A Skeleton Takes a Stroll through Ponyville
Equestria is a wonderful, peaceful place. There aren't any scary things going on usually. The town of Ponyville is one of the most peaceful and quiet towns to visit in Equestria. In Ponyville, there aren't that many sights to see except for the pastry store and the friendly folks that walk around, doing their daily business. Sadly, the residents in this quiet place are quite skittish due to the fact that nobody ever sees anything remotely spooky. Whenever someone from Ponyville does, it usually doesn't end up well for the pony.
It was a quiet day in the meadows near the town, nothing bad happening as usual. A female pony, picking flowers to put in her flower shop was frolicking around the field like any normal pony would.
"Oh, I'm having such a wonderful time here. I wonder what to get for my store? Bills are a pain in the rump." says the pony. Suddenly, the pony feels uneasy in this sanctuary of a meadow. She looks around, trying to find the source of her unease but fails to find anything noteworthy. The pony felt as if she were being watched. Examined. Scrutinized.
"Whoever i-is doing this, p-please stop! This isn't funny!" yells the pony, to no one in particular. No other Equestrians were within 500 yards of her! How could she feel like she was being watched? Then she looks over in the distance, looking in vain to find anything that could be dangerous. Her heart was beating faster and faster, her breathing getting heavier.
"P-please! I feel like I'm g-gonna-" she cried out, to no one in particular. Because there was no one there. Except for the human skeleton that was right behind her. She looks around and sees the skeleton, the skeleton's empty eye sockets looking into her very being. The skeleton was watching very closely, judging the pony's movements, thoughts, motives.
"HOWDY, I'M MR. BONE!" shrieked out the skeleton with a rattly and shaky high pitched voice. The pony was frozen still, her heart beating even faster now that she sees this... thing was right behind her this entire time.
"I'M PRETTY HUNGRY, IF I DO SAY SO MYSELF." Mr. Bone says as he pulls out a top hat from nowhere, places it on his head and tips it.
"P-please, don't eat me, you monster!" cries out the pony, heart beating at impossible speeds as tears are flowing down her face. A puddle forms on the ground. "I-I'm warning you! B-back off or else I-I'll-"
The pony's heart imploded inside of her, sending blood spewing out of her mouth and staining the glorious white bone that was on the skeleton's body. She could feel her internal organs failing as she slumped over and passed out on the ground, instantly dead.
"I WOULD EAT, BUT I HAVE NO STOMACH! HOHOHOHOHO!"
Since Mr. Bone seemed as if this creature didn't have any food to offer, he decided to go off in the direction of the town just ahead. Maybe he can find something to do! Maybe he could just take a walk.
A nice, leisurely walk would suit Mr. Bone just fine.
"THIS PLACE IS SO PRETTY, IT'S MAKING MY BONE HARD! HOHOHOHOHO!" uttered Mr. Bone to himself. A male pegasus was flying right above him right as he said that. The pegasus looked down at him and was immediately shocked by the scary sight laid upon the pone's eyes. The pegasus fell to the ground unmoving. The pegasus noticed that the thing was walking towards him. The pegasus, unfortunately, didn't have a strong heart.
"ARE YOU FEELING WELL, LITTLE PONY? HAVE YOU SEEN ANY SPOOKY SKELETONS BEFORE?" greeted Mr. Bone. The pegasus' heart exploded, sending pieces of meat-shrapnel flying out of his body, once again staining Mr. Bone's wonderful white sheen on his bones.
"I'M GOING TO HAVE THAT DRY CLEANED. THANKFULLY, I'M DRY AS A BONE! HOHOHOHOHOHO!"
Although Mr. Bone was laughing, he was disappointed at how many people here are so inconsiderate. He has to clean his bones every hour by now. Mr. Bone then thinks that maybe he should find somebody to clean his bones for him so he can continue on his leisurely stroll across the vast meadow. He then decides to head into town.
Not 5 minutes into walking into the town, everyone in there is causing a riot.
"HELP! THERE'S A MONSTER WALKING AROUND! HE'S GONNA EAT US!"
Mr. Bone didn't like how everyone was afraid of him, there was nothing to be afraid of in the first place. It also didn't help that everyone who got within 5 feet of him had a heart attack.
"THERE'S NOTHING TO BE AFRAID OF, I'M JUST A SKELETON!" Mr. Bone shrieked. Sadly enough for him, the ponies just freaked out even more.
"HE'S GOING TO KILL US! HE'S A SPOOKY SKELETON!" screamed another pony. The more and more people just screamed, the more it got into Mr. Bone's skull. He was starting to feel agitated and a little betrayed.
Mr. Bone couldn't find any dry cleaners, and anyone he asked just died. By the time he found anything resembling a clothes shop, everyone has evacuated the town. He just shrugged and walked into the carousel-like place. In there, he found a little pony with pink-ish hair and white fur.
"W-what is this thing? Rarity! Help!" shrieked the little pony.
"HOWDY, I'M MR. BONE! I'M AFRAID SOMEBODY HAD THEIR TIME OF THE MONTH AND NOW I NEED MY BONES TO BE DRY CLEANED." greeted Mr. Bone. Another white pony came down, with fancy looking blue hair.
"Sweetie Belle, what is the matter? Please tell me you didn't-" Rarity said, interrupted by her own screaming. She saw Mr. Bone and fainted, thankfully her heart didn't explode spontaneously.
"R-Rarity? D-did she just-" Sweetie Belle managed to stammer out.
"NO, SHE'S NOT DEAD. READERS WOULDN'T LIKE THAT AND THE AUTHOR CAN'T RISK A BUNCH OF RASCALS DOWNVOTING HIS PIECES OF ART FOR HURTING ANYBODY WHO FANS CARE ABOUT." said Mr. Bone.
"What?" Sweetie Belle said.
"TOO BAD FOR YOU, NOBODY LIKES YOU! HOHOHOHOHO!"
A minute later, Mr. Bone walks out of the establishment with a rag he took from the place. Sadly, because he can't get his bones dry cleaned he was just going to have to wipe off the blood. As he wiped off all the blood, pieces of heart matter and other bodily fluids splashed the windows of the building. Mr. Bone felt like a new man. He was now clean and ready to start over again. This time his visit wasn't well met. He was just going to have to burrow underground for another thousand years before he would try again.
Mr. Bone simply walked out back to the meadow, dug a hole, maybe even filled the hole with a few bodies and jumped in, then promptly buried himself. Now he just has to wait, again.
