//-------------------------------------------------------// Yellow Butterfly -by Bro Dash- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Dancing in the Gym //-------------------------------------------------------// Dancing in the Gym Fluttershy, Rarity, and Twilight were at your local dance hall once again. Fluttershy weren't dancing, but she liked to watch others dance. Routinely, some would say seeing the same dances over and over again in a class room would get old quick. Not to Fluttershy. She drinks it in like a glass of refreshing water after working a field for an entire hot day. She had to give Applejack credit to that exaggeration. But it was just so worth the watch. The dance instructor dismissed everyone, and Twilight and Rarity grabbed their bags, heading into the locker room along with the many other mares. Fluttershy waited, as usual, and when Twilight and Rarity got out, they began heading on out. "So, what now? Coffee and lunch?", Twilight asked. "Brunch? Ooo! I'm up for brunch!", Rarity piped. "What about you, Flutershy?", Twilight asked. "Brunch sounds fine." "Brunch it is!", Twilight announced. "Hmm. Best place?", she asked. "The Coffee Bean!", Rarity said. "Alright then, to the Coffee Bean.", Twilight finalized. "Hold on.", fluttershy stopped them. She felt her mane, finding a large portion of her mane hanging far lower than the other side. "I think one of my manepins fell out in the gym." "We'll wait here so you can go find it." "Thanks Twilight!", Fluttershy hurried back into the gym. Yes! Pulled it off with aplomb. Fluttershy fished said pin from her sun dress's only pocket, and fixed her mane. Then looked out over the empty, quiet gym. With a deep breath,s he smiled. Placing her feet in a familiar position, she took step after step. A turn, a step, a turn, a step. Choreography and beauty. Rose her coat on end. Digging deeper into her beautiful fantasy, she created herself a stage, and closed her eyes. The crowd, silent, the music, of a trio of musicians in the corner. A piano, a violin, and cello.A waltz played on the strings, and she were excited with her sudden glee. So many eyes on her, yet she did not care. It wouldn't stop her, not now. It would nto make her fears spike like needles. Just her, a stage, and dancing shoes. Halfway through her reverie, she heard a noise nto associated with any of said fictional stage, and gasped, bolting without a glance at it's origin. She had a door between her and freedom. And a deep blush she couldn't hide from the girls. Oh raspberries, how was she going to explain this to the girls? What could she make up? There they were. Rarity and Twilight conversing over groceries, when Fluttershy returned. She quieted her footsteps and slowed, trying her best to reclaim her dignity and false features before the door reopened behind her. Both Twilight and Rarity turned to the door, expecting Fluttershy, and she was there, yes. But another face as well. They didn't recognize him, and also didn't pay much heed. In fact, Twilight was about to ask Fluttershy if she were ready to go yet. She instead fell silent as the stallion approached...Fluttershy. "Excuse me that was..." Fluttershy shrunk, her face turning a blood red. "I can't even figure out what to say, that was beautiful." Fluttershy felt a bit of her nervousness sluff off. Confidence boosts are always good stress relievers. But did he really say it was beautiful? She was a self-taught dancer, and-and she knew only three dance routines. She paused and took a breath. "You...you really th-think so?" "Yeah, yeah. I've been dancing for quite a few years now, and it's very rare to come upon something such as...that. I'm Cloud Waltz, what's your name?" Fluttershy could swear anyone could notice her shaking. Or at least she felt liek she was shaking. She didn't know. She felt her entire head burn almost like fire from embarrassment and nervousness. She didn't know what to say. He asked her a question, should she answer? Hmm...should she? A quick glance behind, and she nervously turned her gaze back to the grey pegasus. "I-I'm F-F-Fluttershy." "Heh, you're kind of cute, blushing like that." Fluttershy didn't even know she could blush any harder. Now she did. "I'd like to get to know you better,", he said slowly, "Say, over lunch sometime?" Fluttershy could hear her heart beating in her ears like a bass drum. She froze up. Couldn't say anything, could barely breathe, and to be frank, she was mroe drowned by fear than embarrassment, and she opened ehr mouth to voice her distress and run, yet, she took a breath and spoke instead. "S-sure.", she responded. She hit herself mentally. Why? Why would you agree?! "How about the White Magnolia down the street? An horu from now? Maybe tomorrow?" "An hour sounds absolutely wonderful darling, she'll be there!", Rarity inserted herself, casually pulling Fluttershy away fromt eh stallion. "However, we must be going, or else we'll be late. I apologize to tear her away from you." "No no, that's understandable. An hour.", he repeated. Then looked at his outfit. "Yeah, I should change too. I'll see you then.", he winked at Fluttershy before spreading his massive wings and taking off. Like a beast with a giant's wings, Rarity would put it. The moment he was out of earshot, Twilight took a deep breath. Screaming out of glee. "You just got asked out!! Fluttershy you've got a date!", she shook the vanilla pegasus. Whom in turn shivered once, losing her intense blush. The feelign returned to her cheeks, finally. "Oh darling! I'm so happy for you!", Rarity said in a pish posh mood. "And...", she paused, dusting a bit of dirt off of Fluttershy's yellow sun dress. "You're perfect for any date. Right now. At this moment. It's like Celestia gave you the personal hookup, so to speak." "B-but!", Fluttershy tried. Twilight gripped her tightly. "Oh my god, Rainbow Dash and Applejack aren't going to believe this! Pinkie Pie might, though, I think she once said she was expecting exactly this to happen. Funny, she said something about dancing that day...", Twilgith fell off, tapping her chin in deep ponder. Fluttershy weakly pushed away from Twilight and immediately shrunk again. "Girls, I...I don't want to go!" Twilight gasped. "No! You lie..." "No, I don't...want to go on a date with him. He..." "Fluttershy.", Rarity took a breath. "Remember what I said during one of our Spa trips? Remember. Number one thirty seven." "But you swore!", Fluttershy blushed deeper. "Oh, darling, I swore never to tell." "But...but....", Fluttershy tried. "One thirty seven!", Rarity said nefariously. "What's one thrity seven?" Fluttershy whined, unsure of what to do. "Small agreement we made voer our one hundred and thirty seventh spa trip together.", Rarity began explaining. "She's not a dater, or someone to really get out of the house, so I struck a bargain with her. If she ever found a stallion that was beautiful or hot, no matter what the situation, and other meandering clauses and conditions, she has to, if asked out by him, go. And stay for the entire date." "That's...deep.", Twilight said, though speechless elsewise. "Oh, indeed." "So. By what I gather this was to be secret. So what's yours?" "Second condition, condition of revealing, her side of the bargain can be shared, only upon the event that her side of the bargain was plausible, whereas mine stays secret until my end of the bargain is deemed plausible." Twilight let her jaw drop. "I need to spend time with you girls more often, this is some juicy gossip." "Oh, yes it is. Now, fluttershy....", Rarity paused. Fluttershy were gone. "Oh dear. I really don't want to hold up my second end of that bargain. If she doesn't go, I fear this will have a negative impact on our friendship." "What?", Twilight asked, unbelieving. "We made a promise.", Rarity shrugged. "Might as well follow through with it. Let's hurry to the coffe bean, grab a drink, then find fluttershy." "Why coffee first?", Twilight asked. "Shouldn't this be more important?" "Secondary condition." Twilight groaned. "We cannot influence the other character in their side of the bargain. She has to make the decision on her own, if she is unsure." "Any other part of this bargain, like buying her some kind of insane quadruple triple vanilla coffee?" "Quadruple quadruple triple vanilla." Twiligth opened her mouth to speak, then shut it, if only for a moment. "Ok, now I know you're lying." "I wish I were! Quadruple quadruple triple vanilla coffees are so expensive.", she lisped, holding her hand out. "So...is there...anything else about that bargain?" "Nothing I'm allowed to say." "Nothing?" "Twilight. No." "So, one Thirty seven, huh? Do you two have this secret thing where you two make secret negotiations, bargains, agreements, and promises or something?" Rarity smiled. Twilight recalled the first day she dragged Fluttershy to the spa. Then began counting. Twilight opened her mouth to speak, and Rarity tutted, holding a finger up. "Shh." Twilight closed her mouth. Then opened it again. "No!" "Please!" "No. No is no." "But...but this...it's so..." "What number did you get?", Rarity asked. "Two hundred eighty seven." "Let's keep it that way." "Why, is it wrong?", Twilight asked. "I will not tell." "Then it's obviously wrong! How many?" "I will not tell." "Curse you, Rarity!", Twilight yelled. Then gave up witha  huff, crossing her arms. "Oh, coffee.", Rarity began towards the cafe jauntily.
