The Changling War

This story follows the pony: Snowriter (yes my OC) in his quest to evade the forces of the Changeling Queen Chrysalis and her Army allied with King Sombra and the remnants of Nightmare Moon.

The Evil Queen and her Allies have taken over Equestria. the Princesses have either been killed or have gone missing and the Mane Six's whereabouts are also unknown. Discord is dead.

the new Queen has been good to the ponies of Equestria, with the exception of demanding the ponies to submit to extracting Love for the Changelings to feed on.

King Sombra rules the Crystal Empire again and has demanded the destruction of the Tree of Harmony for his cooperation. Nightmare Moon rules and terrorizes the night and the Dreams of ponies all over the Nation.

Now Snowriter plans to take on this evil, but first he needs to build an army, hiding from both chrysalis, and Sombra ruling the day, and Nightmare Moon ruling the night. the only thing the resistance will have left. if they are to win a new dawn, is to find Twilight.

"Oomph." the snow white pegasus grunted as he sat down on a pile of rubble, setting his gear down next to him. his back was sore, his hooves were sore, everything was sore and ached. camping out in the badlands took a toll on him, but he had nowhere else to go. he'd been forced out of his city, when the changeling army attacked, and over-ran all of Equestria. he slicked his ice blue mane to the side and closed his eyes. the memories of the past Five years flooded into his mind.

It had started in small towns in the Mild West, smaller than Appleoosa. they were insignificant skirmishes but the towns were taken over with a quick strike from the Changeling Armies. Later reports revealed that the ponies there had been unable to fight the attackers, due to exhaustion before it even began. Then they began taking over bigger towns like Appleoosa, then Dodge Junction, Fillydelphia, Manehattan, Las Pegasus, Cloudsdale. All of them fell all at once. the same reports from the smaller towns came flooding in from everywhere else. Equestria's political hubs, the Crystal Empire, Canterlot, And Ponyville were the last in the Land to fall. Discord was turned to stone trying to save Fluttershy and was smashed.

Cadence and Shining Armour were cast into slavery with the rest of the Crystal ponies, Celestia and Luna, were dead, or cast into a void of nothingness, nopony knew, but one thig was sure, the Celestial sisters, would never return. Twilight and her Elements of Harmony were MIA. Twilight, her Elements, and the Princess' Armies fought for five long years all across Equestria and were eventually backed into Canterlot, for a last stand. Equestria fell, and the ponies were once again allowed to live their lives normally, as long as they abided by their new rulers' commands.

The white pegasus reflected on his own involvement in the war. for him, it started in Manehattan. He'd been a Soldier in Princess Twilight's 1st Airborn Division. he got his deployment orders to liberate Manehattan. As he flew in formation over the ruins of the city, APGs also known as Anti-Pegasus Guns, fired into the air and tore his squad to shreds. he crash landed in the heart of the city and his back-mounted heavy Machine guns were damaged. all he had was his Assult Rifle and his side arm, a small calibur pistol. He snuck through the ruins while all Tartarus broke loose around him, he moved from cover to cover, for days, weeks, months, fighting for his life until the city finally fell and he had to fall out. many other cities fell like that, the enemy was just too many. when Canterlot fell, he abandoned the last beacon of a free Equestria, and fled to the Badlands in search of Twilight and her Elements, and Anypony who still dared to fight the new Lords of Equestria.
