Second Chances

New Planet Vegeta. Not much remained of the once beautiful world; the battle that had taken place beforehand had made sure of that. Only one being remained on the planet, and he had no plans of dying today. Despite it being night, the light of Comet Camori illuminated the sky as bright as if was midday. The one being on the rock of a planet was greatly injured, and was heavily bleeding out of his stomach area. As the being continued walking forward, he breathed a sigh of relief as he spotted what he was looking for; a space pod. Tentatively he opened the pod and climbed inside, groaning with the effort it took to be able to sit down inside the craft. Once his breathing returned to normal, he reached up, pushed a few buttons on the control pad, and breathed a sigh of relief as the pod closed and took off into space, barely escaping the planet in time to see it destroyed by the oncoming comet. As the ship sailed through space, the being began to speak to himself. "Man, I hope I survive this. I wish that I could be myself, instead of that monster I become. Heh, I should thank Kakarot for defeating that side of me because it seems that as a result, my true self has been able to come out. Unfortunately, I have no idea how long it will last before that monster rears his ugly head again. I swear, whatever planet I land on, I'm going to ask for a second chance... that's all I need... a second chance..." he continued to speak to himself, but it became an incoherent mutter as his fatigue caught up with him, and he finally fell asleep.

Meanwhile, in another part of the universe, on a lone planet called Equis, something much worse was occurring. Lord Tirek, a centaur that had been trapped in Tartarus, had escaped and, with Discord's help, had managed to absorb everypony's magic, except for the alicorn's. After finding out that a fourth alicorn by the name of Twilight Sparkle possessed all the alicorn magic, he turned on Discord, absorbed his magic, and was now facing Twilight in a magic battle. As the battle continued, however, Tirek soon realized that he and Twilight were equally matched. As he picked himself up out of the rubble, he stared at the purple alicorn. "It appears we are at an impasse," he said with a smile. "How 'bout a trade, Princess Twilight?" and with a snap of his fingers, all of Twilight's friends appeared, each one floating in a bubble. "Their release for all the alicorn magic in Equestria," he declared, a smug grin on his face. Twilight gasped. All of her friends began shouting against the offer, telling her they weren't worth it. Discord sat in his bubble, facing away from Twilight. All the arguing was beginning to get on Tirek's nerves, and he shouted, "Enough! I want an answer, and I want it n-"

Tirek was suddenly interrupted by something slamming into the back of his head, sending him crashing to the ground. With Tirek's concentration broken, the bubbles popped, and all of Twilight's friends were freed from his clutches. Twilight's eyes followed the object that had hit Tirek, and watched as it crashed into the ground, creating a small crater. she walked up to the strange object, looking at it curiously. She jumped back as the object suddenly opened, and she was immediately hit with scent of blood, causing her to gag slightly. Twilight watched as an unusual creature crawled out of the object, groaning and clutching its midsection. Upon further inspection, Twilight noticed the creature appeared to be bleeding quite heavily. Twilight immediately ran up to the creature and looked at his injury, and the creature stopped and looked down at her. Twilight looked up into the creature's eyes and gave him a 'don't move' look as she used her magic, and the creature's injury lit up briefly and when the light faded, the creature's wound was completely healed. After checking his midsection to be sure it was healed, he looked down at Twilight and said, "Thank you for healing me. Who are you?"

As Twilight opened her mouth to speak, Tirek finally stood up and looked around, shouting, "Who dares to strike me from behind!?"

Twilight stared at the enormous centaur, shivering with fear. To her surprise, however, the being stood up, looked at Tirek, and said, "I did, you big brute, and if you wanna fight, I'll gladly take you on."

Twilight looked up at the creature and asked, "Who are you, and why would you wanna take on somepony like Tirek?"

He looked down at her and said, "My name is Broly, and i'm fighting him because I can already tell he's evil. I also feel like helping you because you helped me." Broly turned to face Tirek and said, "I'm ready if you are, ya big, ugly brute!"

Tirek started running toward him, saying, "I will make you pay for your insults!"

A whitish blue aura flared up around Broly as he said, "Come on, then, if you think you can take me!" Broly then dashed at Tirek, slamming his fist into Tirek's stomach, causing him to collapse on the ground, groaning in pain. Broly landed in front of Tirek, looked back at Twilight, and said, "So, who are all of you?"

Twilight gawked at Broly in disbelief until she finally managed to compose herself and said, "My name is Twilight Sparkle, and these are my friends Spike, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, and Discord." She pointed a hoof to each of her friends as she spoke, indicating who was who.

Broly nodded to each of them and said, "Nice to meet you all. So, what do you plan on doing with this guy here?", pointing to Tirek.

"Well, I do have an idea, but you will have to hold him off until we're ready. Do you think you can do that, Broly?" asked Twilight.

Broly nodded and turned back toward Tirek. "Let's change the venue, shall we?", he said, grabbing Tirek by the horns and throwing him far into the distance. Everypony watched as Broly flew off into the distance in pursuit of Tirek.
