Twilight set the plate of quiche on the table. It was set with a lot of food, overdone? Definitely. Only her best friends were gonna come to the castle but she wanted her friends to fell more comfortable than they do in their own home. (Although that's probably impossible, but Twilight might as well try.)
Twilight decided to let all the guards have the night off. (except for her head chef, who cooked all the food because Twilight can't cook.) Twilight decided against decorating the castle, she didn't want to come off as forceful or desperate. The schedule is basic for the night. Twilight just wants her friends to have a good & comfortable time.
Twilight looked up at the clock, it was only six-fifty. The others weren't supposed to arrive until seven. Twilight had another ten minutes to herself, so she decided to grab a book to past the ten minutes.

Applejack walked up to the big castle. Applejack stopped in front of the door, "Is this such a good idea?" Applejack thought. "You don't want to ditch your friends, plus, you are the Element of Honesty, you said you were gonna show up. Besides, it shouldn't that hard, just stay away from windows and you should be fine." Applejack chuckled. It shouldn't be that hard.
Applejack jumped. She turned around to see her friend, Rarity, standing behind her with a concerned look on her face.
"Darling? Are you okay?" She asked. "You've been standing there for two minutes."
"I'm okay." Applejack said. "Just had something on mah mind. Nothing huge."
Rarity chuckled. "Darling, you are a horrible liar. But since you don't want to me to know, I won't pester."
"Thanks, Rares." Applejack said. "I'm just a bit tired tonight. That's all."

"Alright Applejack, shall go in." Rarity said. "Don't want to keep Twilight waiting now do we?"

Twilight put the book back up on the shelf, right where it belongs. She looked up at the clock. It was seven, hopefully the others do show up, maybe she should've asked more questions.
Twilight heard footsteps coming from the front hall. She looked to see Pinkie walking into the room.
"Hey Twilight!" Pinkie called. "How ya doing?".
"Fine." Twilight said. "How are you doing? You seemed not that chipper earlier."
"Oh. That was because one plants died right before you showed up." Pinkie explained. "I'm fine otherwise. See?" Pinkie then put on the biggest smile she could on her face.
Twilight chuckled. "Okay. Pinkie, I believe you." Twilight turned towards. "Would you mind helping me with something?" Twilight asked.
"Sure." Pinkie said. "What do you need?"
"I need help cheering up the others." Twilight said. "They have been seemingly saddened lately. I hopefully want to cheer them up & make them feel comfortable."
"Okay." Pinkie said. Pinkie walked over to the table full of food. Twilight noticed that Pinkies hair actually was adored with daisies & violets.
"I didn't know you finally let Rarity did your hair." Twilight said. "It looks really nice with the flowers."
"Oh! I did it myself." Pinkie said. "I used flowers from my garden."
"Wait. When did have a garden & start taking care of flowers?" Twilight asked. "You can barely take care of Pound & Pumpkin without a little help, no offense, but call me skeptical." Twilight chuckled.
"I guess I haven't really shown anyone except the cakes." Pinkie said. "I may have turned my apartment into a greenhouse. I mean, I made sure no root sunk into the floor because that could ruin Sugercube Corner and I don't want that because I would be homeless an-Hello Darling." Called an interrupting voice. Twilight & Pinkie turned to see Rarity, along with Applejack walking into the main room.
"Hello Rarity, AJ glad you two could make it." Twilight said.
"Yeah." Pinkie said as she appeared behind the two mares and wrapped her arms around their shoulders. "Glad to see you girls again. We are hopefully gonna have fun tonight."
"Well I don't see Rainbow Dash or Fluttershy." Rarity said. "So I assume they are either in the bathroom or aren't here yet."
"No, neither of have shown up yet." Twilight said."Rainbow said she had something to show us, so I figured she'd be a little late."
"What would Dash hafta show us?" Applejack asked.
"I don't know." Pinkie said with a shrug. "But something tells me that we shouldn't worry about it."
"Well what ever Dash has to show us will come later. So" Twilight said as she turned to the table. "I had a small feast made for you gals."
"Celestia Twilight!" Rarity exclaimed. "There's only gonna be six people here! Unless this for all the guards as well?"
"Nope, This is all for us." The Purple alicorn said. "I let all the guards have the night off."
"Whit? Why would youf do that?" Applejack asked with her full of Apple crumble." Why woud you do that?"
Twilight shrugged. "I just wanted to help you girls be more comfortable, so I figured if it was just the six of us, there would be no uncomfortability. Will there be a problem?"
"No." Applejack said . "But are ya sure nuthin will attack?
Twilight chuckled. "Applejack, What idiot would attack the Princess of Friendships castle, with the other Elements of Harmony in the castle?"
"Pretty much any idiot we've faced before." Applejack retorted.
Rarity chuckled. "Well, She pretty much has you there Twilight."
"Hello, um girls." Said a small voice from behind Twilight & Rarity.
"Hi Fluttershy!" Called Pinkie from on top of the table.
Twilight turned around to see her shy, shorter Pegasus friend, Friend, Fluttershy. "Sorry I'm late." She said. "I had to help Mr. Beaver with the dam again."
"No problem Fluttershy." Twilight said. "If anything, you beat Rainbow Dash."
Rarity chuckled. "Well, that's a first. Um, no offense Fluttershy."
"None taken, I guess." Fluttershy whispered.
"I'm Here!" Called Rainbow Dash as she ran in and looked around. "Aw what! I'm last?!" Twilight, Rarity, Fluttershy and Applejack chuckled (Pinkie was indulging in food at the moment).

"Great!" Twilight called. "Now that all six of us are here, let's get started."

One hour later

"So you know what he had the balls to do next?" Rarity said.
"What?" Pinkie asked.
"He picked me up bridle-style!" Rarity said as the others (including Fluttershy) begin laughing. "Thank Celestia I'm a lady, otherwise it would've gotten ugly pretty fast."
"Sounds like you dodged a bullet there Rares." Dash said as she drank the rest of the Non-Alcoholic Cider in her glass. "Hey Twi, Refill?"
"Sure thing Dash." Twilight said. Twilight grabbed the bottle and went to pour some more cider in Dash's glass, however, Twilight noticed the bottle was empty. "Oh! Looks like it's empty girls, I'll go fetch another bottle."
"Hurry back Twilight." Pinkie shouted. "You'll miss my story."
Twilight chuckled. She looked up at the clock as she passed it. It was 8:05, "The full moon should be out by now." Twilight thought. As Twilight turned the corner, the curtains in the room with the others opened up.
Twilight reached the pantry in the a little room in the middle of the castle. (Twilight hates that it's not connected to the kitchen). Twilight then heard what sounded like a scream, it was a mare, but Twilight couldn't tell who screamed. Twilight dropped the bottle and ran out into the Halloween, it was dark except for moonlight leaking in from a window.
Twilight ran though the dark castle, just trying to find the others. Twilight turned a corner and into a room with a lot of windows. All the lights were off. And staring at her, was a pair red, glowing eyes
