Five years have passed ever since the end of the Human Pony War. A lot has changed to Earth Since the end of the war. The Alliance, a multinational military focused on maintaining peace became a global superpower with many nations backing it. Of course The Untied States on the other hand suffered badly from the HLA's invasion in Washington D.C. Their attacked caused the once great nation to fracture into several factions.
The Republic of Texas continues to be seceded from the Union and become its own govern nation, though still has ties with the Alliance. In the west coast California has joined itself with Washington, Oregon. Nevada has join into a conglomerate, as the state that felt neglected by the Union during the Pony crisis and relied on each other to sustained themselves and has yet to vote whether or not to return to the Union mostly from spite. As for the Rockies states like Colorado, Wyoming, the Dakotas, they pretty much went into complete isolation and have cut themselves off from the world save for Chilean Mountain region who still has most control over ICBMs networks still have loyalty to the Union.
The Alliance's capital, New Hope City, became a massive city in the years of it's development. Protected by a iron wall around the city and a magical barrier, it stands tall next to the U.S. Capital that is almost as big as New York.
Then there's the new energy source that was discovered by the Followers of Snowy. A crystal called "Resonance Energy," became a new energy source that was discovered after the last rainbow nuke had detonated. And now we begin our story with Isaac Petrenko, one of the three heroes who saved the world from destruction.
In a hanger at the New Hope City military base was Isaac who had been sleeping on the wing of his fighter after a long night of Virtual Reality flight training. He hadn't flown his Flanker in years ever since the war ended though he has kept it and the rest of his aircraft maintained just in case they are needed once again. Suddenly he heard a knock on the door which jolted him awake. He checked himself, remembering he was still in one piece after all the time he nearly faced death from the hands of the HLA. He then heard a voice from the door.
"Isaac! Lance needs us over at the meeting room. John is already there waiting for us."
It was Justin Ruiz, Isaac's young friend that he knew before the great war. Isaac groaned as he got up, putting on his uniform and heads to the door. He opens the door and squints from the bright morning daylight since he hasn't come out in days.
"Dude, don't you ever go out?" Justin looks at him with worry. "You haven't left that hanger of yours in almost a week."
"Comrade," Isaac yawned. "I need to keep myself ready for anything and keep those aircraft in good shape. Just like how you preen your wings."
"Uh! I have to keep my wings clean! There's a difference between that and maintaining a aircraft's engine."
Isaac chuckled as he sees Justin blush hard. The two knew each other ever all the back when Isaac was only a cadet in the Russian Air Force. Justin was like a second little brother to Isaac. The two head inside the base and head to the meeting room.
"Isaac, have you ever made plans to...go out with someone? Possibly take some time off from piloting?"
"Not really, piloting is in my blood ever since my father taught me the basics when I was only five." Isaac sighed as he pulled out a photo from his pocket. It was of him, his little brother Ivan being hugged by a tall man in a white trench coat with white hair. It was their father. "Where have you gone all these years, father?"
They reach the door as Isaac puts the photo away. He opens the door to see a mess of paper scattered around the floor. They then see General Lance and John collecting the papers.
"Er..what happened?" Justin asked.
"Dark Light from the Followers of Snowy Dr.Baulder delivered his research but it left a mess." Lance explained.
Justin and Isaac join in to help as they collect the papers. Isaac then noticed one paper that showed a resonance energy crystal with a portal above it.
"What's this?"
"Let me see." Lance takes it and looks at the paper. "Ah, that's what I was going to talk to you three about."
They collect the last of the papers and put it into a stack. Lance turns on the holo projector as it shows a large crystal shooting a beam in the air.
"As we all know, this crystal is called Resonance Energy. It's been mined in large amounts to be used as a new energy source."
"Yeah we know that." Justin said as three took their seats.
"But the Followers of Snowy have made a big discovery. Dark Light believes that it can be used for multidimensional travel."
The three froze when they heard that.
"That's impossible." John said. "That would mean the multiverse theory is real."
"Yes, tomorrow at noon, Dark Light and Baulder will begin the test with a generator of their own design. They want you three to be the test subjects."
"Are they crazy?!" Justin stands up. "What happens if the test backfires?"
"I don't know but they seem very confident with their discovery. Get prepped for the test tomorrow. The Arks will be there incase anything goes wrong."
Isaac smirked, finally he can fly his Flanker for once after all these years. The three got up and left the room as Lance turns off the projector.
"So we get to fly together again after all these years." Justin said, smiling.
"Heh yep." John added.
"I'm just glad I can fly again." Isaac stretches a bit. "You guys lucky for having wings. I have to wait when I can fly."
"Well then let's see if that VR training helped keep you from getting rusty." Justin said as Isaac chuckles.
"The Petrenkos never get rusty."
The next day, the three flew in formation over the airbase as they watched. John looked down and saw Lyra, his wife, in medical gear in case anything goes wrong. She looked worried cause she didn't want anything to go wrong. Baulder, a German human scientist and Dark Light, a black unicorn were doing the final checks on the generator. The Arks also flew over the base to keep an eye on things.
"Final checks are complete on the device. Ready Baulder?" Dark Light said, looking at him.
"Ya. Let's get this up and running."
The two work on begin working on computers as the generator starts up. A crystal placed on top of it starts to glow as it gathers energy.Isaac and the others wait to see what happens. As the crystal gathers enough energy glows brightly as it shoots a beam high in the air. It pierces through the clouds as the clouds clear up, showing a large portal.
"Alright you three, get through the portal and head back." Lance said on the radio as he watched in the Ark of the Moon's bridge.
Justin gulped nervously as the three gained speed. They flew as fast as they can and flew into the portal. Suddenly the portal distorted and starts closing up.
"What's going on down there?!" Lance yelled.
"I don't know general! The crystal is overloading!" Baulder said in a panic as the crystal explodes. The portal closes up as the crowd starts to panic. Their commanders just flew into the portal and it closed up.
"John!" Lyra screamed his name.
"Get the portal opened right now!"
