Yeah, it was a pretty lousy day and yeah, I'm a pretty lazy person, but  that being in the sky shouldn't punish me with this! Or... maybe it was what I ordered? I know that fast food places have a pretty wide menu, but I `chose fries. Could it be my lack of originality that sent me this cruel fate? Was it because I'm lazy and have no taste? Or maybe it was going to happen no matter what I had done. What if the stones on the path I walked had been set long before I even knew what had happened? The words carved in stone before I had a chance to decide what I wanted? Could it have even been pure luck that this happened? Did some being stick his hand into a bowl and pull out a slip of paper that said my name? All I know right now, is that it wasn't like this before, and I get the feeling it won't ever be the same again. Jorden beep beep beep beep "Uuuuuuugggghhuuh" beep beep beep beep "Uurrrrrrrr" beep beep beep beep "Fine!" I raised my hand up to the sky, slamming it down upon the soul of the alarm clock, silencing it's shrill wailing. My hand rested on the snooze button, my face buried in my pillow, blanket somehow managing to get to the other side of the room. I planned to not move until it was night again, but the sun was at that one angle that somehow managed to shine onto your eyes, even when it was covered by your pillow. With a groan, I rolled out of bed, stumbling a little as I landed on my feet. I shuffled to my window and opened it halfway, shivering at the morning breeze blowing in. Quickly wrapping myself in a thick blanket, I walked out of my room and shut the door. The sound of something sizzling reached my ears, then the smell of something burning.  "Oh, come on Nick!?" I reached the kitchen and saw my roommate trying to cook some bacon. Nick turned around, laughing nervously. I watched with an annoyed and sleep-deprived expression. "What the hell did you do this time?" I said, scanning the kitchen. "Well... uhh." He began, before I just moved past him, further burying myself in the blanket. "I actually don't care, just get it cleaned up." I muttered, collapsing onto the couch and worming my way inbetween the couch cushions. My eyes shut once more, and I started to drift off into a peaceful sleep... Or at least, tried to. Nick was making little 5 year old kids banging pots and pans together and screaming sound like pleasant whispers. I swear at one point I heard the guy in the next room over knock to see what the noise was. It grew to be too much than I could take, so I looked up and saw Nick trying to balance all the dirty dishes in the sink. A second later they came crashing down. I hid in the couch again for a second, because of the shock, before hearing him shout "It's okay! Nothing broke!" I groaned. I sat up once more, and he walked toward me with a smile. He presented a plate of burned bacon, "I made you breakfast!" He said excitedly. I glanced at the shriveled peices of pig meat. "No thank you," I said, "I don't even like bacon. You know that." He grabbed his chest with fake sadness. "Oh thou heartless beast! Please heal the cuts in my heart and fill my soul with joy. Partake of this charred bacon, to sooth my wounds." "Was that supposed to be funny?" I asked, still grumpy from the morning. He gasped, putting the plate on the ground and getting on his knees. "Oh, sorry. I mean... 'I shall not hurt you... umm, but wont eat the bacon either." He looked up at me. "Is that really the best you can do?" I resisted the urge to slap him. "Why don't we just go out for breakfast instead?" "Good idea." It took about five minutes to reach the nearest fast food place, and we aneuvered around people to get the the counter. The casheir greeted us with a smile. "Welcome! How may I help you two today?" Nick glanced over the menu suspended above our heads, before deciding, "I'll get a breakfast burrito," The casheir nodded, writing it down, then looked at my, "And for you, Miss?" "Ummm," I looked at the selection, but nothing seemed appetising. "Could I get a... six peice chicken nugget, and some fries," I concluded with a dull voice. "What size fries?" "Medium." Nick looked at me sideways, and I could understand what he meant by that. Chicken nuggets? Really? I scrunched my nose and rolled my eyes. Yeah, so what? "Will that be for here, or to go?" The casheir asked. "Eh, for here." Nick replied. I looked at him again. I was hoping to get the food and go. "That'll be seven dollars and 25 cents please." I looked at my roomate, and he forked over the money. The casheir gave us a little plastic tent with the number '23' on it. "Just keep that on your table and we'll have your food right out for you!" He smiled, "Thank you!" We picked up the tent and moved to a table in the corner. I sat down in one of the chairs, and Nick sat across from me. It was silent a moment, before I saw him smile and let out a snicker. "What!?" I asked, still impatient. "Nothing, I just can't believe you ordered chicken nuggets and fries for breakfast." I turned away from him, not wanting to get into an argument about something stupid. After a couple minutes, a worker brought out our food. I quickly pulled out a fry and blew on it, shoving it in my mouth. I enjoyed it for about a second, then it suddenly turned sour. I covered my mouth and managed to swallow the strange tasting french fry. I looked up and saw everything in my vision swimming. I held my hand on the table for stability. Nick looked at me with a worried face. His lips formed words, but I couldn't hear them over the rining in my ears. Then suddenly, everything stopped. I couldn't hear a thing, and my vision went black. My entire body felt numb. I was sensationless for about a second, before bright colors flashed before my eyes, and I could hear a crowd of people talking. The sky was so blue. When did I get outside? And why is everything so brightly colored? I was thrown back into the black oblivion, then I saw Nick still looking at me worridly.
