This is a straight up rewrite of my first fic, Dragon of the Eclipse. While the story is very much complete, I feel I could have done it better, and it doesn't help that it was originally two stories, one by another author, which was never completed.

This will be a much more polished tale, with minor and major changes throughout. Also expect it to be much lengthier.

As of this writing, Season 3 of Friendship is Magic has yet to debut. The continuity of this story is based on the assumption that nothing critical from Season 3 onward ever happened. As such, any explanation of a character’s backstory in Season 3 that conflicts with this fan fiction will be ignored. However, any minor clarifications that may assist with this story will be incorporated.
