//-------------------------------------------------------// Hungry Filly Twilight -by Ellington- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Twilight Sparkle //-------------------------------------------------------// Twilight Sparkle Twilight Sparkle was a four year old blank flanked filly who was reading a book in her bedroom, while her foal sitter Cadence was making supper downstairs in the kitchen. Just then Twilight's stomach gargled. "Huh, I guess I'm hungry." Twilight walked into the kitchen and saw Cadence working on dinner. Occasionally Twilight's parents and brother would be gone for such a long time that her foalsitter would have to make her dinner. Luckily Cadence wasn't a half bad cook. "What are you making Cadence?" Twilight asked her foal-sitter. "I'm making the both of us milo soup." Cadence said without turning her head. "How long until it's ready? I'm starving." "I'm afraid it won't be ready until about a half hour later Twilight." Answered Cadence. "But I'm hungry now!" Whined Twilight. "Sorry kiddo, this is the best I can do; the soup needs to cook." Twilight left the kitchen and went into the living room, and sat on the couch. She just couldn't help but think about how hungry she was. After ten minutes, poor Twilight was practically in pain from hunger; she couldn't even properly read a nice book she was so hungry. Twilight walked back into the kitchen. "Is the soup done yet Cadence? I'm starving." "Sorry Twilight, but it's nowhere near done." Answered Cadence. Twilight groaned. "I'm sorry Twilight, I'm doing the best I can with this." Twilight was about to leave but then she saw the cookie jar. Maybe just a quick little snack would be okay. She approached the kitchen cabinet, she climbed up, and then she was about to open the jar only for Cadence to lift her up with her aura. "No Twilight. You'll spoil your appetite." Warned Cadence. "But I'm dying of starvation." Complained Twilight. "You'll live. Now go and play, I'll call you just as soon as it's ready." Cadence then levitated Twilight outside the kitchen and gently dropped her down. Twilight sat on the living room couch once more and tried to think of SOMETHING other than her growing hunger, but she just couldn't. Her stomach was demanding food. Little Twilight then thought of an idea, but it was an awful idea. She could ignore what Cadence said and go again for those cookies. Twilight didn't want to be a bad filly but she just couldn't ignore her growing hunger. Twilight slowly peered into the kitchen to see if Cadence was watching, she was busy with making the soup on the kitchen stove; this was Twilight's opportunity. Twilight slowly took one step, then another, then carefully went towards the cookie jar. She again climbed on the cabinet towards her delicious prize. Then Twilight put her hoof into the jar and pulled out a cookie. She then quietly walked out of the kitchen. "TWILIGHT SPARKLE!" Shouted an angry Cadence, Twilight was busted. Twilight couldn't think of anything to say or do, so she took off as fast as she could for the living room, only for Cadence to easily grab her with her aura. Cadence levitated the cookie out of Twilight's grasp and put it back into the jar. "I know you're hungry Twilight but that was very naughty. What do you have to say for yourself?" Twilight stayed silent, she couldn't think of anything to say. "Well?" Snapped Cadence. "I...I...I'm sorry Cadence." "If you're hungry you should wait until I'm finished with the milo soup Twilight." "But I'm hungry now." Whined Twilight. "Twilight, you need to be patient. I'm sorry that it's taking so long, but it'll come. Now run along and don't pull that stunt again." Cadence then sat Twilight down and gently slid her away with her hoof. Twilight sat back down on the family couch. She wished she didn't try such a thing, but she couldn't help but think about those cookies; her mom made them and she made the best cookies in all of Equestria. The thought of those cookies and her growing hunger was driving Twilight crazy. Twilight again looked into the kitchen from just inside the living room to see Cadence still working on making the soup. Twilight quietly trotted into the kitchen, once again towards the cookie jar. She climbed up the cabinet once again but before she got halfway up she was lifted up by Cadence's aura. Once again Twilight was busted. Twilight expected to be yelled at again, but instead Cadence carried Twilight upstairs to her room and dropped her on her bed, "For trying that again young filly you'll have to stay here until your parents get home. I'll come up again later to get your dinner." Cadence then left. Twilight rarely got in trouble, but right now she had disobeyed Cadence, who was both her foalsitter and friend. Would her parents be mad at her? Would Cadence hate her from now on? Twilight then vowed to never be a bad pony ever again. Twilight placed her forelegs against her face and softly cried. Later Cadence came into Twilight's room with two bowls of soup. "Dinner's ready Twilight." Announced Cadence. Twilight looked up with a very sad expression, "Please don't hate me Cadence. I promise I won't be bad again." Cadence put down the soup bowls and placed a hoof on Twilight's back in a soothing matter, "I would NEVER hate you Twilight." "But...but I disobeyed you...I'm...I'm a bad pony." Twilight cried a little more. Cadence embraced Twilight in a soothing hug, "There there Twilight; you're not a bad pony, you just made a very bad decision." "Honest?" Asked Twilight. "Honest." Cadence answered back with a smile.
