The Unlikely Trinity

It was a peaceful afternoon in Ponyville, The idle chatter of the town’s ponies and the clacking of shoes and boots on the cobbled stones of the little town's streets were the only sounds that permeated the air. All around where little houses with thatched roofs, brick and stucco walls, and happy ponies in the doorways. Vendors called to ponies from behind their stalls and in front of their carts. The smell of baked goods and fresh produce wafted from every corner.

At the edge of the town was Twilight’s Tower, where the sorcerer of Star Swirl found herself rather bored today. She had read almost every book in her large library and her student Sunset and her friends, the elements of harmony were off to see Rarity’s parents in Fillydelphia. ‘Now I know how Celestia feels at being Immortal.’ Twilight thought. The last exciting thing was Nightmare Moon’s return, and even then it lasted for twenty hours.

With a sigh she pulled out some papers that had things she needed to do today and held them in her hands. ‘Let’s see, the local school needs new books, the CMC need to clean up the mess from yesterday and a few poachers were seen heading into everfree forest.’ Twilight said in her thoughts.

“At least Discord gets something to do, I swear it’s like the criminals forget who the lord of everfree even is.” Twilight said to herself, shaking her head.

Far away in Canterlot, Celestia the diarch of the sun and one of Equestria demigoddess rulers gave a sigh of her own. ‘Luna is back and yet even then things return to being dull within a week.’ She listen to a noble yelling at another next to him. They were disputing about tree and bushes, Celestia didn’t know she tuned them out.

‘I'll give anything for something to happen… hell I’ll even take the world ending!’ She screamed in her mind as she rubbed her fingers on her head.

The nobles turn to her and each asked, “What should we do princess?” They both asked.

Celestia blinked. “Ahhh… I’m sorry but court is now even please sent your proposal to the ministry and I’ll read it in the study.” She answered.

A train was seen coming up to Canterlot with it where the ponyville school. ‘Alright class be on your best behavior, we are invited to visit the royal Canterlot museum, I shouldn’t need tell you how rare this is.” Miss Cheerilee said to the class.

“Why the art museum? What about the garden?” Dinky asked as she raised her hand to the teacher.

“There is nothing but plants there.” Scootaloo said as she pointed her finger at Dinky.

“Well that and a life size statue of Discord, the Lord of Everfree.” Sweetie Belle added in as she walked along with Scootaloo, Dinky, and Applebloom ahead of the group.

“Although the statue is...impressive, this is a chance for you fillies and colts to see old and grand art from all across Equestria.” Cheerilee said to her group as they walked to the museum entrance.

Little did anypony know, this museum would be the start of an adventure for three unlikely heroes.
