//-------------------------------------------------------// A Foxes Tale -by Paradox Wolf- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 Fell from the heavens //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 Fell from the heavens I had watched them get blown away from my paws and lost in the dark clouds... I was alone and afraid sinking towards the ground at uncontrollable speeds... It finally came into sight as I emerged from the shadow clouds being pelted with rain from the uncontrollable weather... Angel stared out the window waiting for it to appear, he had always loved the lightning so when it rained he waited for all the others to sleep but he never got a moment of peace because some one was always there with him to watch the rain. A rabbit named Jack and a fox pup going by Tomas, Jack was the closest animal that Angel actually trusted as a friend, and the fox pup was there to also watch the lightning and listen to the rain because it calmed him down during times of distress. "Ah'll never understand why ya love the stormy weather so much mate." Jack hopped a little closer and pointed to the clouds. "All ya do is stare at the bloody clouds all the time." "I don't understand why you always have to be here to annoy me, I just want to enjoy my thunder in peace." Retorted Angel, he was happy his friend was here he just wished it was a little more silent. "How come ya never complain about Tommy ol boy over here." He grabbed Thomas who had finally managed to get back to sleep in the window seal, Angel had nearly forgotten his presence to begin with. "Ahh..." Thomas groaned before rubbing his eyes. "W-what did I miss." The fox was more of a day type but did enjoy the night... At least when he could stay up to enjoy it. "The same as before, a couple of garbage lightning strikes that weren't worth ya pelt." "What's wrong with my pelt?" Thomas was different from other foxes seeing to how he was completely white and had green eyes, it was very useful during winter but the other three seasons were hectic for him. "Yes Jack, what is wrong with his pelt?" Angel shot him an annoyed glare. "Nothin I swear, Its perfect!" Jack did not want to get into trouble with pups parents again... Never again... "I'm just sayin that nothin interesting is going to happen!" "Well then why are you here?" The fox asked with curiosity. "Why would you be here then?" Jack was an outcast to other rabbits and bunnies for a multitude of reasons. First was that he 'talked funny' and had trouble pronouncing complicated words, next was that he was known to eat not just plants but this flesh of his fallen foes which was mainly old corpses in the forest, and the last and main reason was that he loved to fight. He was known to fight over the smallest of matters ever since he was nothing but a young rabbit wondering why his mother never came out of the forest... He also got into a lot of trouble but some bunny by the name of Angel was always there to stand up for him. Nothing was ever the same when he found out what had happened to his mother and who had done it... "Because Angels my only fri-" A loud crash ringed from outside causing utter chaos to unfold with in. All the animals in the house awoke to the sound as it shook the ground beneath them as knocked bird houses down, threw mice out of there holes, and caused Flutter Shy to run down to make sure that none of the animals had been hurt. Everyone turned towards Jack. "I'm just sayin this now... Whatever just happened, it wasn't my fault this time." Every animal in the building started sneering, growling, and whatever noise they could convey to show their anger at the rabbit. I landed... Or crashed, same difference. I was on the ground at least but know I'm pretty sure that most of my bones are broken... I looked to my right to see a tree with lights coming out of it, hopefully its another fox. If so they might be able to save me, why do I feel so tired all of suddenly and... why can't I remember my name or why I was falling? Well, I'll just have to figure that out when I wake up... "Why does everyone suddenly blame me when it was just a bloody lightning shocking lightning strike from outside and yes I know I used lightning twice in a sentence!" "No one started blaming you yet, they just growled and sneered at you, anyway should someone go out there to check and see if anything's wrong or blown up outside?" Thomas had jumped down away from the window to his parents to see if they were fine, oddly enough they never asked if he was fine but he didn't really notice. Or care. Angel hopped down and went to Flutter Shy to notify her of the current position but she was to busy checking on everything to notice her pet. Angel eventually noticed this and came up with a way to get her and everyone's attention, he was going to go outside and check what had happened. He hopped his way over to the kitchen and grabbed a butter knife before heading towards the door to investigate. He wouldn't normally go out and do stupid things but it was like something was calling to him, almost begging him to check the site. He hopped silently made his escape into the stormy night. When he arrived outside he expected every thing to be fine but it was quite the opposite as the fences and chicken coops were knocked over and on the border of the Everfree was a crater where a small body mass rested and yellow eyes watched waiting to make its move, but not two seconds later it leaped ready to take its unconscious prey as a victory or at least it would have if a knife didn't come flying into its left eye knocking it to the ground. This knife was thrown by no other than angel who rushed to the aid of the small form. Jack was taken upstairs to talk to Flutter Shy about some 'discouraging' words that he had said the other animals that supposedly hurt their feelings. Flutter Shy was a young adult in her twenty's that most commonly wore a medium length yellow skirt and a yellow vest with three pink butterflies on the back where her wings popped out at. She was 5 foot 4 and was relatively short for a pony, her hair lied straight as it almost reached the ground barely just short of her knees. The conversation had been very one sided with Flutter Shy reprimanding Jack for his choice of words, she called in Angel for his opinion but Angel was nowhere to be found, the next thing they heard was a ghastly roar...
