The Knocking on The Library

A sudden rapping on the library door awakened Starry Dawn. Her groggy, blue eyes gleamed in the moonlight. "Who is out at this hour?" She wondered aloud, all the while, the eager tapping on the door reassuring her that she was no longer asleep. Her wild, orange, unbrushed mane stuck out in crazy angles, making her look less of a pony and more like a sugar-driven manticore. Starry stumbled from her bed and slipped past her sleeping dragon. Watching the baby reptile, she remembered Twilight Sparkle and Spike.
Twilight had been under Celestia in this library just like Starry was now. Starry smiled at the memories, but, alas, the old Mane Six had long since left and now Starry took the Element of Magic.
Her unicorn magic opened the door to let her peer out, when another force blew open the door from the opposite side. The young unicorn was flung back, hitting the shelves, becoming covered in dusty books. Her red-furred head popped out from under all the long-since read books and sneezed, helping to clear the air. Through the dust-fog, the pony saw a shadowy, translucent, golden-white swirl....
Gasping, she realized what the twirling flash was. From the few books she'd read, Starry knew that the mini tornado was the kind of mane Nightmare Moon had, only different colors. It materialized to Princess Celestia, the only difference being orange armor, also an imitation of Nightmare Moon.
"Starry Dawn," The figure started with a croaky roar. "I am Daybreak Star, the lasting echo of Nightmare Moon. After my sister's return, she had all the attention. NOT ME. So now I've come to redeem my subjects. With force!"
After horrible laughter, she disintegrated back to the golden-white twister and flew out of the library after destroying the beautifully placed books on shelves. Once Starry regained her sanity, she began reshelving the books, pausing each time to blow off dust from the less-used books. She had to admit, this unicorn didn't like reading as much as Twilight had.
Another knock at the door. Starry cautiously slid towards the door, hesitant of opening it. Finally, the knocking became faster, more worried, so she released the lock and let it slide open. Her light blue-furred pegasus friend blasted into the freshly placed books. Starry watched for a second, mouth agape. She stomped a hoof. "FROST FRINGE!" Starry Dawn shouted at the top of her lungs. The colt stood up and looked down at her, his ice-looking mane causing the moonlight to glare into the tired Starry's eyes. He smiled sheepishly, feeling embarrassed, then remembering his mission. He was the Element of Loyalty, replacing Rainbow Dash, although no one could tell because of their resemblance.
"Discord is free, a cockatrice has been spotted near the outskirts of Los Pegasus, and an Ursa Minor was seen rampaging past Fillydelphia. Sea Breeze was terrified for everyone, so she went out and checked to make sure both ponies and animals were safe," Sea Breeze was a dark purple earthpony with a green mane and pink eyes, she represented the Element of Kindness.
"Stone Blitz checked all the walls of Equestria with his team and deemed it safe," Stone Blitz was the Element of Honesty and a gray unicorn with blue eyes and a silver-white mane. He was in training for becoming a Royal Guard.
"Night Song made food for anypony who needed it," Night Song was a black-furred earthpony with light yellow eyes and a red mane. Her Element was Generosity.
"And Misty Drop tried to entertain all the scared foals." Misty is a white pegasus with purple eyes and a dark blue mane. Her Element is the last element, Laughter.
Starry Dawn nodded. "I should help. What will you do?" She asked while putting on a saddlebag. Frost smiled with pride. "I'm on the saving squad. Along with other pegasi, inluding Misty Drop now, we're saving ponies and bringing them to Canterlot. Go!" He pushed her out the door to get her moving. As soon as Starry got outside, she began seeing the destruction that had come with all the old foes. Even in the dim moonlight and stars' glow, the sad echoes of Ponyville lingered.
Sugarcube Corner, blasted to the ground.
Carosel Boutique, in flames.
Screams of her friends pushed their way to her ears and she stepped backwards. Frost noticed her inablility to move so he swept down and picked her up, gliding grimly to the Canterlot castle. Upon entering the castle, Starry saw ponies grievingly glancing at her. Frost coaxed her inside Luna's Wing, where the Mayor and Starry Dawn's friends gathered around a table with a map of Equestria. Luna sat at the head of the table, staring down at the ponies, her face looking thin from five restless nights.
"Ah, Starry Dawn. Has thou seen my sister?" Luna asked hopefully. Starry looked at the ground, terrified to answer the eternal princess and also afraid that all her worst enemies had caused all this misery.
"Actually, Luna, I have. But you wouldn't have remembered her." Starry continued in a swift story, giving many details about Daybreak Star so that the legend flew about the room, striking fear in the ponies' hearts from the start to the ending. Only, upon hearing of the other monsters terrorizing her town, it felt like only the beginning to a true chronicle.
Luna looked stunned. Anypony could see it from her expression. Her tired eyes swelled with tears, knowing that her only sister, who did nothing but what's right for her younger sibling, had turned against all the ponies whom she loved and vise versa.
"I must ask you all to leave. I just need a few hours of rest." Luna spoke quietly, afraid that loud noises would knock the tears trembling on her eyelashes down from their perch. The ponies nodded, noticing her sorrow. They all left the Princess to weep silently alone.
