The Sky

Previous Chapter

Their captors were talking to each other as the flew through the sky. Twilight picked up a few things, mainly that they were on the backs of dragons, their captors were humans, which now made sense to Twilight, and they were going to a place called Berk. Rainbow on the other hoof was picking up way more than she was. They tried to talk, but they were going to fast.

"Hey, would you mind if, I dunno, I just flew?" Rainbow asked her captor, who's name was Tay, well that is what she had picked up.

"Can you really fly this fast? I mean really, there's no way," Tay replied, looking back towards the blue pony behind her, clinging onto the saddle for dear life.

"Yeah well you could always just tie a rope to me and let me glide," Rainbow yelled over the wind. Tay looked over towards Twilight's captor, who's name was Hiccup. He nodded and yelled over, "She has wings, just let her do it, with a rope of course!"

"Uh huh, I still think this is a bad idea," she mumbled before getting a rope out of her saddle bags and tying it around Rainbow's mid-section. Rainbow grinned before hopping off the white dragon's back. Spreading her wings, she glided behind the two dragons, realizing just how fast they really were going. Now passenger-less, Tay nudged her dragon and urged her to go faster. With a mighty beat of her wings, the female dragon sped up a good amount, passing Hiccup and Toothless. As much as Twilight enjoyed riding on Hiccup's dragon, she to wanted to glide through the air with Rainbow Dash. She whispered into Hiccup's ear and asked if she could do what Rainbow was doing. He shrugged and grabbed a bit of rope and he to tied it around her mid-section.  She rolled of of his dragon's back, spread her wings and glided behind him.

"Hey slow pokes, you gonna catch up?" Rainbow asked looking back. Tay turned her gaze back and a grinned slyly.

"Hey Hic, race you to that sea stack," Tay said before nudging her dragon who in turn beat her wings faster before plummeting to the ocean below. Rainbow followed closely behind, beating her wings so that she flew next to them. Hiccup nudged his dragon as well, shooting after her. They laughed, their dragons speeding up even more. Tay slowed a few feet away from the sea stack, looking like they were going to crash but thankfully the didn't. They landed neatly on top. Rainbow walked over to where Twilight was before they both collapsed.

"Looks like we're spending the night here," Tay said towards Hiccup.

"You said it Taylor," He replied, "Good night,"

"Night"

Rainbow woke in the middle of the night. She attempted to get up, but there was a rope net spread across her and Twilight with rocks holding it down so that they couldn't leave the sea stack, as if they wanted to. Rainbow nudged Twilight with her muzzle.

"Hey Twi, wake up"

"Mhmm, in a min," she mumbled sleepily.

"No Twilight, wake up now"

"But I'm tired, just go to sleep"

"Our captors are asleep, come on, lets go now while we can"

"FINE FINE I'm up"

"But you need to get this rope off of us"

"Oh, well that's a problem"

"Um, how? You have magic"

"I know that, but that would be suspicious, just get my knife"

"You brought a knife?"

"Yeah, now give it to me"

"Here you go," Rainbow handed over the knife to Twilight, "Guess it's a good thing you packed it"

"Yup, it definitely serves a purpose"

"You said it"

Twilight cut open a hole large enough for them to fit through. She climbed out and got her hooves untangled from the ropes. Rainbow followed, only her hooves weren't tangled up.

"Let's fly that way," Rainbow said, pointing her hoof to the north, "Probably somewhere there is an actual island that we can rest on, and then you gotta figure out what happened and get us home"

"Right, got it"

With that, the two ponies took off towards the north, unknowingly heading straight to their captor's place called Berk.

Taylor and Hiccup, Rainbow and Twilight's captors, woke the next morning. One glance towards the ropes with zero ponies inside caused them to panic.

"We gotta find them"
