Sunlight and A Kid

'oof'

The ripels in a magical mirror seized a few seconds after a yellow coated mare flopped pathetically onto the hard crystal floor below.

It had been two years since the tragic events of the second return of Nightmare Moon and all was looking bright in the small town of Ponyville. Ponies bustled idly around the market place, most searching for the perfect gift for their special somepony, for Hearts and Hooves Day was only three days away.

In the back of it all, standing proudly at one million feet, a crystal palace shown brightly in the morning light, reflecting all sorts of colors off its surface. Inside were two ponies sitting in on of the   'oof'

Sunset landed face plant onto the crystal floor. "Welcome back, Sunset!" Said Twilight, as she picked up Sunset into a warm embrace. Sunset returned the embrace and planted a small kiss on her forehead before returning to a standing position. Although she was a little wobbly.

"I have a surprise..." Twilight said with a small smirk on her face and worry in her eyes," Just don't freak out"

Sunset gulped at that remark,  not noticing the worry in Twi's eyes.

"Ready?" Twi said, as Sunset nodded she called out,"NYX!!" As it echoed down the hallway, Sunset's ears went down from the loudness. As she was still woozy from the trip back to Equistria. "oops. Sorry." Twilight said plainly, an apologetic smile on her face. Sunset replied with an annoyed frown.

Wait. Sunset thought. Who's Nyx? Is she like a new friend or som--

A small 'oof' interrupted her thoughts. That sounded like... A filly? Sunset thought. "I'm coming!" yelled the... Filly? As the filly came closer, Sunset could tell she was an unicorn. Her mane was a dark purple and her coat was an even darker purple. She wore glasses, a light blue headband, and  a purple vest.

Must know Rarity. Sunset thought, giggling internally."Who's this?" Sunset said, couching down to her height. "this is Nyx" Twilight said "my... 'adopted' daughter." Twi said patting Nyx on the back, giving her the signal.

Before Sunset could question Twi's 'daughter', Nyx started taking off the outfit. She started with the headband, moving on to the glasses. Nyx kept her eyes closed and moved onto her vest. Nyx hesitated. She has never had to hide her secret for a while, now she was showing it to Twilight'sfriend

As Nyx removed the vest and opened her eyes, Sunsets mouth fell to the floor. It was like that for a few moments. Sunset was staring at alicorn filly with cat slit eyes. Sunset shook her head and rubbed her eyes to see if she was dreaming.Of course I'm not. Sunset thought shocked out of her mind.

"Uh... Twi..." Sunset tried to speak but couldn't. Twilight's worried smile turned into a concerned frown, her head fell slightly trying to look at Sunset. "You okay, Sunny?" Twi said, her voice mixed with concern and shock. Twi kissed Sunset on the lips. Sunset instantly shot up, with a small blush on her face. She shook her head and spoke,"When did you 'adopt' this alicorn and why didn't you send me a message when you did?" Twilight only giggled and Nyx had a giant smirk on her face from when Twilight kissed Sunset.

"Well... It's a long story." Twilight said " Come on lets get some tea and I'll tell you it. Sunset complied and followed them, keeping an eye on the little alicorn filly.
