. But honestly, that scene was begging me to do a space-time continuum related joke. Hmm… Maybe a reference to the ‘ Mr.Peabody and Sherman’ movie. It was then she appeared right on the bottom of my laptop screen. And by her, I meant everyone’s beloved book horse.
She looked around in surprise and shock, and then she made eye contact with me. I started tapping the glass, thinking it was some sort of computer glitch. But it did not flicker and it actually responded by trying to back away! Ok… so I got a sentient, possible real life Twilight Sparkle, The Princess of Friendship right now stuck in my computer screen. This situation really is starting to look like the countless cheesy ‘ponies in our world’ stories I seen on fimfiction.net. So should I get a hammer to break my screen? Well, the universe or my computer finally decided to stop messing around with me and she was quickly moved by some unknown force off-screen.
Ok… so it is good to know it was all in my head the whole time and my roommate had been smoking pot in my room. That may explain for the illusion of Twilight Sparkle as I might be high and imagining stuff. With a grunt, I got out of my chair and went out to give my friend a piece of my mind. Hope he likes that grounded pepper generously sprinkled on his nose while he sleeps.
The creature continued to tap the glass. Twilight backed away from the giant, menacing clawless finger and pressed herself against the background. Looking up, she could see what appears to be words. She tried to read some of the words. " "Don't touch each other! You may break…" she stopped mid sentence as she saw the Twilight she just pushed fall back into the portal.." Wait a minute, this reminds me of…
Before Twilight could finish her thoughts, she saw her vision sliding away again. This time to the right. As the weird view slid off her sights, it was replaced back with the original view back in Ponyville. A concerned Pinkie was standing there, looking worriedly at her. "Are you ok Twilight?" she asked.
Twilight, who was too stumped by everything she just witnessed found only managed one reply. " No. I don't know what is real anymore!"
