A New Year and New Students
Twilight walked through the doors of the halls of the school as many thoughts cut through her mind. Thoughts such as if she would make good grades this year, if she would well enough to make honor roll, and most importantly, if her magic would improve. As she walked throught the halls she bumped into her friend, Rarity."OH watch the dress you rufi-TWILIGHT!", Rarity said happily but with an apologetic expression on her face."Well Twilight, I see you are wearing the outfit I made you,uh, where is, Spike?",Rarity asked with a confused look on her face."Yeah you know the purple dragon with green scales?"Pinkie butted in."Hehe yes Pinkie, I know who Spike is, and I am not planning on bringing him to school until next week.",Twilight said firmly but cheerfully. The white and pink mares nodded and the Rarity grabbed the two by the hoof and took them to their classroom.
Their teacher Ms. Harmony had aranged the desks into groups of four, and had left specific instructions to sit with other students whom you could stay on task with. Which for Twilight, was of course, Rarity and Pinkie."Hello students and welcome to a new school year."Ms Harmony announced as she walked in,"Now i'm sure you all know each other, but we are going to be having a new student joining us today. She is from Manehatten so she is not very familer with the area so i'm sure you'll all give her a warm welcome....."Ms. Harmony said but Rarity had seemed to drain her out with thoughts of her own, which she whispered out loud to her friends."Oh Manehatten! I bet she is a beautiful mare!",Said Rarity, but as those words spilled from her tongue, she wanted to take them back as an, orange mare with a blonde mane and brown hat walked into the room.
"Oh I can't bei-LEVE Ms. Harmony gave us a TEST on the FIRST DAY!", Rarity complained as the trio walked into the lunch-room
"Well if you had PAYED attention instead of staring at the new girl then you would not have made that grade. I mean come on even, Pinkie made a hundred percent on the exam.",Twilight said with a bit of lecture in her tone."Oh COME ON, how could PINKIE get a better grade than ME!?",Rarity said with a tone of half shock and complain."Well the test was over rules and procedures, which one, I already knew as it was and two, she basiclly GAVE us the answers to since she went over the rules right before she gave it to us.",Pinkie said as she picked her tray up off the stand.
The three girls had maybe been sitting down maybe five minutes when the new mare walked into the room. After she had gotten her tray and then walked over to the table that Twilight, Rarity, and Pinkie were sitting at."Um, ya'll mind if I sit with ya?",She asked politely with her country accent."Why of course!", Twilight said as lightly patted her hoof of the seat next to her."Um if you don't mind, could you tell us your name, we didn't quite catch it because SOMEPONY was talking.",Twilight said giving Rarity a glare."Oh no problem, my name's, Applejack and uh, well Ms. Harmony kinda got where i'm from wrong. I am actully born in Ponyville, and I only live in Manehatten for about the time of last summer to be Honest."Oh that explains a bit, because I never thought a mare from Manehatten would were something that,um,country. But actully you very pretty.",Said Rarity kindly."Well now that we kind of know each other, could we all be friends?",Asked Pinkie,"I don't see why not!" Said Twilight, and the friendship was sealed.
