Everyone except Twilight celebrated their victory she stayed in the control room and sat in her chair slumped down and trying to figure out what Nightmare Moon said about a team coming to kill them. What do you mean by that Twilight thought to herself as a piece of paper flew out the window but Twilight catched it then pinned it then pinned the paper to a wall. "There, that should keep you from flying out again," said Twilight. All of a sudden the front door flung open to reveal the others and a very drunk Rainbow Dash on top of Applejack's back. "Oh dear me I knew we shouldn't have Dash chug all those beers," said Rarity who cleaned up Rainbow's puke off of her dress. "Did you guys enjoy yourself?" asked Twilight. "It was awesome!" said Rainbow who burped very loudly that shook up the whole building. Everyone except Twilight and Rarity laughed at Dash's antics which Rarity found disgusting, Applejack took her rainbow haired friend to bed so she can sleep off her drunkenness while Pinkie and Shy went to train. Spike saw a look on Twilight that had determined written all over it. Ever since she conquered her fear and defeated Nightmare Moon she's changed for the better. "Spike I found out a message that was played while you guys were out celebrating," said Twilight as she replayed a message. The screen got fuzzy but cleared up and showed a girl with yellow orangish hair with dark yellow eyes wearing what seemed to be a trench coat, orange hand gloves, long pants and finally black reddish boots. She appeared to have powers more specifically fire energy blasts out of her hands. "Wait isn't that Lightning Dust?" asked Spike but Twilight hushed him as they continued to watch. Lightning stood beside a cutout of all of them and blasted them to oblivion except Rainbow Dash which she just used her laser vision to melt her until there was nothing left. This was shocking since they all have not seen Dust in years, not since the Wonderbolts tryouts. "What is Lightning Dust doing here in Metropolis?" asked Spike. "I have no idea but I'm about to find out," said Twilight. She typed in the video's origin into their computer and all could find was an abandoned house on the outskirts of the city, Spike could just send Rarity and Pinkie over there to check it out. He carried Twilight to bed then tucked her in then closed the door so Twilight could get some rest for tomorrow, it was going to be a busy day. The sun rose in the sky and sunlight hit Twilight to inform her that morning has arrived. She dragged herself out of bed and put her normal clothes on then walked out of the room to greet everyone. "Alright Spike we're ready," said Rarity as she adjusted the mask on her outfit. "Ok," said Spike as he handed them both communicators in case they get caught in a fight and have to call for backup. Rarity and Pinkie used the transporter to end up at the abandoned house that had mold and maggots everyone. Pinkie looked all over but found nothing then Lightning Dust appeared in front of the party girl and Rarity. "I was expecting to see Masked Matterhorn or Zapp but you two will suffice," said Lightning Dust as she prepared to attack them. "Looks like this is going to be fun after all," said Rarity as her bracelets lit up and revealed two blades of chaos. Rarity attacked her by engaging in a swordfight by combining hand to hand combat but Dust blocked her leg kick and flinged her into a wall. Pinkie rushed and catched Rarity in mid air then did a flurry of kicks and fast moving punches which Dust couldn't keep up with. Rarity got up and entered the fray as Lightning Dust had planned, then created a shockwave that knocked them both down. Lightning huffed and puffed, she had never seen this kind of power before. "Your both good but not good enough to kill me," said Lightning Dust as she disappeared. "Rarity are you both ok?" said Spike over the communicator. "Yes we're quite alright but I think we have a big, big problem. Pinkie and I just went three rounds with Lightning Dust," explained Rarity. "Alright I'll come pick you up," said Spike. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 Who's Next? //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 Who's Next? "So Lightning Dust is back here and you sent Rarity and Pinkie Pie to fight her. No offense but they're rookies to Dust," said Dash drinking some hard apple cider. Rarity gave Dash a evil look and Spike calmed her down long enough to not have her kill Rainbow Dash for that remark. "Like I said no offense," said Dash as she took another sip of her cider. Twilight was pretty much the only one who actually tried to make sense of the whole conversation considering that right now they had to deal with Lightning Dust and who knows who else. The news cut on immediately to show a robbery in progress and Dust was doing the robbing. "Alright time to suit up," said Spike. Twilight along with the others suited up and flew out to the source of the disturbance. As the jet took off something uncoiled itself in Twilight's mind in a bad way. Everyone including Rainbow looked at their leader and exchanged worried looks but the most worried was Fluttershy who got up from her seat and walked up to Twilight. "Are you ok Twilight? You seem to be in a sour mood," asked Fluttershy who put a reassuring hand on her friend's shoulder. "Well it's just that when we caught Nightmare Moon she left me with a lot of questions like: A team would kill us very soon and I have no idea what that means," said Twilight. The others heard what she said and gave Twilight a big hug. This was the family type of thing she loved from her best friends, they treat each other like family and nothing less. Without warning, Lightning Dust fired a shot at the jet disabling one of the engines. Spike desperately tried to keep it in the air but eventually the jet crashed into the ground and proceeded to skid down on a road. Through the wreckage, Twilight emerged out along with the others. Dust wasn't impressed considering she was dealing with Twilight and her friends but she turned her attention from Masked Matterhorn to Zapp who gave Dust a look of distain and disgust. "Lightning Dust how did you find us?" asked Dash while preparing her attack. "It was quite easy really. Nightmare Moon led me to your location and here I am," explained Dust who put the bags down and cracked her knuckles. The air was still and quiet, so quiet that a pen could drop and everyone would hear it. A long history between Dust and Dash would be unleashed right now, it's as if the whole earth stopped moving unless one of them flinched but it didn't happen until Dust did a super roundhouse kick on Dash sending her flying and crashing into a building or two. "Aw is that all you got? I expected more from you," said Dust as she flew down to the broken building with a mammoth sized hole in it. As she examined the wreckage a shadow of Rainbow came passing by and Dust fired an energy shot at the wall but nothing was there. Then without warning Dust was hit in her face with a double boot attack by Zapp aka Rainbow Dash, disoriented; Dash used this opportunity to give her 40 volts of electricity zapping her then did a combination of punches and kicks causing Lightning to fly into a tall skyscraper then skid on the hard cold ground below. Dash flew down ready for another attack as Lightning Dust got up and dusted herself off. "I see you've gotten better Rainbow since the last time we met," said Dust smirking. "The hell are you doing in my city?!?" asked Dash as her friends appeared beside her. "The real fight has only began, you'll see when I regain my full power you'll all be dead," said Dust as she disappeared. Dash looked at her friends then at her thunderbolt pendant. "Damn this is not going to be an easy day," said Dash. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3 Memory and Heartache //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3 Memory and Heartache In the base Spike was fixing up the jet but the damage was bad seeing that Dust put a mammoth sized hole in the interior and engine. This was going to be his biggest challenge ever, grabbing his tools Spike began his work on the damaged jet. "Dash I can't believe you fought her and managed to survive," said Shy in surprise. "I still can't believe she's here in Metropolis," said Dash pondering her thoughts. The thought came from Twilight to say the same thing but never spoke, danger to cause an argument between her friends. After what just happened with Dust, how Rainbow showed her powers but not the full extent of them. "Rainbow the ship wasn't able to handle all that damage Dust did," said Fluttershy with a concerned look. Dash didn't say anything but left in a huff to her room where a picture of her and Lightning Dust when they were in flight training together. The picture sent a heartache that went up her spine all the way back to her heart, Dust wanted to be the best but fell short in front of Rainbow Dash. "Dash are you alright?" asked Fluttershy who broke Dash's concentration. "No not really, I remembered something that I wish would leave my mind...but it won't unless I finish this once and for all," said Dash determined, setting the picture down. Fluttershy embraced her friend tightly which gave Dash a reason to cry a little then realized that killing Lightning Dust will be the only way her mind will be at ease but this wasn't going to be a easy turn. "Shy I need you to start up the training room, I'm about to go to war," said Dash as she walked out of her room. "O-Okay, any special preferences I should know about?" asked Shy concerned. "Would you mind playing my favorite song from Five Finger Death Punch?" asked Dash. They both stepped in the training room which was a empty white room with an observing tower with all sorts of fighting simulations for anyone for any kind of training. Dash put on her costume as Shy played the requested song. "Start off strong ok?" said Dash. Fluttershy played a clone simulation that had clones of Lightning Dust, Dash flew up and fired shots of lightning balls at them causing them to fizzle to nothingness and Spike along with the others watched as well and were impressed with every move. "She's gradually getting stronger with each attack," said Applejack. "Yep," said Pinkie as the song ended. Dash came out ready to fight Dust, not even looking at her friends but continued to walk in the street and in the distance they're laid Lightning Dust standing there face to face with Rainbow Dash. "Rainbow you ready to lose or die?" asked Dust with a devious smirk. "It ends now," said Dash with no emotion on her face. "I know it does," responded Dust. Dash flew toward her, grabbing her and tearing through buildings until they landed on one and began hitting each other with powerful moves, even though Dash tried to hit her with a light strike Dust countered with an earth shattering energy blast sending Rainbow flying into the cold hard ground hard enough to cause a crater. "THIS IS MY WORLD NOW RAINBOW!" shouted Dust as she fired a ball of energy at Dash. Dash got up and ran as fast as she could, trying to avoid the giant ball of energy but the more time she ran the more it grew in size until Pinkie picked her up and ran fast. "Pinkie! Boy am I glad to see you!" said Dash with a sigh of relief. "No time to talk, come on I have an idea that's crazy but it just might work," said Pinkie as she ran to the base. Pinkie set her down and began typing in a code which made Dash even more confused but whatever Pinkie was planning it'd better work. "Alright I got something for you that should work," said Pinkie as she handed her a piece of candy. "Pinkie this is no time for candy," retorted Dash but Pinkie shoved the candy down her throat. The candy gave Rainbow power beyond anyone comprehension and her eyes turned white as lightning. "Let's do this!" said Dash as she flew out. The energy ball was about the size of the sun and closing in on Rainbow fast so Dash created a tornado spin to send it flying then caused an extreme thunderstorm to vaporize it completely. "How? No! Impossible!" shouted Dust as she charged full speed at Rainbow. Dash moved out of the way and into traffic with Dust not too far behind, cars and trucks saw the two going at a very high speed of 120 mph or more since they were on a busy highway causing more of a ruckus, beside them was Spike's fully repaired jet trailing beside Dash. "Dash stay down!" shouted Rarity as she used her bracelets to sprout out a rocket launcher and blasted Dust off the highway into the street, skidding hard on the ground. "Nice shot Rarity," said Twilight. Dash gave her a thumbs up and went down on the street and Lightning caused an energy shockwave that sent her flying and almost hitting a car but landed on her feet. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 4 Hero //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 4 Hero Dash stood on her feet and grabbed Dust by her neck then flinged her into a skyscraper causing it to collapse and be cut in half. "Damn you Dash why continue this fight? You realize that your weak compared to me," said Dust who blasted Rainbow into a wall. She coughed up blood but before she could reach her feet Dust fired another energy blast but Dash had a shield even though it was barely holding and cracking fast. Then out of nowhere, Rarity tackled her to the ground and quickly got off before Dust could launch another attack. Rarity's bracelets glowed brightly to reveal twin daggers in her hands then attacked with quick attacks and magic to boot. This gave Dash a chance to regroup but she decided to help Rarity fight her which then Dust caused an energy shockwave, sending them back. "Wow she's pretty strong," said Rarity. Dash gave her a nod in approval of what Rarity said, she was very powerful but between the two of them it would be a power struggle. "I might need to use my ultimate lightning ball," said Dash which shocked Rarity. "Dash that move-" "I don't care, I need to end this," said Dash with a burning fire that burned bright. "Well if you do so be careful," responded Rarity. Dash's eyes turned back to their normal color then attacking with super sonic speed lifting her high up and slammed Dust down with a super spike piledriver she learned from Shimmer a long time ago, glass all over shattered everywhere so Rarity created a shield to keep herself from getting hurt by the flying glass. Dash let go then watched as Dust fell on the floor face down not moving at all. "It's over," said Dash huffing from the battle. She couldn't be more wrong because a spark of dark energy cloaked itself around Lightning Dust giving her an unbreakable barrier around her body which also formed claws then gave out a loud roar that was earth shattering and can be heard for miles, this was what Dash was afraid of. "What on Earth is that thing?!?" panicked Rarity. "I don't know but it's going down," said Dash. "Um Dash darling I applaud your sheer determination and will but you clearly see a monster has appeared in front of us," responded Rarity even more frightened than before. "Don't worry I'll win this, you head back to the to the others and no matter what you hear do not come to help me understand?" said Dash as her eyes went pure white again. "Alright be careful....please," said Rarity as she turned to leave. Dust rushed her and tried to slash her claws at Rarity but Rainbow kicked her in the face sending her to hit a wall hard but had no sign of an injury. "This is going to be tougher than I thought," said Dash avoiding Dust's claw attacks with ease. All of a sudden her tail wrapped itself around Dash's leg and flung her around smashing her into walls and on the cold hard pavement which put Dash in a lot of pain, she teleported herself to a safe area to get away from that monster. I have to think of something or she'll kill me for sure thought Dash as she saw her wounds and groaned in pain but then a memory about that one time she charged up her power so much that she became Super Rainbow Dash, that thought came to mind as she spread her wings and flew up. "HEY DUST!" shouted Dash getting Dust's attention. She landed on the ground then charged her power enough that now her costume changed from dark blue to white and she became the one ally that could stop Lightning Dust: Super Rainbow Dash and caused a bright light that blinded Dust a bit then she saw Dash's transformation in full view. "Now the real fun begins," said Dash as she fired an electrical blast at her, breaking through the shield for a brief moment then starting beating her up with punches and quick kicks, disorienting her to a point that Dash shocked her with 100,000 volts of pure electricity. Dust screamed in pain but pushed her away, Dash almost slammed into another building if her wings didn't stop the impact of the blow. "Rainbow Dash you don't know the full extent of my power; my dark energy will consume you along with this pathetic city," explained Dust. "Shut up and bring it on!" exclaimed Dash.
