Sunlight and A Kid

           Twilight yawned, getting up in the morning was a pain in the flank. She felt someone holding on to her, tight.She just smiled Wish I woke up this snuggly in the morn-- But what Twi saw when she turned around made her frown. Sunset was holding on to her really tight, but not just a normal tight, really tight.

She had tears slowly rolling down her cheeks as she slept. Her eyes were shut tight as if she was a filly around lightning. Her breathing was frantic and she was mumbling.

Is she having a nightmare? Twi thought, Sunset's mumbling got louder and Twi could finally understand a few words that she was mumbling.

"I'm here...." Sunset mumbled a few more words out, paused, then continued, "Twi----light?" She barely even whispered Twi's name, with a worried tone.

Twilight could only stare with confusion, shock, and worry. Is she having a nightmare about... me? Twi thought, worringly. She put a hoof to get Sunset awake. She pulled it back when she saw Sunset's release it's tensed up state and her heart beat slow extremely. While releasing Twilight from her hugging prison, another batch of tears rolled out of Sunset's eyes. Then, suddenly, she shot up from her sleep and gasped for air.

She felt her chest frantically and let out a sigh of relief, laying back on the bed and shutting her eyes in the process. She peaked through one eye to see Twilight, staring at her with extreme worry and shock. Sunset chickled, "I have to tell you my dream, don't I?" Twi nodded slowly, trying not to break eye contact. "Promise not to tell Nyx." It wasn't a question, it was a stern order, "I p-promise" Twilight stuttered, trying not to look distressed, but it wasn't working. Here we go.... Sunset sighed, hesitating a little. "Well... It started with me waking up.....

"... Then I guess... I died." Sunset hesitated, tears being held back in the corners of her eyes as she bit her lip. All Twi could do was hold he hooves to her mouth as she let listened, letting out a small gasp once in a while. Sunset looked away as she saw Twilight's turning from shocked to a concerned mother-like expression. Sunset was looking at the bed sheets the entire story time, fiddling around with the sheets.

Twi surprised Sunset when she suddenly hugged her as tightly as she was holding holding her (Do you understand sentence?). Sunset slowly melted in to the hug, letting the tears she had been holding in roll down her cheeks. She closed her eyes and let her thoughts control her.

What is wrong with you?! She thought, letting out a sigh, "Your supposed to be the strong one! Now your crying in the arms of your dear Bookworm! She let another batch of tears run down her face.

What are doing! Twi thought, let her own tears roll down her face,You should do much more than hug you mistress! She sighed in distress as the tension started to get to her head.

They shared the embrace for a moment. Sunset chuckled, making Twi do a confused face. "What am I doing..." Sunset said, looking into the fireplace, which looked as if it hasn't been lit in years. "It was just a dream and I'm freaking out about it.... I'm weak..." Twi gasped.

"Your not weak!" She said, pulling Sunset away trying to look her in the eyes. Though, Sunset would just look away from her in shame.

"Trust me... I am..." She half whispered.

Twilight's face broke into a giant grin, but still had worry in her eyes, "If you were weak..." She hesitated at the thought,"Then you wouldn't have been able to save my life at the changeling invasion."

Sunset thought about it,"I'm selfish then..." She said in a mumbling tone, her voice getting a little grumpy.

"You wouldn't have give in me my alicorn powers back after, you took them out of Chrysalis?

"Then.... I'm a...." Sunset thought about another insult about herself, but couldn't think of such. "Then your nothing bad, you are one thing...." Sunset's ears went down just a little." Your a hero." Sunset's ears perked up, hero? The word echoed in her head as she gave Twilight a confused look. Twi just giggled,"You saved a princess of Equistria! You saved all of us, according to Celestia!" She was so enthusiastic, it made Sunset flushed and give a slight smile. Then hugged Twi again,"Thank you..." Twi just smiled, "Your Welc--" She was cut off by a young filly yelling down the hallway, "Come on, guys! Your breakfast is getting cold!" They shared a laugh for a moment "We'll be right there!" Yelled Twi, making Sunset's ear twitch. Sunset snickered snickered and did a playful punch to the arm.

"Alright..." Twi started, pausing to listen for anymore shout outs,"We should probably get ready for the day." She  finished with her getting and brushing her tail against Sunset's muzzle. Sunset blushed at the sent of lavender on her muzzle. She shook her head snapping out of her trance,"Oh, Yeah! That's probably a good idea..." She said getting out of their bed, walking to the bathroom with Twilight.

Sunset had a happy smile on her face, but on the inside there was a sick sensation of her and Twi weren't alone...
