//-------------------------------------------------------// When Zombies Take Over -by TheMasterBronyDoctorGuy- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 Sunset Shimmer woke up this morning ready to start the day strong. It was Friday, which meant she and the others would be practicing a bit in the band room. Sunset had a really great song to share with them and couldn't wait. She walked into the bathroom and grabbed a comb. Her red and orange hair was always a mess in the morning and sometimes she questioned how it got in the shapes it did. She turned on the faucet to wash off her face and stared in the mirror for a bit. Lost in thought and concentration.  When she remembered the faucet was running, the sink had nearly overflown and she hastily shut off the water. She dipped her hands in the water and splashed some on her face wiping off the grime of sleeping with hair like hers. It was a burden at times and maybe she'd ask Rarity if she knows of any good barbers in town. She went back into her bedroom and got changed into her usual green skirt and jeans, before going to the kitchen and making a bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios. She went into her fridge and pulled out a jug of milk and poured some into the bowl. She sat at the table thinking about yesterday at the park. Pinkie had succeeded in surpassing her record of cupcakes, it was now 10, she could stuff into her mouth. Twilight was flabbergasted by the amount Pinkie had achieved. Twilight began trying to analyze Pinkie and asking questions left and right, to which Sunset had replied," she's Pinkie Pie, we don't question her logic. It'd be best if you not try, you'd have a better chance of growing a potato on concrete than figuring out Pinkie Pie's left eye." This then raised questions about Pinkie's left eye. Twilight had given up shortly after and sat back down. Rainbow Dash later winked at Pinkie, who winked back and Rainbow turned to Twilight. "So Twilight, rumors have been spreading around the school that you're, like lesbo," Rainbow began. When Twilight didn't answer Rainbow had asked," well are ya? I mean i'm curious and so is Pinkie." "Rainbow Dash they're rumors, they're never true," Applejack said," ah'm darn sure she ain't 'lesbo' otherwise she may have blushed er somethin' like that." "Y-yeah Rainbow w-why are you believing rumors," Twilight stuttered. "What was that Twilight I couldn't hear you under your stuttering," Rainbow had asked leaning towards Twilight. Twilight had wanted to keep her mouth closed but she'd walked into this, she could either have confessed or walked, maybe ran, away. "Come on Twilight. Just say it. You're lesbo, i've been seeing how you eye Sunset." "Now hun don't let Rainbow get under yer skin," Applejack said patting Twilight on the back," she's just tryin' tah get a good laugh er somethin' like that." "But even if you were lesbo, we wouldn't think of you in any mean way," Pinkie added," I mean what kinda friends would we be if we were mean to you because you were in love with the same gender?" "Guys leave Twilight alone," Sunset shouted," you're putting to much pressure on her! If she's lesbo she' lesbo, if she wants to share it, she'll share it! She obviously isn't comfortable with all this talking going on about these rumors that you're making up Rainbow! So just shut up about it!" Sunset had gotten up and offered Twilight a ride home. Twilight had agreed and grabbed her stuff. The others began packing up and waving each other good bye. Soon it was just Twilight and Sunset in the park. "Yes," Twilight said. "Yes," Sunset asked," oh yeah. Cool. That makes two of us." Sunset wasn't usually open about her sexuality, but if Twilight had trusted her enough with the truth, Sunset was sure she could trust Twilight with just as much. Sunset and Twilight had walked down the street admiring the scenery. The night was beautiful, the stars glimmered perfectly in the sky. The street lights were the only problem. Had they not been there Sunset felt like she could have looked at Twilight in the most romantic way possible. And she felt as if Twilight may have done the same. She felt that if they had wound up on a hill overlooking the country side it wouldn't have mattered. The idea of just holding hands with Twilight had sounded perfect at that moment. But only then had Twilight spoke. "Hey, um anybody in there," Twilight asked. Sunset had nodded and looked at Twilight. They were at her home and Sunset had felt a bit upset their trek from the park to Twilight's house was over. Looking at Twilight in the moon and starlight made her look amazing. Her eyes twinkled behind her glasses and her deep purple hair seemed so silky. Even the buttons on her pale blue shirt had sparkled. Twilight had looked like a walking glass work. "Sunset, would you like to come inside?" She had nodded again her mind was somewhere else at that time. Twilight led Sunset inside where they she was greated by Twilight's parents. She had shaken hands with each of them. Twilight introduced her to them in return. Twilight then led Sunset to her room. Inside was full of small trinkets and tons of papers. "Mind the mess, just reorganizing in here. Gotta throw out all the old anammmph." Sunset, in a flash, had kissed Twilight who was surprised by the sudden intimacy. Twilight's lips felt so soft her body felt so warm, so comforting. Twilight's glasses tried to stay on her face but there just wasn't enough room and they fell to the floor. Twilight hadn't been sure what to do, but, instinctively, grabbed ahold of Sunset and they stood there kissing. Time seemed to stop flowing until Shining Armor barged in. Sunset and Twilight jumped, and Sunset turned around. Shining Armor stared at them, mouth wide open. He had no idea that his sister loved girls. "Oh um I should, probably go, school tomorrow, and band practice," Sunset said hurriedly. "Yeah, right, um bye Sunset, great um, breathing exercise, really loved it," Twilight had said as she picked up her glasses and fixed her deep purple hair," um I mean really liked it. It was really moist, I mean nice." Sunset thought about that time a bit more before she remembered she had school. She guzzled down the last of her milk and picked up her backpack, leather jacket, and guitar. She ran out the door and towards the school as fast as she could passing by shambling people as she went.
