Chapters I Can't Believe That I Love You
Why is my dear sister depressed......
Luna was playing with her food, again.
Celestia noticed this.
"Please sister, you must eat. You've haven't eaten anything for almost a couple weeks. You know that's not good for your health." Celestia tried to urge her.
"I can't Tia, I'm sorry." Luna pushed her food away and headed off to her room. I'm starting to get fairly worried, Luna's been like this for a couple weeks. And she won't tell me why. What's going on?
Later on in Luna's room
"I know I should tell Tia but I can't bring myself to telling her. I also wish I could tell Mac as well." Luna whispered to herself.
She turned to look at a part of her wall covered with some peel off paint.
She walked to the wall and, using her magic, she took something off the wall that was hidden with a special paint.
"I miss you so much, Sombra." Luna said, with tears in her eyes.
The tears dripped onto her picture.
It was a picture of her and her old best friend, Prince Sombra.
You all probably heard that once Sombra became king of the Crystal Empire, he became too greedy so he became evil.
It broke Luna's heart, especially the fact she had to turn him into a shadow.
Today was the anniversary of his turn, that was making Luna so emotional.
She just couldn't tell Celestia due to the fact that Celestia hates the fact that he was so power-hungry.
Tears started coming to Luna's eyes again.
Celestia was watching through Luna's keyhole and sadness washed over her.
Her sister was scared to tell her was bothering her because it was an old friend of hers?!
Celestia stepped away from the keyhole and left Luna's room alone.
And with that, Luna started singing.
Why did I have to miss you?
You may not see it, but you are important to me.
You were the one, who was a true friend.
I miss you the way a friend would.
Why did you have to be evil?
Yeah, why did you have to be evil?
I wanna get to know you again.
I still remember the times we've had together.
We were young.
Our memories will last forever.
Whether we like it or not.

Our friendship is stronger then we could ever imagine.
We pranked, we laughed, we did every average young thing.
Why did I have to miss you?

When Luna stopped singing, Luna remembered the good times.
The time Sombra and her put toothpaste in Celestia's makeup.
The time Sombra put whipped cream on her hoof while she was sleeping and she hit herself with the whipped cream.
The time Tia, Sombra, and Luna played tag.
Happy tears came to Luna's eyes.
"I miss Sombra like crazy. Maybe Tia would understand if I told her." confidence filled Luna.
She unlocked her door and headed the throne room.
When she was in there, she saw Celestia on her throne.
Luna sighed and walked over to her.
"You're out of your room sister." Tia said, shocked.
"Yeah, Tia? Can I ask you something?" Luna sat beside her.
"Of course, Luna. What is it?" Celestia said, looking at her sister with concern.
"Remember mine and Sombra's friendship when we were younger?"
"Yes I do, Luna. I thought your friendship was stronger then Discord's and mine." Celestia remembered.
"You mean, you aren't mad that I miss him?!"
"Of course sister. When you and Discord were gone, I felt so empty and alone. I understand how you feel."
"But I thought you hated Sombra since he turned power-hungry?!"
"Luna, I may not appreciate that he went evil, but I still know that deep down...... he's still the playful prince that was your best friend." Tia smiled.
Luna started having tears of happiness come to her eyes again.
"Luna, never feel like you can't tell me the truth." Tia lifted Luna's head to face her.
"Alright, Tia. You're the best sister I could ask for." Luna said, hugging Celestia.
Somewhere Mysterious
Sombra watched Luna and Celestia from afar.
And he started tearing up as well.
Even when he got power-hungry, he always remembered his and Luna's relationship.
Sometimes, he even dreamt about Luna.
Chrysalis and him were great friends right now but even that didn't compare to Sombra and Luna's old friendship.
"You're right, Luna. How could I miss you?" Sombra sighed to himself.
The only thing that Sombra didn't like about Luna right now was the fact that she was dating a country stallion.
Not just any country stallion, BUT ONE THAT HARDLY TALKS AT ALL!!!!!!
"Sombra, I'm here!" Chrysalis said from behind him.
Sombra closed the image and turned to his friend.
"Hey Chryssy." Sombra greeted.
"What were you looking at?" the changeling queen looked behind him.
"Um, nothing!"
"Alright then. Anyways, do you think it's time to plot our big attack?!" Chrysalis rubbed her bug-like hooves.
Sombra sighed, he couldn't tell Chryssy what he's been thinking.
"Sombra, are you alright? You seem kind of off." Chrysalis noticed that something off was going on.
"I know that we've been planning this attack for awhile but, I don't want to do this anymore." Sombra regretted saying that the second he said it.
"What?! But we've planning this FOR 5 YEARS! HOW CAN YOU BACK OUT NOW!" Chrysalis screamed, angrily.
"I just can't do this, I'm sorry. LEAVE ME NOW!" Sombra shouted.
"Alright Mr.Traitor." Chrysalis turned around and walked out.
But as she did, she whispered "It's because of Princess Luna. His true love."
I Can't Believe That I Love You
Luna was very tired, her and Celestia went on a small adventure around Canterlot.
When she arrived back in her bedroom, she plopped down onto her bed, and went into her slumber.
While she was asleep
Luna seemed to be in an odd place.
Somewhere she's never seen before.
"Hello Luna, my old friend." a voice had said behind her.
Luna turned around and saw Sombra behind her and tears started coming to her eyes.
"Sombra? What are you doing in my dreams?" a crying Luna asked.
"Shhhhh. It's okay. I know you're upset and confused." Sombra hugged Luna.
"I'm here because I need to talk to you. And I've got some ideas of what we could do."
Luna wasn't so sure about this since Sombra is evil and she's been crying over him for the past 24 hours.
"Luna, can I ask you something? Why are you this upset over me when I don't deserve for our old friendship?" Sombra looked away but Luna pulled him back.
"Sombra, I remember all the good times we've had we were younger. It's hard not to remember special memories that's always been in my heart." Luna said, crying but in happiness against Sombra's chest.
"Luna, this is your dream. How about you take us somewhere special." Sombra suggested and Luna gave a smile.
And with that, they ended up in a place whom both Luna and Sombra recognized: their filly/colthood!
"Um, Luna? Why are we here in a memory?" Sombra turned to a smiling Luna, who looked like she wasn't gonna stop.
"Shhhh, just watch." was all Luna said as they turned to the young versions of themselves.
"Lu? We're gonna get in trouble if we do this. You know what happened last time we did a prank on Tia." Young Sombra whispered at Young Celestia's sleeping chamber.
"What's wrong with getting in trouble every every once in awhile? It makes life much more interesting. Even Tia can admit that." Young Luna whispered back, with a mischievous smile.
It was hard for Sombra to resist those eyes of Luna's, especially in a time like this.
"Okay, fine. But you owe me in case we get in trouble." Young Sombra gave into his best friend.
"Okay, here's the plan. I'll distract Tia while you cover her room in whipped cream and crystals. And don't forget the note from her "Secret Admirer"" Young Luna winked.
Luna and Sombra had written a little note to make Tia think that Discord, Discord and Tia were gonna be angry once they found out about the prank.
An Hour Later
After the prank was finished, Young Celestia ran after the two best friends screaming "YOU TWO GET BACK HERE AND CLEAN UP MY ROOM RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!"
Of course they were laughing like crazy, despite the fact that Luna's older sister was screaming at them.
As present life Luna and Sombra were watching, Sombra realized something.
"Luna, was that really why you were crying over me so much today?" Sombra turned to Luna, who was looking like she was about to cry again.
"Yes, Sombra. That's the reason that I was crying over you so much today. Our memories are hard to forget." Luna sighed as a tear came down her cheek.
"If you want, I could leave if you want." Sombra turned away from Luna which only made her even more sad.
"No, no. Please don't leave. Wait a moment, how did you get into my dream anyway?"
"I'm a shadow pony, Lu, I've got these special talents as you do."
"Did you just call me by my nickname from my fillyhood." Sombra nodded to the question, which made Luna smile.
As Luna smiled, she suddenly went to vision mode, with Sombra still with her.
The vision was of a light black/grey unicorn stallion with a black mane and tail with midnight blue streaks in it and Luna standing together on a hill.
It looked a lot like Sombra, but only more handsome and more good.
Suddenly, a small pegasus with a black mane and tail with midnight blue fur coat.
"Mommy, can you tell me the story again?" the pegasus asked Luna.
Mommy? the present Luna thought to herself.
"Of course, Midnight. But we'll tell you later. Right, Sombra?" future Luna said, shocking present Sombra and Luna together.
Once the vision ended, Sombra and Luna just stood there in question.
"What do you think that meant? Because I'm so confused." Sombra asked his colthood best friend.
"I'm not sure, this may my dream but visions don't just appear from daydreaming."
The dream started shaking, a sign that Luna was waking.
"YOU'RE WAKING UP LUNA! I'VE GOT TO GO!" Sombra shouted as the image started fading.
"Sombra, WAIT!" Luna shouted as she was now awake.
"That really was a dream? But it felt so real." Luna said aloud as Celestia entered Luna's bedroom.
"Luna? Are you alright? You shouted as you woke up." Luna's older sister asked, Luna nodded to the questions.
"Good thing you awoke, your coltfriend is here." Celestia said, Luna sighed and climbed out of her bed.
When Luna arrived at the royal kitchen, every cook there bowed to her, including Big Mac.
"Hey Macintosh. How are you?" Big Mac kissed Luna's cheek.
"He's good. Hey there Luna!" Big Mac's sister, Applejack, greeted her princess of the night.
"Hello Applejack. How's the farm right now? It's cider season right now?" Luna asked the earth pony siblings.
"In two weeks yeah. But not just 'et." the orange earth mare said.
"Thank you for the information. Big Mac, still up for our date tonight?" Luna turned to her boyfriend.
"Eeyup. Applejack, think ya can manage bucking the whole row of applebucking while I'm with Luna?"
"I can big brotha, don't ya 'orry about a thing."
Little did Big Mac know that Luna had other plans for that date.
I Can't Believe That I Love You
Meanwhile on the date, the couple was very quiet and didn't say anything.
"So, Luna? There's something we need to talk about." Big Mac said shyly.
"What is that? If this is about the pie, I BLAME TIA!" Luna outburst, making Big Mac laugh a little.
"No, this isn't about the pie or the food in general. It's about our relationship." Luna was starting to see where this was going.
"Luna, I've got feeling for somepony else. And without telling you sooner, I started dating that mare first."
Luna started to have tears come to her eyes, she wasn't expecting this.
"Luna, I think...... that we should be break up." Tears started forming in her eyes, which meant her eyes were turning red.
"I don't understand..... I thought we were getting along fine! I thought I was a good girlfriend! I'M SO CONFUSED!"
Once Big Mac explained why he was breaking up with her, Luna just ran off.
"I don't understand him at all! He started dating a mare that he loved without informing me first!" Luna yelled while crying.
"Luna, it's gonna be alright." the voice of Sombra whispered.
"Sombra? Where are you?" Luna looked around but soon there was a flash of light.
"I'm right where I should be, by your side." Sombra appeared beside her.
"Okay, you scare me sometimes! Then again, you are the evil king of the Crystal Empire." Sombra laughed and Luna rushed to his hooves.
"Sombra, do you know who Big Mac was dating behind my back?" Sombra bit his lip.
"Yeah, it was actually.... Marblestone Pie. They admitted their feelings a night after one of your dates."
Luna continued to cry and Sombra comforted her the best he could.
Although Discord and Celestia were watching from afar.
"Discord, are you sure you can do this?" Celestia asked her friend.
"Please, if I was able to get yours and Fluttershy's friendship, I can make her realize her love for him."
