Illidan Stormrage awakens in Equestria and tries has to try and adapt to his new circumstances living as a pony in Equestria, but something contacts him in the dark of the night. Someone that many thought had been vanquished.

Fate is strange. We go on in our lives believing it either exists, or it simply doesn't. Where are we fated to go? Who we are fated to be with? When will fate lead us to where we want to be? Is it a choice, or something preordaned? No one truly believes fate exists, just as much as no one really believes it doesn't. With the beginning of your life begins a journey, towards you. It moves slowly, but it never stops. No matter where you go, or what path you take, it will follow. Never faster, or slower, but always coming. And though you may run, you will never get further away from it than you were before. You might rest, but it won't. Eventually, you will slow, to catch your breath, and a second shadow will be standing next to yours. Your life will then be over. But that, is not necessarily the end. With your final breath, you will see your life as you knew it. You will feel regret, anger, and sadness, yet also joy in knowing your journey has finally ended. It is no longer in your control. Finally, you can rest. Fate is strange in that way. But sometimes fate must be forced.
When the whole world turns against and the one's you trust the most turn their back on you, what is left for you to do? His betrayal is the stuff of legends. His love and hate drove him to doom his own existence, and his reward was exile. A quest to the end of the world left him scarred and alone in his final moments. Alone and hated as memories of his long life seeped before his eyes as they closed for the last time. What is the reward for sacrifice? What hatred is needed to have come so far? A long path requires sacrifice, something he has come to understand.
