She had always loved looking at all the windows, each depicting of the history of her kingdom. All, except one, the day she banished Nightmare Moon, who was her sister, Princess Luna, to the moon. Celestia, had regretted that day ever since for a thousand years. She was just on her way to the throne room, when she saw the window that shown the day that she had first raised the sun. It also shown along with it, the night that Luna first raised the moon. "I remember that day very well my sister", Luna said from behind, walking up to her elder sister. When she was close enough, Luna noticed a single tear rolling down Celestia's face. Luna ran up to Celestia, and threw a comforting wing on Celestia's back in an attempt to calm her sister down. "I remember that day very well too Luna", Celestia finally said, wiping away the tears with one of her forelegs. The castle, had faded away to the day that an eager young Celestia, walked up to the castle balcony of her old home, glowed her horn, opened her wings, and flew up to raise the sun with her magic. The young princess, noticed a flash on her flank and her cutie mark of the sun appeared representing her talent to bring light and harmony in the day. Sometime later, her younger sister Luna was born, and as soon she was old enough, she walked up to the castle balcony, glowed her horn, opened her wings, and flew up to raise the moon with her magic. The younger princess, had notice a flash on her flank and her cutie mark of the moon appeared representing her talent to bring darkness and peace in the night. Luna was a happy princess at first. When the sisters brought balance to their growing kingdom, everyone of their subjects were happy. When Luna looked out on her kingdom at night, however, she noticed ponies were not playing at night they were in their homes fast asleep. That made the younger princess angry and she shouted, "Why does Celestia bring light to the ponies and I do not get the same love with my light?!" Celestia didn't notice of her sister resentfullness until they got older. She walked out to Luna's room, and noticed Luna was crying. "Luna, I am sorry that you are not getting the same love with your night as I do with my day, but we are meant to rule together little sister. Will you accept my friendship?" "GO AWAY CELESTIA! LEAVE ME ALONE!" Luna had shut the door in front of Celestia's face as soon as Celestia walked out of the room. Luna lept on her bed and cried with pure frustration and anger at her elder sister. The next morning, after Celestia raised the sun, Luna said from behind the two thrones, "Not another step." Celestia gasped as she noticed her sister was still full of anger. "Luna please do not do this. This is not good for our kingdom. Lower the moon." "Do really expect me to sit iddley by while they all bask in your precious light? There can only be one princess in Equestria. And that princess wil be ME!" As Luna said those words, the window above the thrones broke and shown the sun in the sky. Luna raised the moon eclipsing the sun in its darkness. Luna began to change. Her indigo coat and all were covered by a black light of darkness from the eclipsing moon. A whole new pony stood in Luna's place. A black alicorn who was as tall as Celestia, with a light blue mane and tail, light blue armour helmet and shoes and the same necklace and cutie mark as Luna the moon on both of them and fangs. She began to destory the castle that will soon be called the castle ruins. Celstia was furious at the pony that her own sister had become she was deffently the young sister she had once known. "Luna I will not fight you. You must lower the moon. It is your duty." "Luna? I am Nightmare Moon. I have but one royal duty now. TO DESTORY YOU!" Celestia flew to one of the holes in the roof and into the sky. Nightmare Moon flew right after her. The two of them were flying while Nightmare Moon tried to hurt Celestia with her magic. Celestia was finally hit with one blow and she screamed in agony. Celestia fell to the floor of her once beautiful castle. She finally got up with sorrow and anger in her eyes. "Oh dear sister. I am sorry but you have given me no choice. But to use these." Celestia's magic revealed a secret hiding spot from the most powerful magic known to Equestria. The Elements of Harmony. Celestia had a very special flashback when she and Luna first saw the Elements in the Tree of Harmony and used them with her sister to defeat Discord. When all six Elements were circling around Celestia with her magic, she flew to Nightmare Moon for one more battle that will change her life forever. With tears in her eyes, Celestia used the Elements to let their powerful magic, even more powerful then Nightmare Moon's to defeat her sister. "NO!" The Elements had sent Luna to the moon where she had remain ever since. From that day on, Celestia took on responsabilty for both sun and moon and harmony remained in Equestia. But Celestia knew that on the longest day of the year, the stars will aid in Nightmare Moon's escape and she will return to bring nightmares to all of Equestria in everlasting night. She tursted in her faithful student Twilight Sparkle to organized preperations in the new location for the Summer Sun Celebration, Ponyville. She also instructed to make some friends because she told her that there's more to a pony's life then just studying everyday. Nightmare Moon did return that very night when Celestia was suppose to raise the sun but she had mysteriously disappeared. Twilight Sparkle and her new friends went through a series of challenges that Nightmare Moon threw at them. With the Elements of Harmony they used to defeat Nightmare Moon, the Elements took the shapes of the ponies cutie marks, five in a necklace and one in a crown. Celestia returned to congradulate her faithful student and her friends on defeating Nightmare Moon, little did they know they also did something else. They brought Luna back to her original form. "Princess Luna. It has been a thousand years since I have seen you like this. Time to put our differences behind us. We were meant to rule to gether little sister. Will you accept my friendship?" "I'm so sorry. I missed you so much big sister." "I missed you too." Celestia and Luna's flashback came to an end. Luna noticed that Celestia was still crying. "Is there something that troubles you dear sister?" "Luna, I'm sorry. I never should have sent you away. I wish I could have saved you." "Dear sister you did the right thing. Mother and Father wouldn't want to see you like this. As Mother told you be strong. For our kingdom." That night, after Luna had raised the moon, Celestia looked out on the castle balcony, and looked at the two brightest stars in all of the sky. The stars were her parents. Celestia said as she was tearing, "Mother, Father, please if you're listening, keep our kingdom full of harmony guideing my hoof and Luna's. Watch over us. I will be strong. For me, Luna, Cadance, and Twilight. I'll be strong for you as well. And the Kingdom."
