The New Life

I woke up to the sound of Rarity’s voice telling me it was time for breakfast. I got up and walked down the stair to the smell of freshly made pancakes, a little burnt, just how I like it. After we ate I was about to head out so I could meet up with my friends when I heard Rarity yell for me. She said “Sweetie Belle, I’m feeling kind of sick. Can you do the dishes for me”, her voice sounded slightly hoarse.

“I don’t have time for your shit. I need to meet up with my friends” I yelled, immediately realizing what had just come out of my mouth.

“Sweetie Belle!” I heard her yell as loud as she could “Watch your language and learn to respect me. If I ask you to do something do it. With that moment I will do anything to get you to learn that. Actually, I will be going to Sweet Apple Acres today anyway, I will ask Applejack if she can take you until you learn some respect and responsibility. Go to school. If possible, I will have Applejack pick you up, so if she does, be ready to help her out.”

“Wait, no! Rarity, I’m sorry!” I pleaded

“No I will not wait. That was unacceptable, and you know it. Applejack will make you learn respect and that’s why I want you with her for a while so you don’t have another outbreak like that” Rarity said as she walked out the front door of the Carousel Boutique and walked towards the train station.

I headed out to school. I went through the day as normal, until the end of the day. At the end Applejack came to pick me up. I almost fainted right there and then as I knew there was no getting out of this one. As I walked alongside Applejack she stopped and said to me “Ah am so disappointed in you. Why can’t y’all just respect Rarity, but nah, you just had to say that. Now Ah have to feed another mouth all because y’all can’t shut yer mouth. So here is the deal, imma call you Apple Belle for now on, and y’all better hope it catches on. When you get home, do your homework and then go out and work. Now that Ah have custody of you Ah can do as Ah wish and Ah am not afraid to hit you to prove a point.” She started walking again. We stayed silent all the way ‘home.’

Apple Bloom asked why I showed up with Applejack and I told her the whole conversation and what happened this morning. She said “Well, Ah have and never had a sibling my age, and neither have yo-… Oh sorry. Ah will show you how to do somethings around the place in a bit. But now that we have this opportunity, lets tell everyone in school where sisters, we kind of are now, we’ll use it to make that Apple Belle name come to good use, your full name If anyone asks would be, how about… 'Sweetie Apple Belle Sweetapple'... Oh sorry, ah don't know why Ah ramble like this to mahself. But if you want to do that, lets go for it. We are going to be like sisters, we will want to kill each other like normal sisters do, and that will probably be soon. So, do you want to?” I just smiled and hugged her.

“I might as well, it would be the only positive of today,” I responded. Not realizing how much that answer would affect me. I now declared myself an Apple, all just because my best friend asked me to. It’s stupid looking back at it, but yet, it was understandable.

Somehow, me and Apple Bloom managed to get over 1,000 apples to bring back to the house. Applejack told us one more day of this and we get a day off to do as we wish.

The next day in school we showed up at the same time, everybody asked why this was. We said we found out we were blood related through a blood test we both took, and decided that I should move in with Apple Bloom, that Rarity did not want an Apple foal living under her roof as it made her look bad. So now we live together.

Just because we spent more time outside of school together, we bonded to the point of actual love. (Sisterly of course). After school my second day we didn't get all 1,000 apples. We actually only got 781 apples. Applejack screamed at us saying that was not good enough. We told her we tried our best but she just hit both of us with a wooden paddle she had and said to us: "There is no try, just do! Neither of y'all get dinner tonight! Just go to bed!" We just went upstairs, me and Apple Bloom's new sibling rivalry got us to race to Apple Bloom's room, I won. After that I went to my room, and went to sleep.

The next morning, before breakfast, I asked Apple Bloom something that has been on my mind for some time now. "Hey Apple Bloom, why did you act like you know I'm going to be here for a while, which the whole sister thing and such."

"Because it's Applejack. Ah know her. When Rarity wants you back Applejack will say you didn't change, possibly that yer more disrespectful. If Rarity says she doesn't care, Applejack won't hand custody back over. Rarity made a huge mistake handing yer custody over to Applejack. You are a benefit to the farm, and Applejack with use you for that and just that, yer stuck." She slowly walked away after that. I wondered to myself if that was true, yet I was to scared to ask. Maybe I could run by and visit Rarity really quick to ask her for advise on what Apple Bloom said. After all of our morning work, we left early so I could ask. I said that we were grabbing some stuff from Rarity.

At Rarity's I grabbed nothing, I just said to her "Apple Bloom told me Applejack will never let you have me back. I want to come back. Can you ask?"

"Sure. If I get a bad report though, she can keep you." Just then Apple Bloom walked in.

"Applejack's bad reports will be complete bull crap. She will do anything to keep Sweetie Belle on the farm so she can use her to get a higher income. If you say you don't care, she won't hand over shit. Sweetie Belle, your stuck, like I said, your a benefit that Applejack does not want to lose. She will do anything not to. Sorry." Apple Bloom said to me.

"Both of you wait for me outside the Carousel Boutique after school. I will ask. Apple Bloom, just in case, I want you waiting too" Rarity said to both of us before sending us out to school. We went through the day as normal. A weird thing happened midday however. Big Macintosh came into class, whispered something to Miss Cherillee and left. After school Miss Cherillee told us he told her to let us know not to go near Carousel Boutique. We did not listen.
