Come to me, and we will become one. We will become one. One. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1: Portals... I see. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1: Portals... I see. Princess Twilight Sparkle paced around the dimly list throne room of her crystal castle, thinking. Tonight was another of her TTT's, aka Twilight Thinking Times. Which is basically... well... you know, when she thinks about theories and other complicated social friendship stuff. Tonight, she was thinking about her friends over in the world of humans and Canterlot High. Were they ok? Were they attacked by another evil demonic flying she-demon who was possessed by excessive power because of the ridiculous amount of magic? Ugh. Calm down, Twi! She thought to herself. I guess it's because of the stress. But she really, really wanted to go visit them. It's been a year, anyway. And she even wanted to introduce her pony friends to human twilight, and the human versions of her friends. It'll be really cool! I guess that won't break the space-time continuum or make the world explode anyway. I'm sure Pinkie would be really excited! She trotted back to her room, and started silently packing up the things that she will need for the trip. Then she quietly lay down on the bed, closed her eyes, and slept. ~~~ The next day, Twilight called in her friends. "Morning!" She cheerfully said as she entered the throne room. "Guess what we're doing today?" Rarity stared at Twilight's huge smile on her face. "Well, it's probably something you really like-" "Yes, that is true!" Interrupted Twilight. "But it is also something that you gals will like too!" "And what will that be, exactly?" Rainbow Dash was skeptical. Twilight's horn glowed as she levitated a huge cloth away from a giant mirror. "We're going to Canterlot High together!" She trilled, bouncing on her hooves. Everypony else wondered why Twilight could ever do that. It was Pinkie's unique bounce. Well that doesn't matter, anyway. "Omigoshomigoshomigoshomigosh!" Dash's eyes sparkled. "REALLY?? I GET TO MEET MY HUMAN COUNTERPART??? THAT MEANS WE CAN GO RACE EACH OTHER AND SEE WHO'S FASTER!!!" "Rainbow darling, it won't work anyway. You two are basically both the same!" Rarity giggled. "But I'm as excited as you are to see what beautiful dresses the other Rarity makes!" "Uhhhh.............. I'm not sure if that's a good idea....." A tiny voice whispered from the back. Oh, of course. It's Fluttershy. "Why? Twilight asked. "The portal's working perfectly fine!" "I-it's just that there maybe a chance that something happens..." Fluttershy mumbled. "We know that there are other dimensions out there, what happens if we get accidentally sent to another dimension? Such as Discord's Puppet Dimension?? I really don't want to go there! What will happen to my poor, poor animals friends?" She hid her face in her hooves. "Don't worry. Celestia confirmed that this portal only leads to one dimension: And that's the dimension that I went to before." Twilight replied. Fluttershy still hid there, obviously not believing it. "But anyway, who's in?" All the ponies except for Fluttershy raised up their hooves. They looked at her, begging. Eventually she whispered, "Fine..." and held up a trembling hoof. "Yay, then let's go!!!" Pinkie screamed. "WOOHOO!!" She bounced around, and grabbed a saddlebag chock-full of random items and dumped it on her back. All the others stared at her. "Okay then. We'll meet back here this afternoon. Spike, please send a note to Celestia that we'll be gone for a short time." She gestured to Spike, who just woke up, and stumbled into the throne room, wondering what's will all this commotion, as the others left. "Dear Princess Celestia," Twilight dictated, :My friends and I are going to visit CHS, so that I can introduce their human counterparts to them. Also, it'll be cool to show them all I've accomplished there and all the surprises that wait in that world! We'll come back in less than two days, it depends. I really miss my friends over there, anyway. It's also a nice time to keep them updated on the news from Equestria. Your Faithful Student, Twilight Sparkle." "Sent." Spike announced, "I'm sure nothing bad will happen. We've basically destroyed all the enemies over there." She smiled. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2: Oh. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2: Oh. "Good afternoon!" Twilight said, sitting on her throne along with spike and the others. "It's time! Remember, don't try to do anything that doesn't seem humanlike. We are ponies after all. Have you read that book I gave you just now on how to survive as humans?" Applejack pulled a face. "How do you expect us to read a whole book in 10 minutes?" She whipped out a huge book and plumped it on the map-table. "Seriously." The rest nodded. Twilight grimaced. "Oh, I guess you're right. Whatever than. Just don't do anything unless I tell you to over there. Let's go!" She got off her throne, and the rest followed. Spike caught up. "What about me? I've packed too!" "I'm sorry Spike, you can't come. It'll be quick, anyway." Twilight grinned and whispered to spike, "There's nothing for you to see. I know you want to look under Rarity's skirt." Spike's face flushed. "Hey!" Everybody else giggled. "Bye Spike!" And they headed towards the room with Twilight's portal. ~~~ After a very nauseous journey through many dimensions, the six mares finally fell down from the sky, thumping on each other onto the dirt. "W-where are we?" Mumbled Rainbow Dash, one eye open. "T-this doesn't look like a high school..." Twilight stood up, staring at her surroundings. Desolate brown mountains surrounding both sides of the place they appeared, it must be a valley. But with no civilization in sight. "Wait..... yea... this is not where we are supposed to go... Come on everypony, let's go f- wait... EVERYPONY? Are my eyes having a problem?" She looked down at herself. And touched herself. "Nope. They're fine. But wait.... Is the portal malfunctioning or something? Did we go to the wrong DIMENSION? Oh, Sweet Celestia... No..." The rest of the ponies groggily stood up, blinking. "I thought we were supposed to become humans..." Applejack said, confused. "I think we are in the wrong dimension... I thought the portal was perfectly fine! 100% Celestia approved! I... actually don't know which dimension we are in. It can't be that weird-looking dimension that I went to with talking cats... Or that one with dancing hippos in tutus, ugh." Twilight put a hoof to her head, frustrated. "Now I've got no idea how to get back. Let's just get walking, and try to find civilization, if there are any."  She started walking, with the others following her, panicked but keeping their calm. Rainbow Dash flew ahead of Twilight and landed in front of her. "I'll go scout ahead and see if I can find something." She flew off, a blur of rainbow light. The rest just kept on walking. After what seemed like hours under the scorching sun, Rainbow Dash flew back, eyes wide and pupils dilated, and landed skidding in front of them. "Y-you won't b-believe what I've seen..." She panted. "Giant flying bison!" "WHAT?" Pinkie Pie gasped. "YOU KIDDING? THAT'S EPIC! ARE THEY LIKE THE YAKS A COUPLE MOONS AGO????" Rainbow sighed. "No, they're not, Pinkie. They're totally different from what you might expect. They're huge. Like dragon size. No kidding. They don't seem to have a conscience... They didn't even notice me when I came close to where they were grazing. Some of them have saddles on their backs, unlike any I've seen. Not like the ones Rarity wears for decoration. They're really big, and round, but I think something big really rides on those bison things. And they also, really, really, FLY. It's so strange, and they don't even have wings or anything visible that make them fly! It has to be some type of magic. Let's go investigate together." Twilight nodded. "See, girls? There is civilization here. According to my estimations, the creatures who live here, are probably like humans, but much, much, bigger. Basically giant humans. Nothing to worry about!" "T-there is something to worry about..." Fluttershy let out a squeak and hid behind Rarity who frowned at her. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3: Discovery //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3: Discovery Eventually, the 6 mares saw the herd of Sky Bison grazing. They were very impressive, flying up the mountains and eating the fruits off the trees up above. So that's why they fly... Twilight thought. It's pretty useful. Suddenly, Pinkie yelled. "OH LOOK! AN OMINOUS FORTRESS AIMING SOMETHING AT OUR HEAD! COOL!" Rainbow Dash dragged Pinkie next to her, as Twilight Sparkle summoned a shield. A huge boulder thumped against the shield, and Twilight winced. "How did they do that? There wasn't any magic or weapons visible!" Applejack remarked. "That's strange. They must have some invisible creatures or something." After a minute of not seeing any more big projectiles aiming at their way, Twilight dissipated the shield. Rainbow Dash swooped up and took control. "We have to go investigate that fortress. I'm sure we can handle it. We have these things right here." She flapped her wings once. "Applejack can just carry Rarity or something while Pinkie can manage on her own." "But-" Twilight sighed. No use, the girls were already heading off, and she reluctantly followed Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy into the sky. Soon the pegasi and one alicorn arrived at the top of the fortress. Surprisingly, nopony was there. "If nopony is here, then how did the projectile boulder thingy come from here?" Fluttershy was very confused. Flashes of black appeared, and suddenly these weird looking masked creatures on two legs appeared on the roof. Wait... they look familiar... Twilight thought. These are humans! Suddenly the humans stopped. Twilight murmured to Rainbow and Fluttershy. "These are humans. I don't know why they look so different from the ones I know. I suggest you not to attack. They don't seem to be." The two nodded. The human on the left lifted a hand and lifted their mask, to reveal a normal looking man with brown hair. "Oh. Just spirits. Let's go. No wonder they got up here so fast... They're probably new to this world." In a flash, they disappeared, jumping off the roof. Twilight was standing stock-still. Spirits? How did those humans get up here and jump down so fast? We don't look like spirits. How did they not recognize us? If this is the human world? "That was much of an impression." Rarity commented as the three wingless ponies arrived at the top. Applejack was panting. Suprising. Pinkie was not, even though she was carrying Rarity. "What do they mean by Spirits?" Twilight thought. "Let's leave. There sure is to be a city or a town nearby, because they have this fortress to guard it. Let's keep walking in the same direction." ~~~ After getting down the fortress, they walked what they thought was a couple miles. Suddenly, Twilight felt a magical tingle from her horn all the way to her cutie mark. "Strange... I sense a magical presence nearby. I suggest we go check it out. It seems not to be using dark magic, or light magic, or even pony magic! It's such a strange magic... But it seems good." The others, curious, also follows. "All I want is some water..." Rarity whined. As they got closer to the presence, the more tingly Twilight's horn felt. Soon, a great blur loomed in front of them. They walked closer again. It was a giant tree! and behind the tree, there was a huge beam of light, reaching up to the sky. Both presences were emitting ridiculous amounts of powerful magic. The huge roots of the tree intertwined with huge buildings that looked like the ones in Neighjing. The 6 could hear the buzzing of the city from this far away. It felt like any other city, but this buzz was more mechanical, while Manehattan and Canterlot felt more like home. Ah, home. How I miss it. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 4: The City //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 4: The City "If we want to find out how this world is like... How do we get in there without being stared at? We don't look human." Rainbow Dash said. "Well... Remember what those humans said about us? They thought we were these 'spirits'. They seemed like it was what happened every day. Maybe we can be 'spirits'... Hopefully nobody can look at us. I guess some of us can fly above." Twilight suggested. "That actually is a good idea!" Rarity remarked. "Let's go and see what we can look at. Wow... That golden building looks so shiny and pretty..." Her eyes sparkled. Applejack just smiled and nudged Rarity along. Soon, they reached the edge of the city. "Ugh, I can never get used to city life..." Applejack said to herself. "It's so crowded and noisy." Rarity heard what she said. "City life is amazing!" She replied. "The beautiful lights, the wonders every day-" "Ok. This is where we separate." Twilight said. I'll go with Rainbow and Fluttershy to fly over and find somewhere to stay for now, while you three explore the city." The 5 mares nodded, and they split up. As the three winged ponies flew up above the city, Twilight marveled at the city down below. She could see these strange shelled wagons that seemingly moved without being horse-drawn or magic! She could feel the steam coming up from many vents in the city and the wagons. For now, she thought, I will call these strange wagons Steam Wagons because they seem to be powered by steam. They were also flying in the direction of the giant tree, and as they got closer, they could see that the width of the average root of this perplexing tree is longer than the height of the average pony. Now, that was impressive. How do these humans even manage to live with these roots? ~~~ Meanwhile, Applejack and Pinkie Pie grudgingly agreed to follow Rarity to look at all the pretty buildings around this city. After looking at the golding building and a strange shiny building made out of glass, they got closer to a white marble building penetrated with some vines. They were also very close to the giant tree. There was a huge crowd of rich-looking humans outside the building, and there seemed to be somebody standing right outside the building speaking, but the three couldn't make out the words, because they were too far away. They curiously walked closer, and they saw that there was a man in a suit on stage, with a human woman which looked like she was in her prime standing next to the man. The ponies didn't really care what the man was saying, but they got closer, standing near the edge of the crowd, but nobody noticed, because the ponies were only the size of a medium-sized dog, and they were too busy listening to the man on the stage. Suddenly, when Pinkie Pie bounced even closer to the edge of the crowd, the woman on stage stiffened. She looked around, looking like something was happening, searching for the source. Now it was the three's turn to stiffen as the woman's eyes locked on them.
