So Sad til I meet my new mom
(told from Scootaloo's point of view)
As I was leaving the clubhouse, I hid from Apple Bloom's sight so she couldn't see me. I quietly walked from Sweet Apple Acres and ran to my house. When I arrived to my house, I let out a huge sigh. I know what you're thinking, why are you sighing when you have parents to cheer you up?! Yeah, I don't have any parents. My parents died when I was a little filly, I learned to raise myself, with a little help of Rainbow Dash. Ponies always ask why Rainbow Dash is my idol. I lie and say because she's so awesome. She is, but she's actually a sisterly figure to me. She helped raise me so she's a pegasus. Ponies would never get it so I lie every time, even to Sweetie Belle and Apple Bloom! That's so wrong to lie to my best friends. But if they find out that I'm a orphan, I'll be kicked out of the Cutie Mark Crusaders! And they're only friends that I have. So I have to keep the fact that I'm an orphan a secret. Rainbow Dash is the only one who knows, and she promised not to tell anypony. Apple Bloom could understand but she has Applejack, Big Mac, and Granny Smith. So, no one would understand how I feel. I dropped my saddlebag down in my room and went to my kitchen. In the cupboard, I grabbed peanut butter, jelly, and bread. From the silverware drawer, I took out a knife to spread the peanut butter and jelly onto two slices of bread. I started humming to myself. Then I started singing out loud.
Why did I have to feel this way?!
Why did I have to be parted?!
Why did I have to be so alone?!
I am so young to be here alone!
Why do I have to lie?!
Why did I have to be so alone?!
As I kept on singing, I wasn't aware that there was somepony else in the house. A pony with a dirty blond curly mane and tail, an alicorn, was looking around. When she came to the kitchen, she sees me.
"*clears throat* Hello there." she cleared her throat, startling me.
"AK! You startled me! Wait a moment, WHY ARE YOU IN MY HOUSE!" I realized that she was in MY house!
"Sorry, I thought that this place was abandoned. I'm Autumn Breeze." the alicorn introduced.
"May I ask why you're alone, without any adults?!" I had tears start coming to my eyes. Autumn Breeze started singing.
Please, don't cry. You'll be alright.
I'll hold you close, to where you'll see...
That you and I, are best friends as can be.
You are amazing but even you can be sad.
I sniffled but stopped crying. "You have a nice voice." I said and Autumn smiled.
"Thank you, now, what's your name young filly?"
"My name is Scootaloo." I introduced. "BTW, you're an alicorn?! And you're not a princess?!" Autumn laughed and answered.
"You're not the only one who's asked me that. I was actually born an alicorn and yes, I'm not a princess."
"I don't mean to sound rude but how did you come across my house anyway?" I asked and Autumn smiled a warm smile. "I actually came across it the other day while walking with a friend. Actually, my sister."
~Flashback~
"Autumn, it's still not fair that you're an alicorn while I'm just a pegasus!" Alysium Flower complained (that's the OC for my sister Alyssa).
"Not my fault that I was born an alicorn!" Autumn shouted.
"Humph, fine. At least Zoebug is a pegasus as well." Alysium grumped (that's the OC for my little sister Zoey).
"Hey, check that out!" Autumn pointed at a house down from the hill in which they were standing on.
"Not really that interesting, Autumn. You can check it out tomorrow but we have to get home." Alysium turned around and so did Autumn. But Autumn couldn't help but wonder what's in there.
~Back to Present~
"So this little house is what brought me to you." Autumn explained.
"What was interesting about it?" I asked, having tears come to my eyes.
"I don't know, there was just something about it that had me interested." Autumn started hugging me.
"Well, I've gotta go. It was nice meeting you Scootaloo." Autumn turned around and left my house. I decided to follow her, but walked quietly behind her. When they came into town, Autumn started getting mobbed. She used her wings to cover her and ran. Scootaloo could still see her and ran behind her. Once Autumn got to an adoption center, things started getting suspicious. When she went in, I knew I had to watch through a window. I saw Autumn go into a room, I went to the window of that room. I eavesdropped through something me and the crusaders invented.
"Hi Miss Lily." Autumn sat down into a chair.
"Hello Autumn, what can I do for you?" a unicorn with a very light pink mane said.
"Well, I met this filly I want to adopt." When I heard those words, I gasped in my head.
"What might this filly's name be?" Miss Lily I think her name is asked. "Her name is Scootaloo." My ears perked up.
"Alright, just fill out these papers and you have a new daughter.
~1 hour later~
"*lets out huge sigh* Finally, I'M DONE!" Autumn sighed.
"Alright, you have a new daughter. Have a nice day, Autumn. By the way, here's a cloak to protect yourself from mobs." Miss Lily gave her the cloak and Autumn left the building. Before I knew it, I ran home because I knew Autumn was coming to my house. Once I got there, I quickly packed up everything. When I heard a knock at the door, I went to the kitchen and started drawing as well I was there the whole time. "Scootaloo, are you home?" Autumn said, coming through the door.
"Hi Autumn, it's only been an hour since we last saw each other." I tried to act natural. "I've got some news. So, I was at the family adoption center and filled out a thousand papers, and you're my new daughter!" My eyes started filling up with tears and ran to her hooves.
