An Unfreaky Nightmare Night
"Nightmare Night, what a fright, give us something sweet to bite!" the fillies and colts sang loudly as they reached the Rainbow Dash's cloud mansion. It was Nightmare Night in Ponyville. Everypony was out and about playing some fun and freaky games. Well, everypony except a young cyan mare.
"No candy here! Leave me ALONE!"
Dash yelled down at the kids from her mansion. She was super duper upset today. Earlier that evening, Dash received a letter from the Wonderbolts Headquaters. This was no ordinary letter: It the Wonderbolt's test scores! It will determine Dash's future of being a Wonderbolt.
"Oh My Gosh Oh My Gosh Oh My Gosh!" She teared the envelope opened and suddenly, her happiness turns into sadness, then sadness turns into anger.
"A 44%?! I wasn't accepted! My life long dream is ruined!"
By now the fillies and colts have already passed Dash's house. She was all alone, feeling sorry for herself and angry at the Wonderbolts. Her enthusiasm was awesome, she saved their flanks 2 times and Soarin's pie, saved the show when Wind Rider became a traitor as he accused her for sending Spitfire away, and the best of all: She saved Equestria for like... a million times! The Wonderbolts should be begging for her to join by now!
"Urgh! I wish my life would end right now!" Rainbow yelled stressfully.
Suddenly, she heard her grand entrance creaking opened. Hoof steps started. Clop. Clop. Clop. Dash quickly scanned the room she was in and saw a broom. She grabbed it and silently tiptoed to the grand door.
"Okay. I've already need to share my life with an egghead owl, a cow, a scaredy cat, a diva lizard and a hyper alligator! So unless you are one of my crazy BFFs, you don't scare me!"
Dash jumped to the moving figure and hit it rapidly with her broom.
"Oof!" The figure yelped as Dash stopped hitting and had a good look at it. "Ahhhh!!! Nightshade!!!!" She shouted and bucked the Shadowbolt.
"Dash - oof! - it's - oof! - me!" Nightshade yelled in pain. Dash recognised this amazing and warm voice. This was no Nightshade!
"S-soarin?!" Rainbow can't stop herself as she hugged the muscular stallion. Soarin smiled at the rainbow mare and hugged her. She buried her muzzle in his soft and warm chest. It felt so great and nice. Just then, Dash thought. 'Wait a minute. I should be mad at Soarin! Why am I hugging him?! And why is he hugging me back?! Does he like me? Oh no what to do what to do?!
She broke the hug and stood up. "What are YOU doing here?!" Dash blushed furiously. Soarin chuckled at this. He pulled an envelope out of his Night Shade costume. "Hehe. Good to see you too. I'm here to give you this." Dash looked at the envelope, confused. "But I've already received this! And let me tell ya, I'm so NOT happy with it." She then pouted cutely at the stallion. "D'awwww. Ain't Rainbow a cutie pie?" Realising he said it out loud, Soarin cleared his voice and got back to his topic. "Ahem. See, your test score was switched with Lightning Dust's. Rainbow Dash. You scored a perfect score and passed!"
Dash blinked. 'I passed? I passed?! I passed!!!
She blasted up into the air and did her victory dance. "I gotta fly with Soarin and the Wonderbolts. 'Cuz I'm awesome, and they know it! Oh yeah, ah ah uh!" Dash sang as the both laughed hard.
"So Soarin, wanna scare the candy out of Pinkie?" Dash asked and ooked over the window to see Pinkie bobbing for apples.
"You bet! Although I don't think you can scare anypony with that doll face of yours." Soarin joked teasingly as Dash rolled her eyes.
"I'll take the compliment Soarin, but CLEARLY you don't know me well. I still got some tricks up my sleeves."
She then zipped to her bedroom and put on a Nightmare Moon costume.
"C'mon, let's show how these slowpokes how we really scare ponies!" Soarin shouted enthusiastically as they both flew outside.
Soarin and Dash had a blast scaring ponies.
Later on that night, Soarin and Dash tiredly rested on a big cloud. Silence took over.
"Sooooo Dash! I - um - I have a plus one ticket to the upcoming Grand Galloping Gala. I know you would have one too, but would you like to go with me?"
Rainbow blushed as her voice cracked a little at the end of the sentence, "You mean, like a date?!" Soarin smiled sheepishly. "Yeah, I mean, just as friends, buds, pals, mates, soul mates - I mean - mate as in, oh you know what I mean...." Which earned a chuckle from Rainbow. "Okay. Thanks by the way." Soarin nodded at this. "So...until then?" She asked, extending a hoof. "Bro hoof?" Soarin held her hoof up and kissed it.
"Until then, my princess."
As he flew away, Soarin took one last glance at his beautiful Dash and told himself, 'This grand galloping gala is going to be the best yet!
As for Rainbow Dash, who was as red as a tomato, rewinded her conversation with Soarin and can't help giggling to herself. Her 5 friends' costumes were all ruined after the awfully priceless pranks Soarin and Dash pulled. As they walked to the Crystal Tree Castle, they feasted their eyes on the giggling Nightmare Moon.
"What the buck happened here?!" AppleJack gasped.
"Isn't that Rainbow Dash?!" Rarity did a dramatic bed flop, but in this case, the bed is Fluttershy.
"Dash doesn't giggle, she snorts!" Twilight explained.
They all shrugged and went inside the castle.

I kinda got a writer's block on my other story, sooooo I made this just for fun!
I hope you guys like it. This is made just for the upcoming Holiday: Halloween. Or us bronies and pegasisters will say: Nightmare Night.
Well yeah, I got some ideas for my other story so I'll work on that. Thanks for reading.
