Author's Note
Ahhh, my first MLP fiction. X3 So, this is the first chapter of a series I'm working on for Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie. The whole series is mostly going to be snippits of their life together (How their relationship started, how it's progressing, etc.) that are not necessarily in order. So, without further adeu; the first installment of According to Plan!
According to Plan
“So, this really what you guys want?” Twilight asked as she flipped through the spell book, small smile on her face. Lyra grinned, albeit a little shyly, as she bumped her shoulder against BonBon's.
“Absolutely. We've been together for six years, and it'd be pretty awesome to have a little one around.” BonBon grinned and rubbed her cheek against her wife of two years.
“It'd be even awesome-er to be able to have kids that are part of each of us, instead of needing a random Stallion from one of those banks in Manehatten.” The candy-colored pony threw in. Twilight nodded in understanding as she turned another page.
“I absolutely understand. Oh! Here we go!” The purple pony read to herself for a moment before nodding.
“Alright girls, this is going to take a few hours to prepare. This says it'll form a cream that you'll rub onto the pony hoping to become pregnant and then you'll- Oh.” Twilight blushed brightly before slamming the book closed with her magic and turning to the opposite bookshelf, “You'll just do... What you normally do, I guess, when having... Ehm. Relations.” Lyra grinned as she nodded, while BonBon tried to stifle her laughter.
“We'll just leave you to this then. Thanks again, Twilight!” BonBon called as the couple turned and made their way out of the castle. Twilight nodded, trying to clear the blush from her face. Did the spell book have to be so explicit?

“Fluttershy, are you alright? You're limping kinda bad.” Pinkie met her marefriend at the end of the walkway, watching in concern as the yellow Pegasus shifted her weight away from her rear-left leg. Said Pegasus smiled and nodded, trying not to wince, lest she worry Pinkie even more.
“I'm alright. I was trying to work a nasty crick out of Mr. Bear's back and I think I might have put one in my own.” She laughed softly as Pinkie smiled gently.
“Is there any way I can help? Do you need an ice pack? Some water? A massage? Is there a medicine you need? I'll do whatever I can to help!” Pinkie rambled while turning to follow Fluttershy the rest of the way into her small cottage. The yellow mare laid gently on her couch, wincing just slightly, before answering.
“Twilight has a wonderful cream that works on pulled muscles. Would you mind running over to the castle and seeing if she has any there?” Pinkie nodded furiously as she started bouncing away.
“Abso-tively Posi-lutely can do~! I'll be back in a jiffy! Don't move from that spot~!” Pinkie bounded out the door as Fluttershy giggled and got comfy on the couch. One little nap before Pinkie got home wouldn't hurt.

“There!” Twilight smiled at the jar of shiny blue cream as she used her magic to move it to a shelf lined with other bottles and jars of creams, gels, and liquids, “I'm getting really good at potion brewing, if I do say so myself.” She grinned before looking over at the clock.
“Oh no! I'm supposed to make an appearance at the school in twenty minutes!” Twilight quickly grabbed her satchel before flying out of the castle quickly. Twilight didn't notice that in her haste, she created a breeze that swept along the potions shelf and knocked a few of the loose labels to the ground. Labels like “Cough Syrup”, “Scale Scrub”, “Hair Growth Drops”, “Muscle Relaxant” and “ORDER; DO NOT TOUCH”.

“Twiiiiiiiiiliiiiiiight~!” Pinkie shouted into the echoing halls as she bounded into the Castle. “Twiiiiiiliiiight are you heeeeeere?” Spike frowned as he stuck his head out of a doorway.
“No. And she left a huge mess that I have to clean up.” Pinkie peeked over the dragon's head into the room. Her eyes widened at the mess of bottles, splatters of random liquid, and a few charred areas on the wall. “She was making potions before she ran out of here like a tornado.”
“Was something wrong?” Pinkie inquired as she stared at a pink spot on the wall that began slowly oozing towards the floor. Spike shrugged before moving towards the table and picking up what used to be a white rag.
“She didn't mention any trouble, so I guess everything's fine. Maybe she just got a big craving for nachos.” Spike mused as he scrubbed at a stubborn sticky spot.
Pinkie nodded, in complete understanding. There were times when the urge to eat sweets got so strong that she just had to drop everything and run and get some! Spike sighed deeply before dropping the rag, and turning to face Pinkie with a smile.
“So what's up, Pinkie?” The party pony smiled brightly before throwing an arm around Spike.
“Well! I hope you can help me out with something, Spikey, since Twilight is gone, and I was really hoping she was here because Fluttershy was being a Chiropractor today and she ended up pulling a muscle! So she limped all the way home and fell on the couch in despair and I, being the good marefriend that I am, vowed to do anything and everything to make her feel better! So she said that Twilight had an awesome cream to rub on pulled muscles and she asked me to get it so I said 'of course', of course! And so I-” Spike held up a clawed hand with a strained smile on his face.
“Cream for a pulled muscle, right? I think I can get that.” He grabbed a rolling ladder and started across the hall, Pinkie in tow. “Twilight keeps all the stuff she makes on the shelves in here.” The dragon climbed up the ladder before giving himself a shove off and sliding to the opposite end of the shelves.
“Oh man.” Spike frowned. Pinkie bounced up beside the ladder and tilted her head.
“What's wrong?” The purple dragon frowned at the shelf of potions as he held up a handful of paper slips.
“These are the labels from these jars here. One of them is the muscle rub, but I don't know which one...” Pinkie frowned as Spike tapped his nails on the shelf in thought. “Obviously this one can't be it, because I use the Scale Scrub.” He stuck the label back on the correct jar and picked up a small bottle with a dropper inside, “And this one has to be the Hair Growth Drops. Because there's a little dropper inside it.” Pinkie nodded as Spike stuck the label back on the bottle before putting it back in the row.
Spike smiled to himself. He could be just as smart as Twilight, no doubt! He tilted his head slightly to the left as he stared at the three remaining containers.
“The cough syrup is definitely this one, because it definitely looks syrup-y enough.” He commented as he stuck the label back on the brown bottle and grabbed the two jars of cream, “It's one of these two jars here, Pinkie.” Spike slid down the ladder and held the jars in front of the pink pony. Pinkie pursed her lips and rubbed her chin in thought as she stared at both jars.
The pale pink seemed fine enough, but the sparkling blue rub just looked... Better. And, obviously, if you're already sore, you're going to want something to smile about.
“Fluttershy said that the muscle rub was “wonderful” which, in Fluttershy-Language, is just like saying it's “super-duper-awesomely-amazing”. So it has to be this shiny one here, because this is definitely super-duper-awesomely-amazing!” Pinkie reasoned as she took the jar from Spike. The purple dragon nodded at the solid logic and made to climb back up the ladder.
“I better get back to cleaning up that mess before Twilight gets back. Give Fluttershy my best!” Pinkie called out an affirmative as she trotted out of the castle, jar of shiny, blue cream balanced on her flank.

Fluttershy was pulled from her sleep with the feeling of soft hooves rubbing over her left thigh and across her hips. She moaned softly as she relaxed further into the couch. Above her, Pinkie giggled and rubbed a little more of the cream on her marefriend's hips.
“This cream smells good, Fluttershy. Does it feel alright? Is it helping any?” Fluttershy hummed and turned her head to sleepily open her eyes and gaze at Pinkie.
“It feels nice. Thank you for going to get it, Pinkie.” She smiled softly as Pinkie nuzzled her cheek. Pinkie finished rubbing the area and twisted the lid on tight before standing from the floor.
“I'm going to wash my hooves and start on dinner, alright?” Fluttershy nodded and nuzzled against the pillow beneath her.
“I'll come help as soon as the cream kicks in. Oh! There goes the tingling.” Pinkie tilted her head.
“Is that good?” At Fluttershy's nod, she smiled. “You just relax. I'll make the best dinner ever!” She grinned and bounced off towards the kitchen as Fluttershy smiled at her back.
'How did I get so lucky?' Fluttershy mused as she closed her eyes and enjoyed the tingling spreading through her hips and thigh. As Fluttershy was dozing off, she started to feel a warming sensation spread through her leg and hips. She frowned slightly and shifted her leg around. That didn't normally happen...
The Pegasus sat up and looked down at her leg. There was a faint blue coloring left on her leg and she frowned. 'Did Twilight change her formula..?'
“Pinkie Dear..?”
“Mmmmyes~?” She heard from the kitchen. Fluttershy shivered a bit as the heat began to spread further, moving up her spine and lower, into her more intimate areas. The Pegasus shook her head, trying to clear away the fuzzy feeling starting to cloud her head.
“Pinkie, where's the cream you rubbed on me?” There was a thump of something being set down in the kitchen and some muffled movement before Pinkie popped her head in the doorway holding the jar.
“Right here. Was it not enough? Are you still hurting?” Worry showed in Pinkie's eyes as she furrowed her brow and made her way closer. Fluttershy shook her head before breathing in deeply. 'What is that delicious smell..?' Fluttershy fluttered her eyelashes as she tried to breathe in more of the fruity smell. Raspberry? Strawberry? What was that delicious smell??
“I uh... I was just uh...” Fluttershy shook her head, trying to clear away the clouds of arousal that were starting to build. This felt like- Oh no. Was it that season already..?
“Fluttershy?” Pinkie set the jar down and leaned over her marefriend, “Flutts, are you alright..?” She placed one hoof on her own forehead and the other on the Pegasus' forehead, “Fluttershy, you're burning up! Are you feeling alright??”
Fluttershy moaned and nuzzled her cheek up against Pinkie's hoof before fluttering her eyes open. Her pupils were blown wide, her eyes slightly glazed, as she started up at the pink pony. Pinkie's eyes widened as she finally caught a whiff of the berry fragrance.
“You're in heat! Oh man. Oh, but you're not supposed to start for another week! What-” Pinkie broke her sentence off as Fluttershy leaned up and licked at her hoof. Pinkie squeaked as the berry smell began to effect her as well. Her head began to cloud up, arousal quickly taking place of rational thought. Pinkie watched Fluttershy, her mane falling over her darkened eyes slightly as she licked and nuzzled Pinkie's hoof.
Fluttershy lifted her head slightly and looked up to Pinkie Pie's darkening eyes with a small smile that was anything but shy. Pinkie grinned and leaned into the Pegasus, sealing their lips together. Fluttershy moaned into the kiss as she wrapped her forelegs around the earth pony's neck and pulled her down over her on the couch. Pinkie groaned as she moved her hooves down to hold the squirming pony's hips and ground them together.
Fluttershy broke from the kiss with a loud mewl as she tipped her head back. The feeling of her sensitive mound being driven against Pinkie's was just too good. She wrapped her forelegs tighter around Pinkie's neck and spread her back legs further apart, giving up any resistance she had left and just enjoying the sensations her wonderful marefriend was bringing to her body.
Pinkie Pie groaned as she nibbled along Fluttershy's neck; the sweet berry smell was getting stronger, threatening to overcome Fluttershy's natural foal-powder scent. Fluttershy panted as Pinkie's nibbling moved further down. When Pinkie bit down on a particularly sensitive area, the Pegasus arched sharply and gasped as her wings tried to unfurl underneath her. Pinkie tugged Fluttershy sideways, and with a small amount of maneuvering, put herself underneath the other mare.
Fluttershy groaned as the movement ground their marehood together, bringing forth a small trickle of liquid. Her wings unfurled on their own as she leaned down to connect her lips to Pinkie Pie's. The pink mare leaned further into the kiss as she slipped her hooves behind Fluttershy and began rubbing at the are where her wings connected to her body. The result was instantaneous, as Fluttershy immediately released her marefriend's lips in favor of arching her back and crying out in pure ecstasy.
“Pinkie! Oh, Celestia yes, Pinkie!!” The earth pony grinned devilishly before leaning moving to lap at the joint, making sure to curl her tongue up and over the whole area as she ran her hoof through the opposite wing's feathers. The yellow Pegasus was lost to pleasure, thrusting her hips against the mare beneath her like- well, like a pony in heat. Pinkie closed her eyes and breathed quickly through her nose, as she moved her mouth to the other wing. Her lust-darkened eyes glanced up at Fluttershy; her sweat damp face, her tightly clenched eyes, her open and panting mouth. Pinkie swallowed and thrust up against the writhing mare before tugging Fluttershy's face down by her mane to meet her lips, her quest for the other wing forgotten momentarily.
Fluttershy responded to the kiss eagerly as her wings trembled. She was so close, she just knew it. The slick between the two mares was increasing, the thrusting getting more frenzied. Fluttershy pulled away from the kiss to pant against Pinkie Pie's ear, not even trying to contain the whimpers and mewls that drove Pinkie nuts.
The party pony groaned, trying to stave off her release. Together. It had to be together. With a moan, she pulled out her ace in the hole. Pinkie shifted Fluttershy's forehoof easily before placing her lips against the meeting point of the Pegasus' right wing and sucked. Fluttershy came undone with a loud, gasping mewl and a harsh grind of her hips, the rush of fluid flowing from her lower-lips like
“Pinkie!” The pink pony groaned, finally letting herself release at the sweet, broken cry of her name and the feeling of Fluttershy's warm release against her coat.
Fluttershy collapsed against Pinkie's chest panting, the puffs of her breath blowing against Pinkie Pie's neck. Pinkie smiled and softly ran her hoof over Fluttershy's hair as her eyes drifted shut. Who cares when her heat week was supposed to start when they had sex like that.

Twilight laughed as she waked into the castle, BonBon and Lyra in tow.
“I can't believe she said that!” BonBon and Lyra laughed, as the former nodded.
“I swear! I wasn't even sure you could do that with bees, but she did!” Twilight laughed again as she started towards another room.
“You girls make yourselves comfortable. I'll go get the cream and be right back!” BonBon and Lyra took a seat on the purple couch and smiled brightly at one another. The prospect of starting a family was just so exciting!
Twilight hummed softly to herself as she lifted herself up to the shelf 'wings really do come in handy!' and looked over her creations. When she didn't see the shiny blue cream, she frowned. And weren't these two bottles previously over here...? Spike must have 'organized' while she was gone. She sighed as she set herself back on the ground and stuck her head out of the small room.
“Spike? Spike are you home?” A few moments passed before the sound of claws on the marble floors could be heard. “Spike, I'm in the potions room!”
“I'm on my way!” Twilight smiled and shook her head before turning back into the room. This castle was really too big for just her and Spike. It took entirely too long to find one another, and there was always an echo, even if you were quiet. She looked at the doorway just in time to see Spike go sliding past with a shout. She put a forehoof to her forehead and sighed. 'And the floors are way too slick to run.'
Spike stuck his head in the door a moment later and grinned sheepishly before walking the whole way in. Twilight smiled at him, amused, before moving to scan another shelf for the blue jar.
“Yes, Twilight?” He asked innocently as he moved to stand beside her.
“Spike, did you tidy up in here?” He beamed up at the purple Alicorn before nodding.
“Yep! Everything's all in order and polished up! It took a while, especially when Pinkie came in, but I got it all done!” Twilight nodded, only halfway paying attention as she scanned the shelves.
“Ah, yeah. Did you happen to see a jar of cream while you were organizing?” Spike raised a brow questioningly.
“Twilight, this is a potions room. I saw a lot of creams. Can you be more specific..?” Twilight turned to face the dragon and held her hooves a short distance apart.
“The jar is about this size and it's a shiny blue color. I thought I put it on that shelf up there, but I can't find it.” Spike thought for a moment before snapping his claws and nodding decisively.
“The Muscle Rub! Yeah, it was up there until Pinkie came by.” Twilight's eyes widened, but Spike took no notice, “She said Fluttershy pulled a muscle and needed some of the cream you make.” Twilight grabbed Spikes arms in her hooves and shook him slightly.
“So you gave her the blue cream?!” Spike's eyes widened as he stared at Twilight's panicked face.
“W-well, some of the labels had fallen off, so Pinkie and I reasoned that that blue cream was the muscle relaxing cream.” Twilight released him as she dragged her hooves down her face.
“How?! What was the logic behind that reasoning?!” She stared wide-eyed at the equally wide-eyed dragon.
“Because it looked... Awesome?” Twilight's jaw fell open in horror as she turned and dashed for the door.
As she was running for the front exit, she passed the sitting room she left BonBon and Lyra skidded to a stop before shoving her head in and quickly calling an “I'll bring the cream by your house tomorrow, Lyra! An emergency has just come up!!”
Twilight dashed out of the castle, immediately pumping her wings to give her a boost of speed. She ran her eyes over the town as she passed, hoping beyond hope she caught Pinkie before she got home. But really, who knows how long it had been since the party pony had been to the castle. Twilight tried to control her panicked breathing as she set an immediate course for Fluttershy's cottage.
'I hope I'm not too late!!'

“Pinkie! Aha~!” Fluttershy mewled as she came again, for the fourth time. The heated feeling under her skin was finally beginning to clear out, and the arousal was clearing from her head. Pinkie collapsed on top of her marefriend, finally feeling the thick cotton-candy like cloud in her head clear.
The two panted against each others' neck as they laid in the floor, having no more energy to move anywhere. Pinkie giggled as she brushed her limp, sweat-wet hair out of her face and moved her head to look at Fluttershy's face.
“What brought that on, Flutters? Not that I didn't love it. Like, completely the opposite. But you were... wild. And demanding. And-” Fluttershy covered Pinkie's mouth with a hoof as her face rapidly changed color.
“We don't speak of what happens during heat week.” Pinkie raised a brow before moving her marefriend's hoof.
“But it's not heat week. That's not scheduled for another week or so. And, if it was heat week, I don't think either one of us would be able to talk right now.” Fluttershy frowned in confusion as she stared at her mare.
“But-”
“FLUTTERSHY?! PINKIE PIE?! ARE YOU ALRIGHT?!” Twilight's voice suddenly cut in, and a moment later Twilight herself was busting in through the tiny cottage door.
Fluttershy immediately yanked the small area rug over her body, even though there was nothing to cover, while Pinkie simply tilted her head and rolled onto her stomach; her legs still weren't feeling stable enough to stand on yet.
Twilight took in the sight with horrified eyes. She staggered forward before plopping onto her butt and putting her head in her forehooves.
“Oh, Celestia no. What have I done??” Fluttershy and Pinkie stared at their friend in concerned confusion. Twilight lifted her head from her hooves and saw the blue cream on the side table across the room and laughed sadly. “Well, I know it works, at least.” Fluttershy followed her gaze to the jar and then looked back at the purple Alicorn.
“Twilight, what is that? What works?” Twilight sighed deeply before looking to the two ponies and smiled bitterly.
“That, Fluttershy, is a cream that I made as an order for someone else. For a couple who wanted to have a filly. The cream is an old recipe, supposedly used for mares with trouble conceiving or for stallions with problems in that area.” She paused and swallowed thickly before continuing on, “About a century ago, they realized that when used with two mares, it can cause conception as well. So same sex couples could have fillies of their own, without needing a stallion to help.” Fluttershy's eyes widened as she suddenly understood where this was going.
“The cream wasn't finished yet, it was still too potent. I was going to finish separating it into smaller jars, so the formula wasn't just one super strong thing, but smaller mostly strong potions. But, when I looked for the cream, Spike said that Pinkie had gotten it mixed up for the muscle relaxer.” Pinkie gnawed at her bottom lip as she thought back to earlier in the day with Spike and the mismatched labels.
Fluttershy and Pinkie laid there, each in their own thoughts as Twilight glanced at the jar again. The Alicorn smiled, almost sheepishly before slowly putting her hands up.
“Congratulations..?” When the other mares simply stared with no response, Twilight let her hands and smile drop before standing and hoofing at the ground.
“You guys need some time to, uh... Process... So, I'm going to head back to the castle. And... I'm really sorry about this, girls. I really am. I had no idea the labels weren't sealed and...” She shook her head before bringing the cream closer with her magic and turning out the door. “I'll be at the castle... And I really, really hope to see you girls at the waffle breakfast in the morning...” She added sheepishly before closing the door and heading home.
Pinkie let her head drop to the floor with a thump as Fluttershy simply stared at the wall. A baby? A tiny, living, breathing, pony? Pinkie frowned as she thumped her head against the floor.
How was she supposed to take care of a baby? She could barely take care of the Cake twins for one evening! And now she was going to have a tiny, squirmy, loud, cute, adorable, messy, stinky, precious- Pinkie shook her head and looked over to her still silent marefriend. They were going to have a tiny, squirmy, cute, stinky and messy baby. Pinkie rolled closer and pulled the yellow Pegasus into her arms before nuzzling at her cheek.
“How ya feeling, Fluttershy..?” The yellow mare turned and buried her face against Pinkie's shoulder before letting out a shuddering breath.
“Like I just swallowed a swarm of bees...” Fluttershy swallowed thickly, trying to calm herself down, “I mean... We haven't even talked about what should happen in the future... We just started living together two months ago! A-and now... Now we're having a baby? I didn't even think that was possible, Pinkie.” The yellow mare's breathing began to pick up as she felt tears stinging her eyes. “W-what are we going to do? H-how are we going to-? Who's going to-?”
Pinkie Pie took her marefriend's face between her front hooves and squished her cheeks, causing her lips to poof outwards in a fish face. Pinkie smiled softly as she put her nose against Fluttershy's.
“Flutters, we're not alone. I'm sure the girls will help out any ways they can. And Mr. and Mrs. Cake!! They already have babies, so I'm sure they'll know what to do. And it can't be much different from caring for a baby animal, right?” Pinkie moved Fluttershy's head up and down before continuing on, “Fluttershy, this is a gift! We didn't think we'd have to deal with kids, but now we can! And, and they'll be both of us! The best parts of me, the best parts of you! I bet they'll love parties and animals and bouncing and- and!” Pinkie cut off with a big smile. 'So maybe I did really want a kid..?'
Fluttershy broke from Pinkie's hooves and brought up one of her own to wipe at her teary eyes before smiling shyly.
“I... I always thought it might be fun to have a daughter to take on picnics... and have tea parties with...” Pinkie grinned and scooped Fluttershy into a huge hug.
“Yes! Or, or a son! And we can teach him all the fun things in life, like how to ride a scooter!” Fluttershy smiled and nodded.
“Absolutely.” The girls stared into one another's eyes for another moment before Fluttershy spoke.
“So... You're... Really okay with this..? Us having a little.. Us?” She smiled shyly up at Pinkie. The pink mare grinned and leaned in for a short, soft kiss before pulling back and resting their foreheads together.
“Absolutely. So, babies came earlier than we thought. Sometimes stuff doesn't go according to plan, but that doesn't mean it's bad. Sometimes, it's really, really good.” Fluttershy nodded as Pinkie wiped away a stray tear.
“Pinkie?”
“Yeah?”
“We're gonna be mommies.” The two mares broke into giggles, still lying in the floor.

The tension in the banquet hall the next morning was like a cloud. Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie weren't there and Twilight hadn't been down stairs at all that morning. Rarity cleared her throat as she sipped her water. Applejack pushed the waffle on her plate back and forth, clearly feeling awkward, as Rainbow Dash practiced balancing her chair on its two back legs.
“Ahem. Spike..? Have you seen Twilight this morning?” Spike shook his head with a sad frown.
“I haven't seen her since she came home yesterday evening and locked herself in the potions room. She looked really upset...” Applejack frowned worriedly.
“Why?” Spike chewed nervously at his lower lip before looking up at the mares in front of him.
“There... was a little mix up with the potions.” Rarity tilted her head to the side as Applejack motioned for him to go on. Spike took a deep breath, “While Twilight was at the school yesterday, Pinkie Pie came by needing a certain cream, and I gave her what I thought was a muscle relaxer, but it turns out it wasn't.” Rainbow Dash sat forward, brow drawn down as she squinted in thought.
“So what was it??” The sound of a door closing and hooves on the marble floor made everyone stop. As the foot steps moved closer, another door was suddenly slammed open from above and hoofsteps could be heard running down and through the castle.
The three mares paused, scarcely breathing as they tried to make out the words. Rainbow Dash carefully extracted herself from the table and hovered near the partially open door to hear as Rarity, Applejack, and Spike carefully and quietly walked over to hear too. Through the door, they heard Twilight speaking rapidly.
“I was up almost all night, and I looked through more than half the library to find it, because that cream is a really old and still experimental potion, but I found it.” Pages of a book were heard turning.
“Found what..?” Came Pinkie's confused voice.
“A way to reverse it. If done within forty-eight hours, everything can be fixed. It'll be like nothing even happened.” There was a pause, “I honestly didn't think there was a way, but then I found this, and I... I don't know if it's... Something you'd want to try, but I just... Because of my labeling error, you two are being thrust into this and I just... I want to make it right. So, if you would like to, I-”
“We wouldn't.” Fluttershy cut in, “Yes, it's surprising, and we most definitely expecting this to happen. It definitely wasn't in the plans for the next long while but... Sometimes stuff doesn't go according to plan. And that's okay.” A couple small laughs were heard before Twilight released a breath.
“So... You're really okay with it? You're going to do it?” She sounded relieved as the book closed.
“Absolutely. I may have not planned on it right away, but I think it'll be exciting to be a mommy and have a little baby that's part me and part Pinkie.”
All four jaws in the banquet hall dropped simultaneously. Rainbow Dash flung the doors open wide, revealing the three ponies in the hall. Twilight's hair was frazzled and matted, though Pinkie and Fluttershy were practically glowing.
“You're PREGNANT?” Fluttershy blushed as the four sets of eyes stared while Pinkie beamed, practically radiating excitement.
“Yes! Isn't it so exciting?! We're gonna have a little Flutter-Pie!” Pinkie bounced up and down excitedly as Fluttershy smiled softly at the group. Rarity was the first to recover, as Rainbow Dash and Applejack tried to figure out a response and close their jaws. She squealed as she dove at the expecting couple and hugged them both tightly.
“That's so wonderful, girls!! Oh, this is perfect news! I was just thinking of starting a new Foal-Chic line of clothing for stylish young-ones! I simply must use your little one as a model! Oh, I have so many new ideas now~! This is all so marvelous!” She went on squealing about how wonderful it was, and how she absolutely had to design a beautiful wardrobe for the baby the second it was born. Rainbow Dash and Applejack finally broke out of their stunned trance and made their way over to the group to give hugs as well. Pinkie grinned at her best mare.
“And guess who gets to be the GodMare?” Rainbow Dash smiled brightly, with absolutely no tears in her eyes at all, before hugging the party pony tightly.
“I'm gonna teach it so much cool stuff. Like how to be awesome!” Pinkie laughed and turned to watch Fluttershy as everyone around them went on with ideas and plan-making. When the yellow mare saw her marefriend looking, she smiled and rubbed their cheeks together. Pinkie grinned as she listened to all the happiness and laughter around her.
Yeah, sometimes things didn't go as planned. But that didn't always mean it was bad.
