In-Laws of Discord
Ch.1 Meet the In-Laws
Previous ChapterAfter their honey moon was over, they went back home to their Castle of Chaos in the Everfree Forest. "Oh, it's so good to be home," Discord said, "Nothing, but you, me, and..." a familiar singing voice from inside the Castle interrupted him. As he went inside with Fluttershy in his arms, he found Pinkie Pie doing all that singing. "Pinkie?" he started.
"Discord, Fluttershy!" Pinkie replied excitedly as she ran up to them with her 4th wall breaking speed, "Your back!" she said while hugging the both of them, "How was the honey moon?"
"We had a wonderful time, Pinkie." Fluttershy answered.
"Pinkie," Discord started, "What are you doing here? How did you get in here in the first place?"
"Oh, I was just taking care of your love nest, for ya. After all, somepony had to," Pinkie answered.
"Oh, you like sorting the mail, and watering the plants." Discord replied.
"Yep, I even watched over Fluttershy's animals." Pinkie responded.
"That's very nice of you, Pinkie." Fluttershy replied.
"Your welcome, Fluttershy!" Pinkie responded.
"Oh, look at time," Discord started, "Well, you might as get going." he said while opening the door.
"Oh, but don't you wanna tell me about the trip?" Pinkie asked. "Oh, how 'bout a game of Neighstion All-Stars Battle Royale?" she recommended.
Discord then grunted. "Actually, Pinkie," Fluttershy started, "Wouldn't you rather hang out with the others?"
"Oh, that," Pinkie frowned, "Well... they're too busy sending time with their special someponies, and... I still don't have one. So I thought I hang with you two."
"Well, y'know were always happy to see you, Pinkie." Fluttershy started.
"But, Fluttershy and I are married now," Discord continued, "We need some time to be together." Pinkie looks up, and nods at him. "Just with each other." Pinkie kept staring at him with a smile on her face. "Alone."
"Say no more, say no more, I'll always be here to make sure nopony bothers you." Pinkie promised.
"Pinkie!" Discord started in a frustrated tone.
"Yes, Discord?" Pinkie replied.
"You're bothering me." Discord finished.
Pinkie then frowned, "Oh, okay. I have to foalsit the the Cake Twins in an hour anyway, so... i guess I'll see you later?" Pinkie then left the castle, leaving the married couple alone.
"Do you think you may have been a bit too harsh?" Fluttershy asked.
"She'll be fine," Discord answered, "Now, where were we? Oh, I think I remember." Just as Discord was leaning over Fluttershy to give her a kiss, Discord noticed that Pinkie came back. "PINKIE!" he shouted.
"I know, I know, alone," she replied, "I'm going, but what do want me to tell Derpy?" she asked.
"Derpy?" Discord and Fluttershy replied simultaneously.
There was then a grey Pegasus with a blonde mane, and crossed-eyes named Derpy Hooves. "Mail for you, Fluttershy." she said.
"Oh, thanks, Derpy." Fluttershy replied.
"No problem!" Derpy said as she flew off to make more deliveries.
Fluttershy opened the envelope, and read it. "'Dear, Fluttershy, we heard about your marriage, and we wanted to congratulate you with a party. We just cannot wait to see you and your handsome husband. Love...' Mom and Dad?!" she said excitedly.
"Wait, hold on," Discord responded, "I'm gonna meet your parents?" he asked.
"A party!" Pinkie responded, "Can I come? Can I, Can I, Can I...?" she continually begged.
"Were not going." Discord said.
"What?!" Fluttershy and Pinkie replied simultaneously.
"I mean, do your parents even know who you married?" Discord asked.
"Well, they'll be a little surprised." Fluttershy answered, "But there my parents, Discord, they love me. And don't worry, they're gonna love you, too." she said without a doubt.
"Yeah, right. There gonna be so happy when they find out you married a beast." Discord said sarcastically.
"Would you stop it? There not like that." Fluttershy insisted.
"Just look at me! They'll think of it like bestiality, we had enough of that in Sonic 06!" Discord argued.
"Oh, come on, Discord, they just want to give you their blessing." Fluttershy replied.
"Oh, wonderful. Now I need their blessing?" Discord asked.
"If you want to become part of this family, yes." Fluttershy answered.
"And who said I wanted to be part of this family?" Discord asked rhetorically.
"Uh, you did, when you married me." Fluttershy asked.
"Oh, there's a fine print for ya!" Discord replied.
"Oh, so that's it, you're not going?" Fluttershy asked.
"Trust me, it's a bad idea. We are not going, and that's final!" Discord said certainly.
Hours later, Fluttershy and Pinkie were all packed up. "Come on, Discord, we don't wanna hit traffic!" shouted Pinkie.
Discord then sighed with disbelief. "I can't believe we're actually going." he said to himself. "OK, Tree Hugger, you promise to watch the castle while we're gone?"
"Cross my heart, hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye." Tree Hugger answered.
"Good." Discord replied. Discord then used his magic to teleport to Cloudsdale, and give Pinkie the ability to walk on clouds. He had a worried look on his face.
"Everything is gonna be fine, Discord." Fluttershy said.
"How can be so sure?" Discord replied.
"Just trust me, Discord." Fluttershy said.
About an hour later, they arrived at Fluttershy's parents house. "It's not too late to change your mind." Discord responded.
"You got nothing to worry about, Discord." Fluttershy replied.
"Yeah, Discord," Pinkie responded, "You gotta fate in yourself!"
Fluttershy then knocked on the door, and the pony that answered was her mother, Lilac, and her father, Dale.
"Fluttershy!" they responded simultaneously.
"Mom, Dad," she replied with tears of joy, "It's been years! I missed you two!"
"We missed you, too." Lilac said while she and Dale hugged her.
"Awwwww," Pinkie responded, "That so sweet!"
"Oh yeah," Fluttershy said, "This is my friend, Pinkie Pie."
"Hi, Fluttershy's parents!" Pinkie responded.
"Nice to meet you, Pinkie." said Lilac.
"Yes, a pleasure." said Dale.
"Oh," Fluttershy responded, "And, this is my husband, Discord."
Fluttershy's parents looked up at Discord, and went to shock. Then it was all silent. "Well," Discord started nervously, "It's... easy to tell where Fluttershy gets gets her good looks from, heh heh." He then made a nervous smile.
"Awkward!" said Pinkie.
"Well..." Lilac started, "It's pleasure to meet you, Discord."
"Lilac," Dale said, "Can we talk in private, please?"
"Um, OK." Lilac replied. They both huddled, and whispered to each other.
"Lilac," Dale started, "Do you have any idea what that is?"
"Well, he's not exactly Prince Charming," Lilac started, "but Fluttershy does seems happy with him."
"But they're not even the same species." Dale argued.
"We shouldn't question it." Lilac demanded. They turned back around, and Lilac welcomed Discord in. "Why not you make yourselves at home." she said.
"With pleasure," Discord replied, "My, my, what a nice place you got here."
"Thanks." Lilac responded.
Hours passed, and every gathered up for dinner. Dale gave Discord a grim look the whole time. Discord was nervous about having dinner with Fluttershy's parents. "So," Discord started, "how 'bout them Baltamare Orioles, eh?" he let out a nervous chuckle.
"So Fluttershy," Lilac started, "tell us about where you live."
"Well," Fluttershy started, "Discord owns his own land. Don't you, honey?"
"Ah, yes," Discord started, "it's a very lovely Castle. It used to be the Castle of the Two Sisters, until it was given to me. And don't worry, even though it's in the Everfree Forest, it's highly protected, it's now called the Castle of Chaos after all."
"A Draconequus from a chaotic environment," Dale started, "oh, how original." he continued sarcastically.
"Well," Lilac replied, "I suppose that would be a fine place to raise the children." Both Discord and Dale became shocked after hearing what Lilac said, which caused Dale to spit out his wine, and Discord to choke on his food, but Discord saved himself by using his magic to take it out of throat.
Discord then laughed nervously. "It's a bit early to be talking about that, isn't it?"
"Indeed," Dale replied, "I just started eating."
"Dale!" Lilac scolded.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Discord asked.
"Dad," started Fluttershy, "It's great."
"Well for his type, yes." Dale replied.
"MY type!" Discord snapped.
"Uh..." Pinkie started, "I gotta go to go the bathroom." A ding came from the kitchen.
"Oh, the main coarse is ready," started Lilac, "I'll be right back."
"Never mind," Pinkie started, "I can hold it." When Lilac returned, she laid out plates of spaghetti and meatballs. Fluttershy is a vegetarian, so she didn't have meatballs on her's.
"Oh, Mama Mia." said Pinkie.
"Well let's not sit here with our stomachs rumbling," Lilac started, "Everypony dig in."
"Don't mind if I do!" Pinkie replied.
"So," Dale started, "We can expect any grandchildren from you to be..."
"Draconequus hybrids?" Discord finished, "Yes!"
"Not that there's anything wrong with that," Lilac started, "Right Dale?"
"Oh no, of course not," Dale answered, "Unless of course you EAT your own YOUNG!"
"Dad!" said Fluttershy.
"Now you listen here!" Discord said to Dale, "I might've been a monster in the past, but I would NEVER do something like that!"
"Discord, please?" Fluttershy begged.
"And besides, you've been out of most of your own daughter's life; you're no better!" Discord argued.
"You wouldn't understand," started Dale, "You're not her father!" Fluttershy let out an annoyed sigh. Out of anger, Discord used his magic to cause an explosion of the food. Seeing Discord and her father act like this made Fluttershy disappointed, and she ran up to her old room.
"OK," Pinkie started, "Now I'll go use the bathroom." Pinkie then left to stay out of the situation at hoof.
