Chapters The only way of getting stronger
"Spike!" Twilight yelled from her room. Spike was dusting some books then came walking to Twilight.
"What do you need your highness?" Spike asked.
"Well finally your here!" Twilight said.
"I was standing a few hooves away..." Spike was cut off by Twilight's nagging.
"No sass needed Spike! Your lucky i'm in a good mood. Anyway..." Twilight said then took a sip of her Milkshake then threw it over her head which hit Spike in the face. "I need you to clean that up and Fluttershy asked me to pick up some things for her and I as i'm a good friend I said yes." Twilight gloat.
"So what do you need me for?" Spike said as he rolled his eyes. Twilight saw this and she levitated a book and threw it at Spike in the face, Spike stumbled back, tripped, and fell in a pile of books. The book slipped of his face with some of his blood.
"Now don't be a wimp, here's the list of things you need to pick up for Fluttershy. Now hurry, Oh also I need you to pick up a milkshake for me." Twilight said as she continue reading her book. Spike picked up the list and wiped his blood off, he picked himself up and left the castle.
"Ok, I need to pick up carrots, cellery, muffins, bird seed, app..." Spike said as he walked around the shopping stands until he was interrupted by a pony.
"Howdy Spike! How you been doing?" Apple Bloom said as she came out of nowhere. Spike looked in front of him and sees Apple Bloom, he blushed as she smiled brightly at him.
"Uh, I've been doing fine." Spike scratched the back of his head. Apple Bloom's smiled then faded when she saw Spike has blood on the bottom of his lip and nose she gasped.
"Oh my Celestia! Spike! Why are you bleeding?! I need to fix you up right away, come on!" Apple Bloom said as she started dragging Spike by his arm. Spike blushed brighter with the sudden encounter he pulled back which got Apple Bloom's attention. "Watcha doing Spike?"
"Look Apple Bloom i'm glad that somepony's concern about me. Trust me I am, but I need to collect some items for Twilight for Fluttershy." Spike said as he pulled his arm back and started walking the other direction. He was about to be in his first destination until being pulled again.
"Come on Spike at least let me help ya a little." Spike then looked at Apple Bloom. "And I ain't taking no for an answer." Apple Bloom then smiled at him, Spike the smiled back at her.

"Ok, this is how it's going to go. You tell me what happen while I heal your wounds. Got it?" Apple Bloom said sternly as she pointed her hoof to his snout.
"Got it." Spike said immediately. Apple Bloom motioned him to sit down under the tree she brought them to. They both sat down and Spike's head was in Apple Bloom's hooves. Apple Bloom then started looking at his face in different angles, then she made a face of worrisome "Anything wrong doctor?" Spiked joked.
"Well many things first your face has scratches, blood, and cuts!" Apple Bloom looked at Spike with concern. "Who did this too you?" Apple Bloom then let go of his face and is waiting for an answer. All Spike did was turn away. "Come on Spike I need to know."
"Nopony." Spike said. Spike then feels warmth around him. He turned to see that Apple Bloom is hugging him.
"Please, Spike. I can't go on living that a friend is hurting and I can't do anything if they won't let me." Apple Bloom said with tears in her eyes. Spike just stared at her. She really did care for Spike. "Please, I want to help." Apple Bloom said between her sobs. Apple Bloom then just closed her eyes and sobbed on his chest. She then felt warmth around her and oppen her eyes to see Spike hugging her back.
"Twilight." Spike said.
"What?" Apple Bloom asked confuse.
"It was Twilight, she does this this to me when I don't behave. Even if I just roll my eyes she just beats me with her books. That's why I have all these bruises and blood." Spike explained. Apple bloom is surprised, she usually sees Twilight as a nice princess who she is kind to everyone. But now that she hears this she now has a different perspective on her.
"So all those bruises came from..." Apple Bloom said as she paused to think on what Twilight is.
"Yes." Spike said as he let go a little to face Apple Bloom. "So now that you know I want you to promise not to tell anypony about this." Spike asked.
"But!" Apple Bloom said but then saw the look of fear in his eyes. "Promise." Spike smiled and wiped her tears away.
"Thank you." He said.
"For this?" Apple Bloom said as she tackled him and started tickling him. Spike was caught off-guard and was tickled for a few seconds but manage to get some strength and tickled her. She then started laughing uncontrollably, "Ok I give! I give!" She tried to say between her laughs.
"This is what you get for tickling a dragon off-guard." Spike said. They have been playing for a while until sundown which they got tired.
"*Yawn* I think it's time to hit the hay." Apple Bloom said as she yawned.
"Yeah, it was fun hanging out with you by the way." Spike said to Apple Bloom.
*snore* Spike turned to see that Apple Bloom has already fallen asleep.
"Heh, the little sleepy head has already fallen asleep." *Yawn* "It seems like i'm about to as well." Spike then laid down next to Apple Bloom and snoozed off to dream land.
The only way of getting stronger

With those final words Spike woke up in a cold sweat. He looked around the area and saw that he wasn't at Sweet Apple Acres, he was in the Evefree Forest, and Apple Bloom isn't with him. He got up and started walking around hoping to find Apple Bloom. He was walking for a couple of minutes until he finally spotted her, but something was wrong. She was sitting on the ground writing in the dirt. He called out to her hopping to get a response.
"Apple Bloom?" She turned around, saw him, and ran. "Wait! Apple Bloom!" He then started chasing after her, but what he didn't notice he stepped on her writing.
Curiosity didn't kill the cat, ignorance killed the Dragon.
*huff huff huff*
Spike is still chasing Apple Bloom in the Everfree. Apple Bloom quickly took a turn around a tree and Spike still chased after her. But he slamed right into something and fell over on his back. He turned his snout and looked up to see Princess Celsestia.
"Princess Celestia!" Spike said in shocked. Why was she doing here in the Everfree Forest? Spike bowed down to her. He then stood up and was about to ask her something until he saw that she looked angry. Her cold dead eyes were just staring at him while he shivered in fear. But he just shook off that feeling and asked.
"Uhm, Princess Celestia? Have you seen Apple Bloom anywhere? Also why do you look so angry?" Spike asked.
"This is the final time you shall breath the same air as me you filthy beast!" Celestia said as she brought out her sun sword. The sun sword was a sharp sword with the same design as her necklace on her sword.
"What do you mean Princess Celestia?" Spike asked as he was backing up. He tripped and fell on a root. Celestia started walking towards him asw she was levitating the sword over head.
"This is the final time I let another scaled covered monster roam in my kingdom." She then raised the sword high and then it quickly swung it at Spike
"Ah!!!" Spike said as he covered his face with his arms.
"ENOUGH!!!"
Then suddenly a bright flash appeared in front of Spike. Which were Celestia used to be now there's Luna.
"Princess Luna?" Spike asked cautiously.
"Don't worry dragon she's not here." Luna reassured him. "This all a dream, let me show you." Then with that her horn started to glow, a bright flashed. Spike oppened his eyes as he saw the dream barrier. The Cutie Mark Crusaders told him about it but he never seen it in pony or dragon. It was beautiful.
"Wow" Is all he can say.
"Follow me dragon I need to show you something." Luna said as she started to move around in the barrier. Spike followed her as he kept on starring in awe at his surroundings. There were dreams everywhere, from filly to mare and colt to stallion. He kept on following until 1 caught his eye, it was Apple Bloom's. She was in a room but wearing a wedding dress. She was looking at the ring around her neck and smiled.
"This must be Apple bloom's. But who does she want to marry?" Spike asked. He wanted to look into it more but Luna called.
"Come dragon we don't have much time." Luna said as she continue her way. Spike followed but turned his head on the screen to see Apple Bloom walking towards the door and opening. He could tell it was the pony she wanted to marry because she squealed in delight and jumped towards him. Spike couldn't make out who it is, but he could have sworn he had green eyes.
"Here we are young dragon." Luna said snapping Spike back to reality. In front on them was a large rectangular bow. Luna used her magic to open it and pulled our a sword.
"Whoa, easy there Luna I don't want trouble." Spike said as he started backing up. But for a strange reason he tripped.
"You know dragon you have a bad habit of tripping." Luna said as she levitated the sword in front of him. "Here, take this."
"Huh, what?" Spike took the sword and looked at it while he was holding it in his claws. He notices it was a sharp blade with claw marks on it. "Why are you giving me a sword?" Spike asked.
"No child i'm not giving you a sword, I'm giving you the Dragon sword." Luna corrected. "Now i know your wondering why i'm giving this to you well it was yours to begin with."
"What do you mean?" Spike asked.
"Well we don't have that much time and it's kinda personal." Luna said. She gave spike a scroll, "Give this to Twilight and you and I can talk about this if you want."
Spike examined the scroll it said that he was being taken away for a while on royal duties.
"You may take a friend that you trust enough to talk about the discussion if you want." Luna added. Then a bright light startled to appear.
"What's happening?" Spike asked covering his eyes.
"It seems like your waking up." Luna said. "Remember Spike show the scroll to Twilight if you want to talk more on the subject." She then started flying to the light, she flew higher and higher and higher until she was gone. Spike was left alone waiting to wake up. But it seems like he has a couple of seconds so he turned and started running towards Apple Bloom' s dream. He was about to make it until he woke up.
The only way of getting stronger
Spike then woke in a shock. He looked to his side and saw Apple Bloom still snoozing in her dreams. He smiled and stroke her face gently with his claws. She smiled and snuggled into them. Spike can't stop smiling on how beautiful she is. But he started frowning and took his claw away, he knows he can't have her because of some laws and he knows she loves somepony else. He then looked at the sky thinking if he should go to Luna and find out more about him. The airs blows thru Spike's ears as he looked at the clouds up in the sky.
"Oh wait I need to check if I do have it!" Spike exclaimed. He patted himself trying to find it and quickly got up. He tried to look for it around the area he was in. But couldn't find, he can't find it anywhere except. He burped some flames and in his hands was the scroll. "Oh well, at least I have the scroll." Spike sighed in relief a little bit.
*yawn*
Spike turned his head to see Apple Bloom waking up. She opened her eyes a bit but closed them quickly when the sunlight hit her eyes. She covered her eyes with her hooves and sat up. She removed the hooves form her eyes and tried to look around but her vision was a bit blurry.
"Where am I?" Apple Bloom asked. She then noticed Spike in front of her and smiled. "Morning Spike."
"Good Morning." Spike said as he read the scroll hopping he finds any clues in it about what there going to talk about.
"Whatcha reading there Spike?" Apple Bloom asked and took a peek.
"It's a scroll I got from Princess Luna. She says she wants me for some royal duties." Spike said as he continued to read it. "I was also wondering it said I could bring somepony so do you want to come with me?" Spike asked.
"Really?" Apple Bloom asked excitedly. "I always wondered what some of the royal duties are, they must be really important!" Apple Bloom said. "Wait what type of royal duties?" She asked.
"Well it doesn't say but i'm pretty sure it's important." Spike said half lying. He knows what there going to talk about and hope's Apple Bloom isn't going to get angry for bringing her to some history lesson or something like that.
"Then let's start packing." Spike said burning the scroll with his flames. "Be by the train station at Sundown." Spike said to Apple Bloom. She nodded and started to trot over in the direction where the Farm is. Spike started walking over to the direction where town is. He hopes to but a couple of items for the trip, maybe even a small gift for Apple Bloom. For being his FRIEND! Totally not to show any affection, he just blushed of the thought Apple Bloom's reaction might be. But Spike just shook his head and continued his way to town. When he finally reached town he was walking around the shopping district until he saw 3 ponies ganging on 1 mare that's on a floor in a alley. He was a bit curious on what happening so he climbed on to the top of the building Spike learned how to climb buildings ever since Twilight now locks Spike out of the Castle from time to time.
"So your Summer Times..." said a white unicorn mare with a light a pink-purple curled mane.
"I expected a much more prettier mare than... this." said a dark blue pegasus pony with a straight purple and green mane.
"Yeah! She's not worth our time!" Said a light yellow earth pony with a messy purple mane. They all looked down at the mare on the floor she was a white unicorn with a black and pink mane and her name is Paring Ponies.
"What do you want?" asked Summer Times.
"What would we want Summer?" Said the unicorn with the pink-purple mane. She used her magic to levitate the other white unicorn and brought her up to her face. "Oh yeah you posted something about me on the ponynet!"
"What's wrong with that?" Summer asked.
"Well you made me look like the bad guy!" Said the unicorn.
"Well i'm sorry Jewel Cut! But you kept on bullying that one pony and I had to do something. Even though i'm not that popular on it I still had to show who you really are to someone!" Summer said pointing her hoof at Jewel's face. Jewel got furious and threw Summer at crates of oranges which broke them. Summer was laying on the floor with the oranges in pain.
"Way to go Jewel!" Said the earth pony.
"Nice shot J.C." Said the pegasus.
"Thank you very much." Jewel Cut said turning acting like it's a show. She even had the nerve to bow. Jewel turned around to Summer still on the floor trying to get up but failed. Jewel then started kicking the mare making her cough up blood. Summer looked at Jewel Cut in anger but with a bit of fear. "See your not strong." Said Jewel. "If you were then you would be fighting with me instead of against me." Summer just laid there looking at Jewel. All Jewel could do is smirk at the helpless mare on the floor. "You could have some fun now gals it's not fun doing this alone." Jewel said to her friends who smiled to that.
"Wow! Thank you!" Said the earth pony.
"Ha, thought you'd never ask." said the pegasus. They soon joined in on the fun and started kicking the Summer who hid her face with her hooves trying to protect herself. But then the unicorn was pulled back by something.
"Hey what do you think your doing?!" Exclaimed Jewel Cut. She turned around to see Spike holding her back from Summer. "Who are you?!"
"Some dragon that's going to give something you deserve." Spike said and punched the mare on the side of her face which made her fall on the ground unconscious. The 2 other mares saw this and the earth pony went to J.C. while the other came towards Spike. She was about to punch him in the face until spike grabbed her hoof and tried pushing back but they were equally strong. Until Spike had a little more strength to push her back, tripped, and fell into some crates. The 3rd just fled in horror of what happened to her friends. Spike didn't even bother to chase her his attention was the mare badly wounded on the floor. He picked her up and ran towards Sweet Apple Acres where he hopes Apple Bloom is there.
"So can you help her Apple Bloom?" Spike asked almost out of breath.
"Well she's badly wounded but luckily I have the skill to patch her up and have a potion from Zecora to get her inner wounds." Apple Bloom said while she reached for her bag. She pulled out a med kit and a potion. Apple Bloom got started and asked Spike some questions. "How did this happen?"
"She was being beaten by some mares." Spike responded. He looked at Summer who was breathing heavily.
"Do you know her?" Apple Bloom asked while covering some wounds with bandages.
"No, I just saw her in a alley and luckily I saw her." Spike said.
"Why is she important to you?" Apple Bloom asked while stitching a deep cut.
"Huh?" Spike asked confused.
"I know something is up because you don't really bring anybody to me to heal you would usually take them to a hospital." Apple Bloom said while packing her med kit. She then brought out the potion and made Summer drink it. "I mean I can patch ponies up quick but something must be up." She stated.
"Well." Spike said scratching the back of his head. "She reminds me of me. Not showing of fear no matter what, standing up for somepony they don't know, and you can tell she's being beaten by the looks of some of her bruises." Spike pointed out and Summer did have some bruises.
"Well she does have some good traits in her then. Also why do you think she has those bruises?" Apple Bloom asked worriedly.
"I don't know but I hope she doesn't get them by her caretakers." Spike said looking at the young mare.
"Does this mean we have to postpone the royal duties?" Apple Bloom asked. "Cause if we do then I hope it wasn't as important as this." She said while looking at the mare. "How old do you think she is?"
"Probably 15 or so." Spike yawned. "Well I need some rest for all the running I did." Spike said and layed on his back. "I'm going to take a nap. Wake me up if something happens, ok?" Spike asked Apple Bloom and she nodded. "Ok, thanks."

Hey guys hipe you enjoy this chapter cause ir toook a lot of time and let me tell you it took a lot of time. I'm typing this to you rigth now and it's 2:15 wiat now 2:16.
