I coughed up green blood, letting it hang out of my mouth and dribble to the floor. The Unicorn knows how to hit, or his hooves are just very rocky.
"Look at me..." The Unicorn said, to which I complied by raising my head ever so slowly. Once I was face-to-face with Unicorn, I saw his face falter for a moment. So what did I do? I grinned maliciously at him, showing off my fangs.
"What's wrong, Pony? Never seen a King of Changelings before?" I asked sarcastically. I knew that the Pony hadn't seen anything like me before, especially since I was sitting down, in shackles, and still taller than him.
"Can't say that I have, but we still have questions to ask you..." He said, watching as I raised my hoof to wipe the blood off my mouth. Once that was accomplished, I looked back at him, gesturing him to continue. He coughed into his hoof, looking at me while pointing towards the bars of the cell. "It's not me who wants to ask the questions, it's her."
I followed his hoof to where he was pointing and saw a lavender Unicorn, obviously female judging by the physique. Either that, or it was a male that was so weak it couldn't flip a page without asking its grandfather for help. Luckily it was the female choice.
The Unicorn walked in, and I was able to get a closer look at her; she had a dark-purple mane with a light pink stripe going through it. Interesting color scheme... Her eyes were a purple color, or at least from what I could see; the beating I got really blurred my vision. She had a Cutie Mark, but I couldn't see it from here.
"Greetings, I am Twilight Sparkle, protege of Prin-"
"Princess Celestia, I know." I cut her off, frowning a bit. That earned me a punch across the face by the guard. If I wasn't in shackles, I would tear the guard apart, limb from limb. But because I am currently in that situation, I could only growl and glare.
Twilight gently coughed into her hoof, glaring at the guard too. "Please don't hurt the prisoner, the most comfortable prisoner is the most cooperative prisoner." She lectured the guard, turning her head back to me. "Sorry about that. Anyways, I'm sure you know that I have some questions for you?" I nodded. "Good."
She pulled out a notebook and quill, writing something down and looking back up at me. "First question, what is your name?"
I sighed, "King Carcass of the Changelings." She scribbled that down.
"Next question, do you have any friends? Family? Relatives?"
"I'm a Changeling, a King at that, and you expect me to be related to somepony?" She nodded. "Well I guess I'm related to the old queen; she did lay me as a egg and all." She scribbled that one down, causing me to groan with annoyance; I never really understood why they had to write things down.
"Alright, we're making progress. Next question, how did you end up in this situation." She asked curiously, raising her eyes up to look at me.
I pulled out a toothy grin, chuckling lightly. "Now there's something interesting; the story of how I ended up here in the Canterlot Dungeon. Well, it all began when I captured a certain thorn in my side who went by the name Chrysalis..."
"What do we have here?" I asked, walking through the entrance to my own dungeon in my underground castle. Once I entered the room, I saw a certain Changeling queen; her hair was a silky light blue, but her eyes were a sickly green. Not much of a difference between a normal Changeling drone and her, unless you count she's three feet taller, annoying, and very seductive.
The Queen raised her head and looked up at me, my smile causing her blood to boil. "Release me now or else I'll tear your wings off where you stand!" She shouted at the top of her lungs, causing the guards at the entrance to jump slightly. I could only chuckle at the stupid command.
"You do know that you're in shackles, have a ring on your horn, and that you're in a castle thousands of feet below Canterlot, right?" I asked sarcastically, and watched as her face contorted into different emotions; first anger, confusion, then no hope. Oh joy, I'm starting to break her.
Suddenly, she smirked at me, saying in a smug tone, "My Changelings will get down here and rescue me, then they'll destroy you!" I chuckled once more, another stupid accusation! Strike two, just wait until strike three!
"They couldn't get down here even if Cerberus was on their tails; this place is locked tighter than you-know-what!" I said, chuckling at my own little joke.
She looked down at the ground, sadness spreading across her face.
I walked over to her, using my magic to make her look at me. "You aren't going to leave this place alive unless you follow my instructions accordingly, alright?" She hesitantly nodded. "Alright." I let her head go. "There's a wedding going on in Canterlot, and I need the emotions to feed my subjects, for I deeply care about them. You on the other hand, don't, so I'll make this proposition," She looked up at me once more. "You're going to gather all the love for me, so that I may feed my subjects. I must warn you, there are the Elements of Harmony there. Of course, I'll split some of it with you so that you stay fed, but if you fail, I'll strike myself and kill everything in my way, including you."
I leaned over to her ear and whispered, "Get the love, or die, your choice." I stood straight up, turning back to the door. I slowly made my way to it, yelling over my shoulder, "Tell me when you're ready!"
"Wait!" She yelled behind me, to which I stopped and turned around. Once my gaze met hers, she looked back down fearfully. "I will do it, but you must give me some of the love."
"Oh, don't worry," I said, waving her off with a hoof, "You'll get your love, just do your job." I knew she couldn't complete the task, which leads us all the way to when the assault on Canterlot began...
71.2 Hours Later, Center of Canterlot
I walked through the streets filled with a mixture of my Changelings and Chrysalis', plus some Pony hostages. The streets were filled with potholes, mainly because the Changelings decided to dive bomb with their foreheads. The buildings were burning, flames licking the wood rooftops. The castle was already filled with Changelings, mainly with Chrysalis inside.
I quickly flew towards the windows that were connected to the throne room, planning to make my grand entrance. Upon reaching the glass, I charged through it, shattering it.
Once I landed, I saw that everypony there was shocked to see me there, including Chrysalis. I looked over the room, noticing that everything that wasn't a Changeling got glued to the floor, literally, even Celestia was hanging from the ceiling.
I whistled with a surprised tone. "I'm surprised you made it this far, Chrysalis, I thought you'd die by now!" I said with a chuckle.
I looked over to Chrysalis and saw that she was not happy to see me. "You want to know something, Carcus?" I looked at her with a confused expression, trying to piece together what was going to happen. "I'm tired of you being more superior than I am, so you want to know what I'm going to do?" Now I knew what was going to happen. "I'm going to eliminate you!" She got into a pouncing stance.
I stood there silently, staring at her, then a smile crept up on my lips. "You want to know something too, Chrysalis?" I asked, walking over to her slowly. "I am more superior than you, I am stronger than you, I AM more lethal!" I shouted as loud as I could, shooting a large ball of energy at her.
She barely dodged it, her tail getting scorched. She quickly recovered and shot back at me, but I raised a shield and blocked it. I quickly ran over to her before she charged up another spell, and hit her with my hind legs. She went flying to the opposite wall, her scream fading away as well.
Once she was out of earshot, I turned back to the Pony hostages, smirking with a toothy grin. "Tell me, Ponies, what exactly did she do that made her throw a fit like this?"
They all looked at me with fearful expressions on their faces, but the pink Alicorn spoke up, "She took in enough love to become stronger than Celestia, but how'd you beat her?"
I smirked, looking back at the direction Chrysalis was sent. "Simple; I'm a very strategical and logical. You know what they say; practice makes perfect!"
Suddenly, Chrysalis came back at me with enough force to send a dragon back to the Badlands. She leaned forward, forcing me to go head first into the ground and fell pain in the back of my head. Endless. Fucking. Pain. Once we stopped, I punched her off of me, roaring loudly. She was sent back into the center of the room, to which I lifted her up with my magic, smirking slightly.
"You can't win, Chrysalis. And I will never let you win." I said, watching her eyes slowly roll into the back of her head.
"No, neither of you will win." A voice to my left said, causing me to look. I saw that the pink Alicorn and the white Unicorn had somehow gotten together and were now creating a pink aura that dribbled with pure love. I dropped Chrysalis and charged over to the two, my powers kicking in and I began feeding for a second. A second. Until the pink aura exploded outwards, sending me into a nearby wall and Chrysalis out into the world.
As the aura disappeared, I fell to the ground, watching as green blood dribbled from the cracks in my chitin. I didn't see that coming, got to come prepared next time I guess.
My vision started blurring, and I felt as though I couldn't breathe.
Oh wait, I can't.
The last thing I saw was the Elements and the Princess being set free before blacking out...
