Chapter 1

The young and beautiful mare sat, she didn't speak. She was just a humble scribe for the gleaming princess of equestrian: Celestia. She droned on about her subjects and how much she missed "the dark one" as he was now referred. Platinum star yawned as she continued to write. The feather swayed back and forth, writing what seemed like endless lines. Her eyes felt heavy. She let out another yawn. Princess Celestia ceased speaking. She smiled at the young mare.

"Platinum Star, we can finish later, it is getting rather late." Celestia smiled.

"Honestly, Platinum, I know how important this is for you but, I've been working you nonstop. I beseech you, take a break." She said. Platinum shrugged as she rose to her hooves.

"Okay," She began. "But I will be back in five minutes." She stated. Celestia nodded.

"Keep safe, dearest Platinum." She said. Platinum Star nodded as she again, bowed. She slowly walked out the door as it closed behind her.

"Five minutes should be enough to grab a daisy sandwich." She thought. She began to pick up her pace as she exited Celestia's castle. A guard stopped her.

"Miss Platinum," He began. "Where are you heading?" He asked. "The royal scribe shouldn't be out this late, alone." He said. Platinum shrugged again.

"I am famished." She began. "I want to go get an oat burger, and a daisy sandwich." She stated softly. The guard nodded.

"Make sure you hurry and that you stay safe." He said. Platinum nodded as she began to trot. A cool breeze blew through her mane. "No thank you princess." She said as she let out another yawn. sat down levitating her quill and paper listening to her teacher Princess Celestia writing down almost everything the princess says. Celestia is less than pleased about the mess tirek made months ago and so she is speaking rather fast. She notices her scribe's frantic scribbling and asks "Platinum star?" "Would you care for a break?" Platinum star looks up with wide eyes.

"No thank you princess" She says tiredly.

Princess Celestia chuckles and replies "If you need me to slow down or repeat anything just ask me dear". Platinum Star looks rather annoyed at her mentor's lack of faith in her. "But Princess" She whines. "I got my cutie mark in being a scribe". "I can handle anything that involves writing, reading, or organization". She says proudly. Princess Celestia looks almost hurt.

"My dear Platinum i did not mean to upset you i only want what's best for you." She says. Platinum Star then starts to raise her voice at the goddess.

"Princess Celestia i have been at writing school ever since i could speak fluent english". Celestia looks takenaback at the young mare's statement. Then it occurred to her.

"Listen Platinum my dear." she says plainly. "Some time ago i had a magneficent student who was just like you: Stubborn, smart, ,bookworm , and a bit of an egghead."

"B-but princess" Platinum says before Celestia interrupts her.

"Now now" Celestia says. "You didn't let me finish. She is now a very important pony and has ended many wars even before they have even begun." "Her name is Twilight sparkle".

Platinum star looks at celestia with utter amazement mouth agape. "The princess of friendship!?" She shouts. "I have read all of her books!" Celestia smiles at this.

"Well then Platinum you have very big shoes to fill but i have faith in you." Celestia says smiling. "you are relieved of your scribing duties and henceforth i require you to go to "Old ol'neigh to make some friends." "You may return on holidays for a period of twelve hours then you must return to Old ol'neigh. Do i make myself clear Platinum?" She says sternly. Platinum let out a heavy sigh and said

"Yes princess celestia i will not fail you."

Celestia smiled and said in a rather cheerful voice "Excellent then, You should get packing and say your goodbyes".

Platinum star bows and nods her head and then she trots out unable to control her emotions anymore she begins to cry.

As platinum runs past the royal guard they are all takenaback to see her crying like that so they begin to follow her. "Stop!" The captain shouts. Platinum then whimpers and slows down. "Are you alright Ms. Star?" the captain says putting his wing around her. She turns her head into his side and begins to cry even harder. A few minutes pass and she finally begins to talk still sobbing.

"Princess celestia is sending me away to make friends! What should i do!?" she cries. The guards chuckle. The captain turns his head and they all stop. "Well Platinum i think you should turn around." The captain says. Platinum star looks up and sees the glorious white mare with the radiant mane and tail.

Platinum and Celestia lock eyes. Celestia runs over and wraps her wings around her pupil and begins to sob.

"Listen my dear Platinum." Celestia begins. You are 'destined for greatness that you can not even comprehend." Platinum scoffs at that.

"Twilight sparkle didn't believe me when i told her". Celestia spoke softly. "But now she's the princess of friendship."

"Listen Princess" Platinum says. "I'm nopony important i'm just a scribe". Celestia looks very hurt at what Platinum just said.

"P-platinum you are a somepony who has a very important role here in equestria. Everypony's roll is important here in our land." Celestia said.

Platinum sighed. "Princess please forgive me for storming out before it's just because i... I feel like nopony cares about me anymore."

Celestia looked at her scribe, no her friend and spoke softly as she said "Please listen to my words Platinum. A few years back i sent another student of mine away. My top student:Twilight sparkle. She now is the princess of friendship and has ended many wars before they have even begun." Celestia said again and this time Platinum star seemed to get the message.

"So your saying i'm going to be a princess!?" Platinum says enthusiastically.

Celestia sighs and replies. "Lets just focus on the task at hand right now."

"What's a hand?" Platinum replies.

"Honestly Platinum" Celestia begins. "I have no idea".
