Celestia stood there, alone and cold. She stood there looking upon the moon, her eyes brimming with tears. The Elements of Harmony were at her hoofs, glowing and shriming like stars with the power she activated. She stood there, not making any noises or movement. All she did was stare, unblinking, at the moon in the night sky, the last night Luna would have the honor to rise. She stood there, thoughts came and past, one by one they faded to nothingness. Only one thought stood out, ringing in her ears, screaming in her head.
I could have stopped this.
But she didn't. Celestia stood there, knowing that what just happened could've been prevented. She stood there, and nothing could make her move. The Everfree forest groaned and whined all around her, singing in sorrow and shame. A Timber Wolf howled from a distance, birds chattered in fear, cricket's calls sounded slower, the wind sung in pain. None of it mattered. Celestia stood there, all the sounds were nothing but a whisper, a small voice that couldn't cut through.

Celestia cried out. Anger and sadness rung through through the Everfree, silencing even the winds. She stood there crying her eyes out, pleading for Luna to come back, even if she knew it was in vain. She stood there making a sound that would soften a cragadile's stone heart. She stood there, her body trembling and shaking. Tears ran down her cheeks freely. She paid no heed to them. She stood there, her legs almost buckling with the emotions she felt. She stood strong, even if she was howling in pain and sorrow.

Was it right? Did Celestia really do the right thing? Celestia stood there, her howls of pain were quieted to sniffles and gasps. She stood there, being the hero of the story. She banished the evil, and saved the land, saving all the ponies in equstira, all but one. She stood there, her white coat glimmering and her mane shimmering. The weight of the world on her shoulders, threatening to break her. Her eyes not moving an inch away from the moon. She stood there, with the Elements of Harmony by her hoof's, dieing in color, not glimmering anymore. Honesty, kindness, laughter, generosity, loyalty, and magic. She stood there, knowing that those element's weren't connected to her anymore, they were just gems.

Celestia stood there. She had a kingdom to run, she had to move. She stood there, her legs refusing to follow her commands, her wings glued to her side. She had to move, she can't stay her any longer, her body said other wise. So, she stood there. Her pink eyes looked at the moon. She wondered what Luna was thinking. Was she thinking Celestia was the monster? Or, is she thinking she's free? Either way, she's better. Celestia stood there, knowing what she just did would effect her through all eternity. A new thought popped up into her head, a thought that would stay with her.

Celestia had enough. She fell to her knees, the world, the sun, the moon came crashing down with her. She sobbed, and made a awful noise once more. She knew the thought was true, even if she disliked it oh so much. Her eyes fell to the ground, staring at the soil and rocks. The Everfree forest whined with Celestia, singing in the lose of Luna. The Elements of Harmony faded in color, being dull and gray, turning into rock. She didn't care, she didn't care if a dragon would swoop down and take her, she didn't care at all. All she cared for was Luna. A empty felling filled her heart, making the once joyful and happy Celestia into a sad and pitiful shell. She sobbed, tears fell to the ground. She knew that she saved the land, she knew she would be praised as a hero, she knew that this night would be a fairy tale by tomorrow. She knew that it would effect her, yet she did it anyways. She banished her only sister.
I have a kingdom to run. Come on, Celestia, get up! Raise the sun!
Celestia's cries died down. A cold gust of wind washed over her, making her shiver and remember where she was. She had no idea how much time has passed. Hours? Minutes? Seconds? Did it matter? Yes. She still had a kingdom to run, she still would have to raise the sun eventually. She slowly got up to her hooves once more. She looked at the Elements of Harmony. Gray and stone like. She knew what it meant, but didn't care at the moment. She once again looked at the moon. The shadowy figure still was imprinted on to it, glowing in all it's glory. No matter what, it was going to stay there, even if she pleaded with all her heart. She wasn't strong enough to bring her back, not yet anyways. Tears started building up again.
No. Celestia, please! Raise the sun!
Celestia stood there, knowing she had a job to be done, even if she didn't feel like it. Her horn glowed with a yellow aura, raising the sun and setting the moon. She normally watched the sun, but tonight, she watched the moon set. The shadowy figure still on it, not coming off any time soon. The moon fell behind the trees, making it invisible to Celestia. The sun came up, warming up the land, waking the earliest of risers. Nocturnal animals fled form the upcoming light, hiding in caves and under ground. It was a normal morning, like any other morning. Expect, it wasn't.
Celestia stood there, one last tear fell to the ground, splattering on impact. One last thought ranged in her ears.
