Tirek.
Tirek was back.
Why. Why and how was he back?
Agora watched the Elements of Harmony put him back in Tartarus just last year, had he broken out, or did somepony release him?
To Agora it didnt matter which.
The cloaked chimera saw the hulking figure from inside the Everfree Forest where he lived. He enjoyed living there, it was peaceful ad remined him of other places.
He watched as Tirek was destroying Ponyville, he saw many ponies flee from town. He wanted to leave the forest to help, but because of the promise he made to the princess sisters several millennia ago, he could not leave the forest willy-nilly.
Agora was experienced in most forms of magic, even forbidden kinds, but the type he preferred to use while he was in the forest was shadow magic, as it was his most convenient. He also covers himself in his shadow under his cloak to keep ponies from seeing his face and body, he even keeps several items within his shadows, a form of storage. He also uses his shadows to move very quickly.
He watched as Tirek laughed at three young fillies who were kicking him in his colossal legs, it was all they could do, as he already took thier magic, flight, and strength.
One filly, a white unicorn with a two toned mane, white and purple looked as though she was trying to jab her horn into his ankle.
The other two, one orange pegasus with a purple mane and tail, and a yellow earth pony with red mane and tail were biting Tirek's other ankle.
Agora assumed the fillies were trying to knock him off balance. then he watched in horror as Tirek scooped up the small unicorn and tossed her, almost like a baseball.
Agora watched as the unicorn scream and flailed as she sailed through the air. He could hear loud screams come from ponyville, but none louder than a larger white unicorn with a well-maintained curly, purple mane and tail.
Agora quickly calculated the filly's descending trajectory and used his shadows to move along the tree's shadows quickly, meeting the unicorn seconds before she hit the ground, he opened his cloak and caught her with his shadow.
He reached into his "Shadow Storage" as he called it, and quickly found her poofy tail and pulled her out. The unicorn was passed out from her flight. He looked to the town and saw the two other fillies had rejoined the rest of the town and most of the town was crying quite possibly because of Tirek's toss. Agora knew he could help out Ponyville, and Equestria, but he would need the filly's help.
He slung her over his cloaked shoulder and took her over to his cave, it was a cramped space for two, as it was cluttered with numerous books, some on inter dimensional travels and portals, some Daring Do, a few books from the Xanth series (He loves brain teasers), and a hulking book, as tall as Celestia and possibly twice as thick, it was the Grand Master book of spells, every spell in existence was recorded inside, and he enchanted it to update itself. And finally, his favorite, a book he enchanted that withholds information on everypony, past, present and future, includes their cutie marks, destinies, and the story of what they did, even if they haven't done them yet, the book was serendipitous.
Agora placed the unicorn on his bed as he walked over to his medicine shelf, it was covered with numerous jars, bottles, and flasks, each having some kind of potion, pain relief, or powder inside. He picked up a jar full of powder and used his claws to scoop out a small handful.
He resealed the lid with his magic and placed it back on the shelf.
He walked over to the passed out unicorn and blew the powder over her entire body, after the powder landed on her, she immediately started to stir.
She opened her eyes, Agora saw they were green, she turned frantic as she realized she wasnt in Ponyville, but in an unknown location, with an unknown creature, that was cloaked.
She immediate flipped out.
"W-where am i?!" she yelled. Agora flinched at her high pitched voice cracking.
"You're in a safe place now" he said with a raspy voice partly amused, partly bored.
"W-what happened?!" she asked, slightly calmer. Slightly.
"You were thrown by Tirek after you stabbed his ankle with your horn" Agora answered, he reached for a book on his book shelf, it was a Xanth novel, he set it aside for later by putting it on his chair.
"I have to get back to Ponyville!" the unicorn yelled.
"Tirek is too powerful, you'll only be thrown again" Agora said back. He looked back at her, she puffed out her cheeks as they were reddening with anger.
He gave out a long sigh. "Maybe I can help you defeat him, but i'll want a favor afterwards" These words brought a smile to her face then concern.
"W-what kind of favor...?" she asked meekly, slightly turning from him.
Agora thinks for a moment and says "i want to leave the forest for a full day, to do so, i need a physical form"
The request brought a curious expression to the unicorn's face. "How am I supposed to help you with that?"
He only replied with "i need you to find me something, or somepony i can overshadow, as in, possess for awhile"
Her eyes went wide in comprehension, then though for a moment. "You can overshadow me, until we beat Tirek, then I'll find you something else. Deal?"
She extended her hoof out.
Agora gripped it and they shook on it.
She smile then frowned. "By the way, my name is Sweetie Belle, whats your's?"
He smiled brightly, showing his sharp teeth "Agora, Agora Phobia.
