The migration of the early ponies lead to formation of bands, which later became tribes. The roaming nomads of the earliest Equines lead to the discovery of the three different breeds of ponies, but unlike the Common Era, the Elements of Harmony didn't exist yet.
Equestria's history had to have bloodshed before peace eroded the dead bodies of warriors and the valley of crimson waters into an era where thought and equality ruled along side royalty.
