Twilight and her friends stood in complete shock with Pinkie and Rainbow Dash being the only ones to have their mouths hanging open and who could blame them? They had just learned that their friend and Equestrias' newest hero was the son of the former thousand year old tyrant; King Sombra who was starting to lecture the young unicorn about revealing his magic.

"How many times have I told you?!? NEVER use your magic-."

"Unless it's an emegency which it was!" Valiant argued while pointing out the castle guards dragging out the caribou in chains but that did not stop his parents from continuing the lecture while the others watched.

"We understand sweetie but try to tone it down next time?" Radiant hope; Valiants mother decided to put an end to the argument before things got tense and gave her son a very affectionate hug.

"OHHH!! My sweet baby boy!!" Hope cooed as she began smothering him with kisses.

"MOM?!? Not in front of my friends!" His cheeks flushed red as he struggled to get loose from his mothers grip while the girls laughed. Sombra then noticed Loken trying to crawl away before trapping him in a magic bubble.

"Going somewhere?" Sombra asked before tossing the wounded priest back a ways when Valiant pinned him to the wall by the throat.

"How'd your people get into the city?!?"

"You'll get nothing out of me BOY!!"

"Wrong answer."

CRACK!!

"EEAAAAAAGGGHHH!!!"

With just using one hand, Valiant snapped Lokens wrist in one quick move. The pain the high priest was beginning to feel was unbearable as his whole left arm flopped down like a piece of meat with the sensation of the snapped wrist still burning away.

"TALK! Or I'll break every bone in your body!!"

"Should we intervene dear?" Hope whispered while she watched her son throw Loken to the ground before pressing his boot on his throat.

"Not yet. I think he can handle this." Sombra watched as his son continued the interrogation.

"I'm running out of patience and you're running out of breath!! Which one goes first is up to you..." Slowly Valiant pushed his boot down harder and harder until the caribou finally tapped out after nearing full suffocation.

"ALRIGHT!! CACK! Alright...it was the nobles." Everyone was in disbelief when Valiant hung him over the balcony.

"If you're lying..." He began to loosen his grip when Loken became frantic and was even starting to cry.

"I SWARE!! A few nobles in Canterlot sided with us! They promised us slaves and treasure once we allowed them to take over!! I've told you the truth so please don't let me fall!!" Loken pleaded with Valiant before being tossed back to the guards.

"Take this scum to the dungeon!!"

"With pleasure sir."

"WAIT!" Twilight shouted when she plucked a piece of paper sticking out from his robes. It appeared to be a list of the nobles and their meeting places but some of the names were smudged thanks to Lokens little dip in the fountain.

"Princess Celestia do you know these ponies?" Twilight showed Celestia the names before noticing the expression on her face.

"I do. These nobles are from the families that used to rule Canterlot and all of Equestria before Luna and I came to power."

"Upon our Ascension to the throne, they tried manipulating my sister and me into enforcing the slave trade. We refused and were met with opposition." Luna added when Celestia used her magic to restore the smudged names before giving a sigh of relief to find that some of the nobles she trusted weren't on the list.

"We have work to do. Valiant, I'll need your help in rounding up these criminals."

"Consider it done my lady."

That Afternoon

All of Canterlot was in an uproar. Soldiers were marching down every street, through every district and began dragging the nobles of Canterlot out of their homes in chains and each declaring their innocence as they struggled to get free.

"THIS IS AN OUTRAGE!! UNHAND ME AT ONCE YOU BRUTES!!" A unicorn noble yelled before the guards brought out two mares that were shackled and covered in rags and bruises.

"Care to explain this?" A Pegasus asked in an angered tone before striking the prisoner.

"Swine. GET HIM OUTTA MY SIGHT!!"

"General Thunderbolt!" Valiant rode up on Fenrir when noticing the number of prisoners being loaded onto the wagon followed by more imprisoned mares being brought to the med tent nearby.

"What do we got?"

"It seems they were about to have an...orgy sir." The general seemed reluctant in revealing his discovery to his commanding officer and looked at the nobles again with disdain when one of them spoke up in anger.

"YOU CAN'T DO THIS!! I WANT A LAWYER!! I-!!"

SLAM!!

Thunderbolt slammed the wagon doors shut before giving the signal for the prisoners to be hauled off.

"Valiant? Care to introduce us?" Celestia had arrived with Luna and two of her night guards.

"Your majesties, meet Thunderbolt Sentinel; One of my best officers. He'll be Emelyn's replacement until she's fit to return to duty."

"A pleasure." The princesses gave a quick bow when a disturbed look came on the generals face.

"Sir. We found something I think you should see." Thunderbolt lead them to a secret passage found beneath the mansion leading to an altar baring the eight pointed star, the room was filled with a foul stench upon their entry and noticed two pedestals with shackles and discarded pieces of clothing.

"Those mares were offerings to Slaanesh...have their been similar findings?"

"There have. Permission to speak sir?"

"Granted."

"I say we burn down this wretched place to the ground!"

"Your majesties?" Valiant turned to the sisters who nodded in agreement.

"Make it so."

That day the city of Canterlot was set ablaze as many of its manors were burned to ashes with many of the citizens watching in shock, it was later revealed that a handful of nobles had sided with the caribou and were even planning to stage a coup after the princesses had been captured so as punishment the princesses ordered each of their horns cut off in front of all of Canterlot and were stripped of their wealth and entitlements as well as being imprisoned for life.

The day had been marked as The Great Canterlot Fire and served as a dark reminder to those who would dare betray Equestria and its rulers for their own ambitions.
