I lifted the piece of paper up to my face, tracing the dark curves with my eyes. Somewhere within those lines, I found comfort- and with comfort, I convinced myself not to run off. Truthfully, I wanted to keep that paper up and just hide behind it forever, but that wouldn't accomplish anything. If I was going to go through with this, I had to make sure that no one was around to witness it- both for his sake and mine. What if someone does see? My grip on the paper tightened. What will I do then?
