It was a pleasant spring afternoon in Equestria, the birds sang and the wind blew a calming breeze  
Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy were having a nice picnic together and were waiting for their friends to arrive.  
“I sure hope Twilight and the others will come here soon, I'm starving!” said Pinkie, licking her lips at the thought of eating.  
“Oh I am sure they will be here soon” chimed Fluttershy “In the meantime, um Pinkie we are alone here and I was wondering if you don't mind... can we um...”  
In that instant Pinkie shouted “wait a second there, I know what you are going to ask me and the answer is no!”  
“But Pinkie, I always wanted to do it”  
“No you didn't, ugh here we go again!”  
“what are you talking about?” asked Fluttershy confused  
“I am talking about that once again some idiot fan fiction writer is at the helm again, probably a teenager who with a hormone imbalance!”  
The author took a step back from his computer, he could not believe what appeared before his eyes.  
He was indeed a teenage boy, and quite insecure about his own personal lifestyle.  
He then decided to run a virus scan then turn off his computer, he was using Windows 7 Home Premium and was writing with Microsoft office 2010.  
He saved his document and shut down his computer after the virus scan came up negative, he then booted up again but this time booted into Ubuntu Linux which he had on standby.  
From there he opened his fanfic with Libreoffice and the last line he wrote was “In the meantime, um Pinkie we are alone here and I was wondering if you don't mind... can we um...”  
He then started to write “yes Fluttershy?” and began to write Pinkies response that would inevitably lead to a teenage hormone driven clopfic but then Pinkie said “Oh no, not again. Look buddy it doesn't matter if you use windows 7 or Ubuntu, Microsoft office or Libreoffice, I wont let you turn this story into some sick fantasy fic!”  
He then quickly ran to his trusty Macbook hoping an Apple product would help him.  
But no she followed him there too, he was using Apples own iWork but it was to no avail.  
He shut the Macbook down then prepared to shut down his main computer that was still running Ubuntu.  
“You know you must be a really smart guy to know your way around all three operating systems, though to be honest I like this Ubuntu the best, Windows is just too blue and OSX is too grainy. I think that Ubuntu is so pleasant in its nice orange color schemes, though Unity needs some work still”  
The author could not believe his eyes, not only was the fic practically writing itself and Pinkie talking but she was computer savvy.  
“Hey look I don't know what your personal problem is mister but you should learn some manners and respect!” spat Pinkie  
“What are you talking about?” chimed Fluttershy seemingly unaware of what was happening  
“Oh thats right, you don't know about the human world do you. That 4th wall thing is such a bore”  
The author without any concern for his computer then shut it down manually, he was flabbergasted, he left his computer be as he went downstairs.
He lived at home with his parents, his father was still at work and his mother was washing dishes.  
His mother spotted him and saw the bewildered look on his face “whats wrong Tommy?”  
Tommy the author just smiled innocently and said “nothing, say mom got an aspirin?”  
“Sure” said his mother, Tommy got a glass of water and quickly took the aspirin.  
He sat down in a chair in the living room thinking over what in the heck just happened.  
Tommy was 16, Caucasian with short brown hair and brown eyes, he was a bit lanky but his mind made up for his lack of physical skills.  
Sadly that min d was still filled with teenage desires, untamed and still a little messed up.  
He decided to turn on the television, hoping to find something none pony related to calm his nerves after seeing what happened.  
He actually did not like My Little Pony Friendship is Magic and was anything but a Brony.  
He was only making his clopfic because he wanted to troll a few of his friends who were fans of the show, plus he wanted to have some fun with his darker desires.  
He knew none of his Brony friends would like a clopfic, though he would get a laugh from their reactions.  
As he surfed through the channels he soon realized something, every channel was now The Hub and all were playing an episode of My Little Pony Friendship is magic.  
Tommy immediately turned off the TV, he wouldn't be caught dead watching the show. Sure his mother might get a laugh from it but she may let loose the information to his father who would have seen the Fox News Red eye report on Bronies being the conservative he was.  
He quickly went upstairs, he then looked on and was shocked to find his desktop computer came back on seemingly by itself.  
He came up to it and saw it was logged back into Ubuntu, and he saw what looked to be a Picture of Pinkie Pie staring right back at him.  
“Oh hello!” she said, talking through his desktops speakers  
“Do you like what I did to your computer?”  
He wondered what she was talking about, but soon realized that his entire GUI interface was now shades of pink.  
“Welcome to Pinkie Pie Linux!” she shouted “I dumped your windows section and devoted your whole computer to using Linux, you will thank me later!”  
“wait a second, you can't do that. All my porn I downloaded was on there!”  
“Oh yes, that stuff is bad for you hope you know. No wonder why you wanted to do a clopfic you have one sick mind!”  
Pinkie tapped her hoof against his computer screen then said “oh cool, LCD!”  
The pink pony then dashed to the launcher on the side of the screen and opened up his file manager and said “go to your pictures folder, I got a nice surprise for you!”  
Tommy did so with dread, and before him the entire pictures folder was filled with nothing but pictures of Pinkie Pie.  
“This is why I call it Pinkie Pie Linux!”  
Tommy then shut off the computer once more by slamming its power button, he then grabbed his copy of Windows 7 in hopes of wiping the computer clean.  
In a few hours he had windows 7 back up and running and he saw no traces of the pink pony so far.  
But the long hours waiting for Windows 7 to install and be ready took its toll on him.  
He would reformat his Macbook later on tomorrow but for now his desktop was at the top of his priorities.  
Fearing the pink pony would return he unplugged his desktop that night, and went into a restless sleep.
The next day he awoke very tired, but he had school that day.  
Both his parents greeted him in the kitchen as he grabbed his pop tarts.  
“morning son” said his father  
“hey dad” Tommy replied  
“your mom said you were having troubles the other night, anything wrong?”  
“no dad, just my computer.”  
“better not be the Macbook, those things cost lots of money”  
“I know, its fine dad”  
“good” his father said, soon Tommy headed out for school.  
He knew that his Brony friends were going to be there, they gave him wide smiles and greeted him.  
“hello Tommy!” said Sam his best friend amongst the Bronies  
“hey Sam, look I don't feel like talking today as I didn't sleep that well”  
“oh sorry about that” said Sam “hey want to go over to my house later”  
“are you going to force me to watch that stupid pony show of yours?”  
“well maybe, but don't worry its out of fun I know you don't like it.”  
“yeah, whatever” said Tommy with a shrug and a sigh  
Tommy humored his friend quite a lot, he honestly did not want to watch the series at all and he already knew that possibly the pink pony might stalk him again.  
His classes began, and he opened his science book as that was the first one on his list.  
But there she was, Pinkie Pie who somehow followed him here.  
“Hello!” she said “you know this science book is kind of wrong, my friend Twilight looked at it and she saw some holes in it”  
Twilight Sparkle soon appeared, he had hoped that this was all due to sleep deprivation but it seemed like the characters from the show were following him.  
In Home Ec. he saw someone with a Rarity T-shirt in front of him who just glared him grudgingly and he swore that Rainbow Dash flew by him in the lunchroom while he was eating.  
He only knew the characters names because of his Brony friends, he just kept on seeing them and it interrupted his school work.  
After lunch he went to see the school nurse, she gave him a look over but detected no fever.  
He finished the day but decided not to join Sam, instead he went home.  
He soon saw his fathers car in his driveway as he got off his bus, his father usually got off a little earlier on Tuesdays so this was no surprise.  
However the real surprise laid within, his father was waiting for him at the door and as soon as he came in his father said “son we need to talk”  
Tommy wondered why his father seemed so stern, but soon it was answered by his father pulling out his Macbook.  
“you left this on, it was on youtube and it was playing that Pony show... son are you gay?”  
“no dad, honest I don't like that show!”  
“I hope not, I watched PJTV's report on these 'brownie' things and I am disgusted by it. Really gown men liking a pony show, thats too much”  
“well I know a few Bronies and they are not that bad”  
“yeah I know that Sam is one, hes not right in the head and I really don't want you to hang around him.”  
“whatever you want dad, look I am planning to reformat the Macbook as its been giving me trouble especially with youtube.”  
“better not be lying to me” said his father  
“no I'm not, don't worry I will get it all fixed”  
His father nodded and let his son have the Macbook.  
Tommy soon went upstairs and quickly reformatted the computer.  
He did not know what to do now, he wanted to see if his main computer was still okay now as he carefully turned it on.  
To his delight Windows 7 was still on there and its default settings were still intact.  
He decided that he would install LibreOffice on Windows 7 before trying Microsoft office again.  
He then started to write, to see if he could duplicate what happened the day before but this time he wanted to write a gorefic and soon he began.
It was a pleasant day in Ponyville, Twilight Sparkle was going to Fluttershys cottage. She got a letter from the timid yellow Pegasus that read “hey Twilight I got something I want to show you, that is if you don't mind”  
Twilight then knocked on Fluttershys door and soon a net came down on her followed by a large anvil that knocked her out.  
Twilight awoke after an undetermined amount of time, she was strapped to a table and looked up and saw Fluttershy holding a large butcher knife and she saw a chainsaw sitting on a table.  
Just then Pinkie Pie jumped in and yelled “oh no not again!”  
She stomped her hooves and said “first you make Fluttershy sexually obsessed and now you want to make her into a crazy! Geez, at least Cupcakes had some merit to it as I am a little random. But make a gorefic with Fluttershy as the killer, are you crazy?”  
She rolled her eyes and said “you saw Shed.MOV didn't you?”  
Pinkie then jumped from the page in LibreOffice to his desktop and said “its go time now baby, I am tired of your stupid mis characterization you really got to watch the show. Applejack tried to get you to watch it on your Macbook but you reformatted it.”  
“yeah, when Pinkie told me it was an Apple I didn't understand at first but then she told me in your world Apple is not just a fruit” chimed Applejack  
“You have got to be kidding me” said Tommy  
“Hey buddy we are not the ones who were writing this stuff!”  
Tommy then shook his head, he then cried “dammit, now I got to reformat this computer again!”  
Frustrated he shut down the computer manually once more and re installed Windows 7 once more.  
But to his horror when he booted in Pinkie Pie was there staring back at him.  
“Oh not this time buddy!”  
She then hopped around the screen, she opened up a terminal and jumped inside.  
The screen flickered as his windows 7 soon transformed into Pinkie Pie Linux, she then installed and opened up Google chrome and went to youtube and began playing the first episode of My Little Pony Friendship is Magic.  
“Just watch the show already!” cried Pinkie  
“No, only dumb people watch that show!” spat Tommy as he closed off Google chrome  
“what about Sam?”  
“Hes just going into a phase, he will begin to come back out of your show soon enough”  
Pinkie tapped her hooves “I wouldn't be too sure, he is a pretty devoted Brony”  
“look you, I promise not to write any more of my nonsense okay can you please leave me alone now, you almost got me into trouble with my dad”  
“Oh that guy makes me mad, your father is a real jerk you know”  
“He is so rude” said Rarity who jumped onto the screen “that ruffian needs to be taught a lesson”  
“I think I am gonna prank him later on” said Rainbow Dash who also flew into the screen.  
“get off my computer you stupid ponies, I don't like your show and I don't want to watch it!”  
“bet you never saw it” said Pinkie “Hey I can fix that”  
The pink pony then opened up chrome again and played the series opener once more.  
Tommy tried to shut it down, but nothing worked even the power button did not work.  
He then unplugged his desktop but it was still somehow on and playing the episode.  
“please turn it off, I can't have my dad come in and find I am watching this!”  
“Don't worry to him it will look like you are watching Family Guy or something” said Pinkie  
“okay fine I will watch your stupid show, just leave me alone if I don't like it!”  
“okay” said Pinkie
Tommy then looked on as the episodes played before him, as he looked on he actually found himself not finding it that bad of a show.  
For him like most people the name “My Little Pony” meant a show about horses who had tea parties and magic fairy princesses but he found out that this show was actually surprisingly entertaining.  
He actually started to enjoy it, he could not believe it but he was actually liking this series.  
His mind raced, he did not believe he could like such a thing, to him it was just a fad that everyone but him and a few others were getting into.  
Now he understood the power of these ponies, the almost magnetic attraction people seemed to have to this show.  
Pinkie Pie smiled at him and nodded “there you see, was that so bad?”  
“no it wasn't” said Tommy amazed  
“tomorrow you should go to your friends place, don't worry I will help you out here get your parents to understand” chimed Pinkie  
Tommy nodded and drifted off to sleep after dinner.  
The next morning came and he went off to school, afterwards he joined Sam and told him that he now saw the show and actually liked it.  
Tommy gave a call home and his mother seemed to already know, he had figured that Pinkie must have found a way of telling her knowing that the pink pony seemed to be everywhere you least suspected her.  
So he spent most of that afternoon watching more My Little Pony Friendship is Magic episodes, he later returned home and his father was there once more.  
“Son, today I had some Rainbow haired pony somehow cause some havoc with my iPhone and I learned that my thoughts on that pony show were wrong” he said   
“so were mine” said Tommy “I guess now you don't mind me hanging around Sam”  
“no, but I hate to think what some other kids might do now”  
Tommy worried a bit too, even though a good percentage of the school was now populated by a large amount of Bronies there were bullies out there who picked on a good percentage of them.  
He himself never got that bad, sure he might have been a hormone imbalanced jerk but he did not truly pick on anyone who liked the show, sure he made fun of them but never using any strong language.  
But now it was time to be on the other end of the taunting, Tommy knew full well that this was only the beginning of his story.  
Tommy nodded and then ate his dinner, he watched more of the show and hoped his worries were unjustified.
The next day Tommy went back to school, things were uneventful until lunchtime when one of the bullies Jack started to pick on Sam.  
Tommy looked on as Jack began calling his friend some very nasty names.  
But that was only the beginning, the next day he learned that Robert one of his Brony classmates was beaten severely by his father.  
Robert was a closet Brony, he dared not show off he was a fan of the show as his farther would consider it homosexual behavior and his father was very intolerant of anything remotely gay.  
Roberts father was in jail now but the damage was done.  
Tommy knew a liking for the show was not anything like that, even when he didnt like the show he did not consider it anything worth beating someone up about.  
Tommy thought his life over a little at that point, he wanted to make up for being such a perverse jerk but he did not know how.  
He sat at his computer and pondered and Pinkie Pie wondered onto the screen.  
“I know what happened” she said sadly, her normally bubbly voice was now somber and regretful “I am so sorry”  
“its not your fault” said Tommy “our world is not like yours, we have so many people here who just dont understand”  
“I know, I wish I could do more but that is not in my power.”  
“But you already did a lot, whats keeping you from entering our world?”  
“the 4th wall” said Pinkie “yes I know what it is and I know how to transverse it but it still binds me to my world.”  
“Is there any way you can break it?” Tommy inquired  
“Partially, only a few tricks and leaps here and there. Rainbow Dash did it but only for a short time. I can too but its a very tight window between our world and yours”  
“I see, I wish there was something I can do”  
“Oh but there is, you see you might have a perverted mind but you can change it to something better! We all have the ability to change ourselves for the better but its only up to that person to want it”  
“I think I want it” said Tommy “I no longer want to be what I was, I want to be a better person. Can you help me?”  
“Yes, but only by so much. Its up to you to follow up”  
Tommy nodded and soon Pinkie began to aid him.  
It took a few months, it was not going to be easy nor quick.  
But Tommy began to make himself a better person, he actually began to write decent quality fics now and he got the approval of his fellow Bronies.  
Robert had recovered and Tommy quickly became his closest friend.  
His life was still rough as he still had bullies to deal with, but Rainbow Dash aided him to become less meek.  
Tommy was ready to take on the world now, Pinkie smiled at him approvingly.  
He then wanted to have the ponies come to his world and within a few seconds all of the main characters of the show appeared before him all adorned with the elements of harmony.  
“you did it!” said Pinkie with glee “but you really dont need our help anymore, you made so much progress and wed are all so proud of you!”  
“But why did you want me to help break you out?”  
“Because you had the power and it was up to you to embrace it” said Princess Celestia “we really do not want to interfere with your world as its up to the rest of you to make the same decisions you did.”  
“to embrace a little happiness” said Tommy  
Celestia nodded “you are a good student as Pinkie suggested”  
The characters all went back into their world as Tommy could not stop smiling.  
For the rest of his life Tommy would remember all this and became a humanitarian and eventually got married and had kids who would grow up to My Little Pony Friendship is Magic but that is another story.
The end
The real author of this story TheMadOne took a little pride in what he just wrote, it was a short story yes but length really doesnt matter.  
He was about to close off LibreOffice when he saw something on his screen.  
“Hello!” it read, on the side of the screen stood Pinkie waving at him.  
MadmanRB got off his chair, he quickly saved his story and submitted it to many websites like Equestriadaily and FiMfiction and wondered what in the heck he just got himself into.
