Chapters Rain pattered against the stain glass windows and lightning cracked menacingly in the dark clouds over Equestria.
Celestia struggled in her sleep, mumbling.
Suddenly, a very tremendous thundering crack sounded, and Celestia sat up in her bed, her eyes full of fear. She looked around to see that she was back in her bed. Luna was awake, and over by the window, looking out at the strange storm.
Celestia got off her bed and walked up beside her sister,
“Its the same thing.” Mumbled Luna, staring out into the ongoing storm,
“Whats the same thing?” asked Celestia,
“The storm,” answered Luna, still staring, “The same storm was here last night.”
“How do you know that?” asked Celestia,
“the lightning bolts are very violent, and they glow velvet, there is not a gap in the clouds as far as the eye can see, and my eyes can see well in darkness.” Luna pointed out,
“It is strange.” Said Celestia.
“But could it be discord?” asked Luna, “or maybe King Sombra, or Queen Chrysalis.”
“Back from the dead? I think not. If only Twilight and her loyal friends could do something.” Celestia said, wishing it were true,
“Yes, sister me too, but you and I very well know they passed long ago.” Luna sighed and shook her head.
The door behind them swung open with a bang, and the two sisters heard laughter. The princesses swung around to find a dark, very tall pony standing in the doorway,
“Oh my, Celestia and Luna, you look troubled.” The Pony's eyes were violet, shining with evil, her body was grayish-black, and her mane and tail looked as if on fire with white and purple flames. She had a tall black crown of obsidian and her unicorn was tipped with green. Her wings were battered, as if from battle.
“Who are you?” Demanded Luna stomping her hoof.
“What?” said the pony in a bittersweet tone, “You don't know who I am? Well now that’s just awful now isn't it.”
Celestia and Luna both knew that this pony was an evil force, they had faces many a foe, they knew one when they heard one.
“Well if you must know...” continued the pony taking a step forward, “I am the mother of that 'King Sombra' you so bravely defeated. But if you will, call me the Queen of Plasma.”
“Sombra?” echoed Celestia,
“What do you want?” asked Luna fiercely,
“You of course,” said The Plasma Queen, suddenly her unicorn summoned an orb of blue light. Celestia had just enough enough time to shout “Guards!” before a ray of plasma streaked through the air at her. Fortunately, Luna pushed her out of the way just in time, the lightning hit the wall, eating away the paint until you could see the brick. Celestia and her sister faced the evil pony again, just in time for another ray of lightning coming at them, Celestia cast a shield of pink around them, and the lightning hit that instead.
But just as Princess Celestia thought she would make it, her shield started turning greenish blue, it kept taking over the color and when it got to Celesta’s horn, there was a small explosion that sent her flying into the mirror, shattering the glass and drawing blood.
“Sister!” cried Luna scrambling over to her wounded sister, but the Plasma Queen threw a bolt of lightning her way. Luna parried it with a soft blue light coming from her unicorn and it overtook the evil pony's power. The plasma queen blinked a few times but she regained concessions and blasted Luna on the side as she was trying to help up Celestia. The blow was too powerful and it knocked the night pony into the other wall.
“Ha ha!” laughed the Queen of Plasma, casting a bubble of violet light around Celestia, “you will never defeat me,”
“You... will never, get away with this!” Luna said from her spot on the ground, but The plasma Queen, and Celestia were already gone.
Luna staggered to her feet just as two guards came rushing in, they saw the smashed mirror, burn marks, and Luna on the floor. They ran over to their princess and helped her up,
“What Happened?” asked the general, looking around the room in horror.
But Luna was already half-unconscious.
“Get her too the medic, now.” said the other guard as more came galloping in.
Luna was put on a cot and carried out of the bedroom. The soldiers had not known what happened, but they could feel that there was something odd about the storm...
When Princess Luna finally woke up, she was in a soft white bed, with something attached to her fore-hoof, it had a wire that ran up along into a screen, which showed her heart beats.
“Well, have ya' had a nice nap?” asked the plump nurse, she was writing something on a clipboard.
All Luna could do was nod,
“Well good, because you're gonna half ta' say what ya' saw to those soldiers out there.”
“What?” Luna was still in a daze, but then she suddenly remembered, the storm, the Plasma Queen, Celestia, everything!
“What went on last night.” said the Nurse, taking the thing off her hoof and turning off the machine, “You can fly, and walk, you just need to keep that bandage on yer' side.”
Luna looked down at her body and saw an eggshell white bandage wrapped around her, but her wings fitted through it so that she could fly, it was so light she hadn't felt it.
Then Luna got an idea, “I'm going to go on a walk.” she said promptly,
“Ya' want some body guards or something to go with ya?” asked the Nurse staring at the Princess.
“No, I won't be far, just going into town.” Luna slid off the bed and knew exactly where she wanted to go.
And with that she walked out of the nursing room and closed the doors behind her.
“Hot Muffins! Who wants some?” called Isla from the Kitchen, she was a white pony with a fire red and burnt orange mane and tail, her cutie mark was a small flame, and she was an allicorn. She appeared from the kitchen doorway holding a tray of freshly baked poppy seed muffins.
Titus, Marsha, and Aurora all smelled the freshly-baked smell and all went to take a pastry.
“I do I do I do!” Said Marsha grabbing a muffin and biting half of it in one bite. “Yum, these are delicious, Isla!”
Aurora found herself eating her muffin greedily and looked around to make sure no one was looking, then she ate the rest politely.
Titus got two and bit into one, the buttery goodness melted in his mouth, giving a pleasant warmth.
“These are amazing!” complemented Aurora, dabbing the corners of her mouth with a napkin.
“Thank you!” said Isla setting the tray of food down on the table and took one herself.
“Did you guys hear the storm last night?” asked Titus finishing off his second Muffin.
“I did,” said Aurora,
“I didn't.” said Isla and Marsha at the same time, “Me either!”
“It was terrible,” said Aurora, “I mean, yes, I am the pony ice and wind but that was a storm like I’ve never seen!”
“Purple lightning.” Titus added.
“Well enough with this 'terrible storm'” said Marsha, “Lets do something, its Saturday ya' know.”
“Yeah!” said Isla, “We should do something fun! Like break into Master Mifus' office.”
“What would we do in there?” Asked Titus, Master Mifus was their school teacher, he taught them to use their elemental powers and stuff like that. He was rather grumpy though, he always wanted them to focus on their powers instead of what they like to do, such as: Isla liked to bake, Titus liked art, Aurora loved sports, and Marsha loved to read and write.
“I don't know, steal some old newspapers?” said Aurora,
“nah, something else.” said Marsha, “Hey! How about we paint our hooves!”
Isla and Aurora agreed heartily,
“Yes!”
“Of course!”
Titus laid his ears to his neck. But seeing their friend, The girls felt ashamed,
“Oh Titus,” said Marsha,
“We could do something else.” Isla tried.
“No, its okay, I’ll just—paint or something.” And with that Titus walked over to his bedroom. While his friends went to theirs to do a mane-icure.
Titus knew his friends meant good and were nice, but he couldn't help sometimes feeling lonely, he wished he had a boy to do stuff with. Although all the other boys his age were either to obsessed with graffiti and girlfriends, or they called him a girly-pony for liking art, always hanging out with Aurora, Marsha, and Isla, and liking school.
He sighed and then plopped on his bed. He pulled out a sketchbook from a drawer, and grabbed a pencil. He loved drawing ponies, and warrior's armor that existed only in his imagination. As you already know, he was a pony of earth, and by being a pony of earth, he was an earth pony, no unicorn or wings to help him get around. But he would half to live with it.
Titus quickly sketched a guard, waring fine, smooth armor. The suit of armor covered all four of his legs and there were very small plates of metal protecting half of the wing, but the pieces still allowed the soldier to fly. His helmet was very fine, with a ruff, as always, and some jewels on the edges just to make it look cool.
Titus flipped the book shut and put it back in it's hiding place under a bunch of papers.

The school bell rang and Titus, Isla, Marsha, and Aurora got up from their desks, gathering their books. They didn't go to any ordinary school, they went to a private one where it was only them, learning about their powers.
“Remember, there’s a test on Friday!” called out Master Mifus, “And don’t forget to do your homework! Marsha, you too, you didn't do yours last time.”
Marsha shrugged and went out the door with the rest of their friends.
“So guys,” said Isla once they were all out of the building and heading back to their cottage. “I've been thinking—”
“Wow, that's a surprise.” Aurora cut off.
Isla huffed, but kept going, “I think we should go on and adventure!”
Silence.
“I said, I think we should go on and adventure!” She repeated,
“What?” said Marsha statistically, “Like we should go over misty mountains and slay a dragon and return with it's gold and become heroes?”
“No,” said Isla, “like on a Saturday, we could go on a hike or something! We haven’t done that for a while. And who knows, we might run into and adventure!”
“Uh...” started Titus, but before he could finish, there was a pony's flapping behind them. They all whirled around to see the Princess Luna land on the soft grass, her blue mane was blown by the soft wind and her coat shone like it had been polished.
“Luna!” Marsha said, going into an embrace with the princess of night.
Luna had been the one who had—when they were fillies—set up them a private school, and made a home for them to live, since the little ones had no parents, she gave them a home, and she provided the food.
“Kids!” Luna said, hugging Marsha,
“Nice to see you again!” said Titus,
“Love your mane,” complemented Aurora,
“Yes I’m very happy to see you to but there’s an emergency.” Luna said, “ And I need your help.”
“For what?” Asked Marsha,
“An adventure?” asked Isla Hopefully,
Luna smiled at Isla and then nodded a little, “something like that...”
“Well what is it?” asked Aurora,
Isla looked over at Titus hopefully, and Titus smiled back.
The Princess Luna hesitated for a moment and examined them, as if to see it they were good enough and then she said “Well...”
Wind stung Celestia's face as she glided through the air, the view almost made her spill out her last meal, and she felt awful, not being able to use her wings or unicorn.
Celestia, Cadence, And Twilight were suspended on a flying train of some sort, whistling through the clouds a horrible speed, and under then was a large canyon yawning as if to swallow them up.
It felt very odd, have you been up in an engine-less train that is whipping through the air?
The Plasma Queen came to her prisoner car, where she had captured the three princesses. “About to choke up your food?” she asked in a mock tone, “Well, you must not be used be my Thunder Train!” She said the last part in a menacing tone,
No response.
“I see you don't have the stomach for jokes anymore.” said The Plasma Queen in a flat voice.
“Wheres—Luna?” Celestia managed to say,
“Luna? You mean that worthless, former—villain? Why would I want her?” The Plasma Queen sounded genuinely confused, a little.
“She's another princess,” said Cadence, “You got all of us.” she sounded like she was going to attempt to mess with the Queen of Thunder.
But The Plasma Queen was not easily challenged, “You all are the most famous, Twilight, Magical, and a history of numerously saving the kingdom. Cadence, the pony who shows true pure love, and ruled the crystal empire. Celestia! The Thousand year plus years old Princess who is of wisdom unimaginable and the queen of the sun. But Luna? Some organizations still despise her, from that whole Nightmare Moon thing or whatever.” She grinned coldly to herself at the 'nightmare' words. “and besides, were both of the same kin...”
She posed as Luna, “...she's a little immune to me and I am a little immune to her.”
Princess twilight tried to use her horn to do some magic or something, but only some purple sparks flew. The Plasma Queen had damaged their horns. They were bound to the seats of the train with transparent blue ribbons that looked thinner then paper, but they were impossible to snap. Plus Al the princesses were to weak to even try.
“What are we in anyway?” asked Celestia more to herself. But the Plasma Queen thought the question directed to her, so she responded, “Well its my thunder train, as I already mentioned before. Its a driver-less line of train cars that speeds through the clouds, high above the ground.” and Cadence looked like she was going to throw up for real, “—it runs on my power, if I was to die (Which that is very unlikely) then it would plummet down and smash to bits on your pathetic land. Or if I just wasn't in the mood for letting you live then I would let it crash anyway. But were going much faster than you ponies might want to ask.”
No one asked.
“Good. Now if you will excuse me, I will be attending to some business.” and with that, she walked into the next car behind that one.
Once the Queen of Plasma was out, Celestia looked at the other two, “She looks more then just Sombra.”
“I know right?” said Cadence. “i thought I saw that same kind of look in Queen Chrysalis's eyes.”
“And Nightmare Moon's” Twilight added, “What about discord?”
They all shook their heads.
“Maybe she sends evil spirits into ponies bodies and infests them with evil thoughts.” Celesta said, “like Luna's when she became that evil one.”
“But that was just because of her envy right?” asked Twilight,
“Maybe The Plasma Queen sent that to her.” said Cadence,
“But she said that they were a little immune to each-other.” Twilight remembered,
“A little.” said Princess Celestia, “That's why she was able to come back to the good side.”
They all were silent.
The Plasma Queen was powerful, powerful enough to take down three princesses, and capture them. But some how Princess Celestia didn't think that she was to powerful to be beaten. Luna had once made a home for four orphaned children, she had made a place for them to live, and a place for them to educate. But in later years, the princesses figured out that they were some prophesied, elemental ponies. They had ability to take control of their elements. But at this age, they could not be fully capable of all their powers.
Or could they be?
The four element ponies said that they would help Luna for anything, in return for her kindness. Now Celestia wondered if they could help them now.
Could they? Four, young, very powerful ponies, who could only use a little of their elemental powers save them? Celestia would have scoffed at the idea if she was free and wasn't in a magical victim train. But now they seemed like their only hope.
Twilight Sparkle's friends were always loyal, and she counted on them whenever they needed help. But now they were gone. Their stone statue memorials sat in Canterlot.
Suddenly, all of the princesses felt the train stop in midair. It suddenly dropped out of the sky, plummeting down to a rocky mountain below.
The princesses screamed with terror,
“She decided to drop us after all!” said Cadence,
Wind whipped into the windows and yanked at everything. Trying to fling anything not secure out the windows and down on the ground.
“Why didn't she get Shinning armor?” asked Twilight over the wind's growl. She seemed to forget that they were falling to their deaths, “Why didn't she capture shining armor?” she repeated herself.
“I don't know why!” shouted Celestia from her seat, “But I’m not in the mood to think about it over tea! We're falling for Star Swirl's sake!”
They all started screaming again.
The mountain top got closer and closer, faster and faster. The train would soon crash and splinter against the fatal rocks.
But when Celestia thought that they were going to die, the train cars halted, hovering right above a landing platform of some sort. The yank was enough so send a little filly flying through a piece of wood. But the straps kept the prisoners from flying through the roofs.
The Plasma Queen came in laughing, “You like my parking system? Always scares the whinnies out of ponies like you.”
The train came to a halt on the landing pad and the straps came off of the prisoners. Instead, large violet bubbled went around them, and they flew them outside the train and right in front of large, obsidian gates.
“Oh,” said the Plasma Queen, “By the way; welcome to my fortress.”
