Legend of Magic
Chapter 4: The City
Previous Chapter"If we want to find out how this world is like... How do we get in there without being stared at? We don't look human." Rainbow Dash said.
"Well... Remember what those humans said about us? They thought we were these 'spirits'. They seemed like it was what happened every day. Maybe we can be 'spirits'... Hopefully nobody can look at us. I guess some of us can fly above." Twilight suggested.
"That actually is a good idea!" Rarity remarked. "Let's go and see what we can look at. Wow... That golden building looks so shiny and pretty..." Her eyes sparkled. Applejack just smiled and nudged Rarity along.
Soon, they reached the edge of the city. "Ugh, I can never get used to city life..." Applejack said to herself. "It's so crowded and noisy."
Rarity heard what she said. "City life is amazing!" She replied. "The beautiful lights, the wonders every day-"
"Ok. This is where we separate." Twilight said. I'll go with Rainbow and Fluttershy to fly over and find somewhere to stay for now, while you three explore the city." The 5 mares nodded, and they split up.
As the three winged ponies flew up above the city, Twilight marveled at the city down below. She could see these strange shelled wagons that seemingly moved without being horse-drawn or magic! She could feel the steam coming up from many vents in the city and the wagons. For now, she thought, I will call these strange wagons Steam Wagons because they seem to be powered by steam. They were also flying in the direction of the giant tree, and as they got closer, they could see that the width of the average root of this perplexing tree is longer than the height of the average pony. Now, that was impressive. How do these humans even manage to live with these roots?

Meanwhile, Applejack and Pinkie Pie grudgingly agreed to follow Rarity to look at all the pretty buildings around this city. After looking at the golding building and a strange shiny building made out of glass, they got closer to a white marble building penetrated with some vines. They were also very close to the giant tree. There was a huge crowd of rich-looking humans outside the building, and there seemed to be somebody standing right outside the building speaking, but the three couldn't make out the words, because they were too far away. They curiously walked closer, and they saw that there was a man in a suit on stage, with a human woman which looked like she was in her prime standing next to the man. The ponies didn't really care what the man was saying, but they got closer, standing near the edge of the crowd, but nobody noticed, because the ponies were only the size of a medium-sized dog, and they were too busy listening to the man on the stage.
Suddenly, when Pinkie Pie bounced even closer to the edge of the crowd, the woman on stage stiffened. She looked around, looking like something was happening, searching for the source. Now it was the three's turn to stiffen as the woman's eyes locked on them.
