Moving Into Unknown Territory
Me and my parents were trotting into a town known as Ponyville. My father Flash Flare, a murdering psychopath, had decided to move to this Ponyville town. My mother Dapple Hearts went along with him, she was oblivious to my father and his murdering spree. Then again she was oblivious to just about everything.
'Flash Flare' I thought, That name made me sick to my stomach. ' What sick pony would kill others for a living?'
I had found out that he was a murderer when I found him chopping up somepony's body getting ready to dispose of the remains. He almost killed me I would've died there too if I hadn't promised to keep it a secret and also the fact that if he had killed me Dapple Hearts would have gotten suspicious.
'About time she did' I thought.
Then my mind traveled to Dapple Hearts. 'What idiot wouldn't realize what kind of pony Flash Flare really was?' The thought of referring to them as parents made me once again sick to my stomach. That got me pondering on how I was even created. I knew how mares became impregnated, it was pretty gross but I guessed a lot of nature's ways are gross. Just one of those things? I shook my head.
'Never mind that. I need to figure out how I can get away from the murderer and the idiot known as my father and mother.' I thought to myself as something cold and painful pressed up against my muzzle.
I had run into a pole, "Twisted! Get over here you might get lost!" said Dapple Hearts.
I rolled my eyes," You know it's not that big of a town I doubt I could get lost that easily."
"What if you did get lost?!"
"I'm not going to get lo-"
"Okay stop back-talking your mother! Dapple get off the twerp" Flash Flare coldly snapped as if me and her were being put on the top of his murder victim list.
"Okay Flash Flare." I said under my breath as we walked up to the house we bought
"We're here. It's a three bedroom with a basement." Flash Flare said with a lick to his lips as he said the last word.
A chill ran down my spine as we walked in. I wondered just how many souls would be tortured here until they eventually leave their body and haunt this place. 'Maybe' I thought 'Maybe I can find a way to stop him from murdering?' I shook my head 'No, I'd only get myself killed'
The small house wasn't too bad though. It was already furnished with a roomy living room, comfy-looking bedrooms with an extremely cramped walk-in closet in each, and a pearly white kitchen full of utensils which was the best room, of course. I might not like my mother but who says I've got to like her to enjoy her cooking?!
I walked back downstairs from my room and went outside. I wanted to get as far away as I could from those sick ponies.
*GASP!* a pink pony with a high energy emitting from her had her mouth open wide.
"Oh my gosh! Hey there I'm Pinkie Pie and I've never seen you before. Ohh ohh what's your name?! Do you have a cutie mark yet?! Mine is balloons for Parties! But I bet you figured that out silly. You're hair looks funny! Oh speaking of parties you're new here and I've never met you so I need to throw you a party! It will be a "Welcome to Ponyville Stranger I've Never met Nor Do I Know Their Name" party!" she kept going and going it started giving me a headache
"Look Pinckle Py I'm kind of busy here maybe you can throw that party later." I said and motion with my gray hoof for her to go.
She snorted," My name isn't Pinckle Py silly willy! It's Pinkie Pie and how could I wait to throw a party! Might as well take away my mouth and like if that ever happened I'd probably die from not being able to speak! I have to throw you a party! Oh and can I know your name?!" she finished with puppy eyes.
I sighed in exasperation," Twisted Shadow and fine but can't the party wait until I get some food?"
She brightened up," Food?! I've got just the thing for you! You see I live in a sweet shop called Sugarcube Corner and they have the best parties AND food! So if I give you some food then while you eat I cam plan a party and planning parties is fun because you can envision how much fun it'll be!" she said with a smile so big it touched each of her ears as she dragged me toward a gingerbread-like building.
"Here we are! Hello Mrs. and Mr. Cake I have a new friend his name is Twisted Shadow he's new around ponyville and I'm going to plan a "Welcome to Ponyville Twisted Shadow" party! Oh and can we have a cupcake? I mean we can't plan a party on an empty stomach!"
Mrs. Cake tried to say something but was cut off by Pinkie
"Hey Twisty what do you think we should do for the party? Oh we can have streamers and balloons and cake and games and cake and games and more cake!"
Luckily I was able to slip out while Pinkie Pie was jabbering on about what flavor the cake would be, she even suggested a 'cake' flavor. What ever that meant.
I saw some green in the distance 'A park!' I thought to myself with a smile, hopefully it wasn't too crowded. I began galloping toward the isolated green area, buildings and ponies flying by in a blur. I slowed down a bit and began to go in a quick trot as I consumed my surroundings. I saw that the buildings were starting to thin out. This was when I realized the park wasn't a park at all I was a small forest.
That was when I seen the blur of yellow and pink streaking toward the ground, gravity, apparently, was against this creature. It was falling from Cloudsdale the cloud city my dad occasionally talked about I squinted at it 'Wait a minute. Is that a pony?!' my eyes bulged out and I began galloping as fast as I could toward it. Tree streaked past and time flew.
It was about twenty minutes until I found it her. I peeked through a bush and saw her. She had a pink mane that framed her face with a matching pink tail with a curl on the end, she also had a pale yellow coat with the softest looking feathers in all of Equestria, and to top it all off she had big cyan colored eyes that seemed to put me in a trance.
She was surrounded by an assortment of animals from squirrels to bunnies and was whispering words to them like "It's okay, there's nothing to worry about." and "Don't worry it was only some kind of boom, there's no need to be frightened" in the softest most gentle voice ever to be made by pony vocal chords, but by way she talked it seemed she was encouraging herself rather then the animals.
Suddenly there was a bright flash she seemed to snap out her trance as well as her animals. Once the light faded everypony, including me, was looking at her once blank flank. On the yellow fur, imprinted forever were three butterflies with wings that matched the color of her hair with blue bodies. Her smile was about as big as Pinkie's when she offered to take him to Sugarcube Corner.
Then the wind shifted he was once downwind but now his scent was being carried straight to them. All of the animals froze, some were making worried chattering noises. I sighed Might as well show myself now. I thought before I stepped from the bushes.
"Hey there." I said. My heartbeat accelerated suddenly and I felt sweat forming on my forehead. What's wrong with me?
"Eek" she squealed silently as I showed myself.
"Um, I-I saw you falling and I was a-afraid you might've hurt yourself..... so um, now that I know you're safe I guess I-I can go now..?" my words tripped over each other as I turned tail and ran leaving a dumbfounded filly behind.
